  • 446 – Silver Center Caps
  • 454 – Cruise Control
  • 490 – Sound System
  • 650 – Sunroof
  • 688 – CDR-210 Radio
  • 936 – Leather Rear Seats
  • 981 – Leather Dashboard and Door Panels
  • 983 – Leather Front Seats

This Carrera S is equipped with a 3.6-liter flat-six engine that sends as much as 282 HP to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. This example came optioned with the Motor Sound Package which equips a special airbox and louder mufflers for a more aggressive tone. Maintenance records have been provided for reference in the gallery including a 2022 invoice for new engine gaskets, spark plugs, and tires totaling over $7k.

@tampabaysportscars - Fair enough and thank you for confirmation. Here's a link about this very topic:

    http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-964-993-technical-forum/405296-got-rid-993-front-bumperettes-kind-how.html

  • tampabaysportscars (seller) 2 yearsago

@Archer1 Well, I misunderstood what the mechanic did years ago when I spoke to him before writing you. Yes, The bumper was modified, but not replace, so yes the bumper was painted.
    Sorry for the confusion

  • Archer1 (registered bidder) 2 yearsago

@tampabaysportscars -Thx for the reply, however this C2S being a US version, converting to Euro front bumper lights is not a Plug N-Play mod when the rubber Bumperettes are removed leaving a square cutout between the fog and turn signal lights on the bumper cover. So, either the bumper cover has to be patched or replaced with an Euro version which in either case, requires paintwork. Thx

  • tampabaysportscars (seller) 2 yearsago

@Archer1 I'll answer in the order you ask
    1. I don't like stone guards so I never put them on unless requested
    2. They were not replaced only the lights
    3. yes it has been lowered.
All were done prior to me buying the car, and prior to it going to Germany, other than the rock guards issue

  • Archer1 (registered bidder) 2 yearsago

@tampabaysportscars (seller) - Beautiful C2S and nicely presented. 3 questions:
Can you tell us why the Qtr panel stone guards not renewed after the paint work, have the front bumper cover been replaced with a Euro spec, and has car been lowered? Thx

  • JJ.Porsche (registered bidder) 2 years, 1 monthago

@tampabaysportscars thank you sir, makes perfect sense!! Dials / Cluster looks gorgeous on this car! GLWS!!

  • tampabaysportscars (seller) 2 years, 1 monthago

@JJ.Porsche Well, they were not addressed correctly some years ago. When we try to remove the rock guards before listing the car we found that the original removal had not been done correctly and someone had covered up their mistake by just replacing the new rock guards over their mistake.
So to be able to professionally blend the paint correctly we took the action we did.
    Hope this helps
    Charley

Beautiful 993 C2S and excellent presentation. If I can ask, why were the quarter panels painted after film removal jeopardizing originality of such low mileage beautiful machine? I have film removed and replaced on all of my cars, never a cause for repainting?

    Many thanks -

@artichoke 100% that is Rubicon carpet but not seats which throws me off , my Arena Red TT came with seats and carpet in Rubi that and is soo much better than classic gray

Rennwagen - included invoice from June 2022 shows line item of $1350 for painting quarter panels confirming what you note. Removing the old stone guards can be an artform and is very time consuming to do correctly without damaging paint.

  • artichoke (registered bidder) 2 years, 1 monthago

The carpet looks like Rubicon Gray, which has a slightly purple tint to it, (I have that color carpet and leather in my 96 993 C4 Cab). Was that standard with this color gray interior?

Gorgeous car and great options! Perhaps the old, yellowed or crusted stone guards were removed and the rear quarters needed refinishing because of that. Paint meter seems consistent with this.

  • Poorsche (registered bidder) 2 years, 1 monthago

Beautiful C2S....just a note of clarification, only Turbo and C4S came with the turbo (red) larger brakes, not the C2S.

  • antoniodelgad68 (registered bidder) 2 years, 1 monthago

Very nice car that should not get killed because of well done paint work. These cars are getting older and most will have paint work if they have been driven. Enjoy the bidding process. TD
