We are pleased to offer this 1998 Porsche 993 Carrera S finished in Arctic Silver Metallic. Among the very last air-cooled Porsches to have been produced, this final-year 993 Carrera S showcases optional 18” hollow-spoke wheels, the Motor Sound Package, a limited-slip differential with ABD, a rear window wiper, and a Midnight Blue interior with heated leather seats. Sold new from Beechmont Motors of Cincinnati, this 993 was acquired by the seller from its original owner in 2002 before being sold to its second and third owners in Virginia. Recently reacquired by the seller, this C2S has since undergone a major service and is now being offered for auction with approximately 35k miles showing on the odometer.
Finished in Arctic Silver Metallic, this Carrera S is distinguished by its wide Turbo-derived bodywork and unique split grille rear decklid. The car has been lowered to European ride height and a recent full paint correction and detail was performed by MX Autocare. Apart from a few small touched-up chips, the finish is described to have been preserved in excellent original condition. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with paint meter readings and a clean CARFAX report. This Carrera S was ordered with optional lightweight 18” Technology hollow-spoke wheels and colored Porsche center crests. These desirable Turbo-derived wheels come dressed in a set of new Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires.
Inside, this 993 showcases a Midnight Blue interior with matching floor mats and power-adjustable heated seats in leather. Standard features include a power sunroof, power windows, automatic climate control, headlight washers, power/heated mirrors, and remote entry with alarm. The cabin shows to have been very well maintained and the seller confirms all gauges and accessories to be working properly including the original CDR-210 radio.
This 993 is equipped with an air-cooled 3.6L flat-six featuring a VarioRam resonant induction system, DME engine management, dual exhaust system, and an output of up to 282 HP. The rear wheels are driven by way of a 6-speed manual gearbox with an optional limited-slip differential and Automatic Braking Differential (ABD). Standard performance features include front and rear stabilizer bars, multilink LSA rear suspension, and four-piston vented disc brakes with ABS. The car had been driven very sparingly by its prior owner and since acquiring the car, the seller has carried out a major service using all OEM parts including new brake pads, rotors, and sensors, fluid and filter changes, new valve lifters, spark plugs, engine accessory belts, a new battery, and hood struts. A small leak was also detected in the power steering system which was subsequently rebuilt using a KLA Industries seal kit and two new steering rack boots.
This sale will include the original window sticker, owner's manuals, stamped dealer maintenance book, a set of keys, an air compressor, toolkit, and a clean title. A nicely preserved and unmolested example of what is arguably the most desirable 993 of all, this final-year Carrera S makes an excellent choice for collectors and discerning drivers alike.

@MCCresto responded to your LinkedIn message, great to catch up. My daughter and her "rocket scientist" husband live in Huntsville will have to send them by! Crazy things happen on PCar...
@CScrogham Cole, I would love to catch up some time. My hobby and collection have gotten out of control over the last 20 years or so to the point of starting a Porsche centric shop. We've restored a number of air-cooled Pcars at Martin's Classic Cars LLC in Huntsville, AL.
I've dropped you a note through LinkedIn.
Thanks,
Martin Folgmann
@MCCresto great to see your name again! My father passed this spring, but always looked after your old car. I was doing my motorsport tour at the time but have known it for pretty much all its life in Va, still looks as good as ever hope you're proud to see it. DM me if you need any additional info on my Dad. Cole
OMG. I'm the original owner of this car. Weldon S. bought it from me in 2002. It was much loved for 4 1/2 years and around 22K miles, if I remember correctly. For some dumb reason I always wanted the latest and greatest back then and 'upgraded' to water cooled cars for a while.
Last year I found a virtually identical car w less than 6K miles. IMO these are the best of all 911s ever built.

@WillWedge Thanks Will...remember, tell management its an investment that just happens to roll ;)
@CScrogham As recently as five years ago I could have justified one of these to management. But not in today's hot market. GLWTA -- it's a beautiful example.
Hi all...this is the day. I will be available to answer any last minute questions, this might be your last chance to own an original paint low mileage Carrera S-don't let it slip away. Keep that browser refreshed!
@WillWedge haha that's the L999 Code Non-Metallic PTS Ivory Pumpkin ;)
"...are there any..." (Not enough coffee yet.)
Remind me please, what's the Zuffenhausen option code for a white pumpkin? And are they any paint-meter readings for it?
@911guy Unfortunately, I’m a spectator for now for a few reasons. One is that i have no room for what I have. This 993 however, is tempting me for sure.

First class car from one of the best sellers in the country, this one has a little way to go!
Best detailed 993 you will find, classic color combination right options, good luck.
@Rollintrey You should pull the trigger then!!
@911guy The Blue interior is what makes this car so special!
The Silver/Blue is a stunning combination.
Yes it’s always subjective. But IMHO the twin grill with that interior is fantastic.
@CScrogham Thank you for your prompt replies. My VERY supportive PCAR wife agrees that the blue is just not me, so I'm going to have to pass on this special car. I sure hope to see other such offerings from you soon. Anxious to fill a spot in the garage!
Amazing!
@911guy I did a walk around of the interior at various angles to perhaps get a better concept of the Midnight Blue/Black interior color, thanks for your question hopefully that helps someone else as well. Asked Pcar to upload this https://youtu.be/mka8cCFfRwY
@911guy just responded to your DM, of course you are welcome to see the car. I think you will be blown away by the presentation in person, I'm biased of course but I personally feel this is one of the best presented and prepared 993S cars out there.
btw just saw there is a '97 silver/black S I saw on the other auction site and a 4S that Tarek has for sale if that is your only combo, don't think there are any other S available at the moment in silver/black
@CScrogham Thank you - some photos do show it as dark, but the one's with the doors open display the brightness that I'm not a fan of. It would not be a hateful task to switch out the interior 'blue' pieces to black...mmm...giving thought to that. With two days left on the auction, there is time for me to come see the car.
@911guy I'm looking again at the interior photos tho, not sure if they accurately portray the interior color. Its really not that bright, with the door closed appears black through the windows, the separate seat photos are a more accurate depiction. Not trying to sell you on the blue/black just an observation because in some photos it looks downright purple which is not the case.
@911guy I understand completely, I thought the world had grown tired of silver/black 911's but it certainly is a classic combo. Good luck in your search!
Oh man...just the quality of 993 I'm aggressively looking for, and located an easy drive from me....but I'm firm on a black interior. I keep looking again and again at the interior but just not me. Wish it was not so. GLWS, but the quality (and seller) is what will sell it...not 'luck'.
@RSPDX Thanks! Hoping someone will really enjoy this one!
A positively stunning example of Porsche's finest!! GLWTA, Cole!!
@CScrogham lol, i'm absolutely no guru by any means...but i do appreciate someone that takes the time to properly sort out a car before listing it for sale as you did. Good luck Cole.
@Tarek307 means a lot coming from the 993 guru!
I know the seller of this car, and all the work he put into sorting it out to bring a proper car to market, straight forward solid seller- bid with confidence..this one should do very well .
@jaysavio happy to do it, every time I open the door the familiar smell of Porsche leather interior makes me smile!
@CScrogham Thanks for the quick response! Great presentation of the car.
@jaysavio I just started the car and noted the gauge is working properly, was a cold start so easy to see. Asked PCar to upload this video https://youtu.be/vTLVf97Vgpw so you can verify. Thanks for the interest in the Carrera S!
@jaysavio I will take a look.
@CScrogham Oil pressure needle appears to be pegged in the driving video. Can you confirm if this is operational?
Thanks @joejenie and @Rare9 for getting the party started!
