Representing the very end of production for the air-cooled Porsche 911, this 1998 Porsche 911 Carrera 2 is one of only 1,201 Cabriolets built for North America in the 993’s final model year. It comes finished in Glacier White over a Midnight Blue interior and was factory-equipped with optional supple leather seats, the Technic Package, the Motor Sound Package, 17” Cup Design wheels, and a 6-speed manual transmission. First registered in North Carolina, this 993 was acquired by the seller in 2013 and is now being offered for auction out of Florida while showing approximately 54k miles on the odometer.
This 993 is finished in Glacier White with a Dark Blue power convertible top and features Litronic bi-xenon headlights with washers as part of the optional Technic Package. The car rides on factory 17” Cup 2 wheels dressed in Michelin tires. Other equipment includes a speed-activated rear spoiler, heated and power-operated mirrors, integrated front fog lights, dual exhaust outlets, and black brake calipers with white Porsche lettering. The seller describes the exterior to be in excellent overall condition apart from some cracking on the rear bumper, detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The Midnight Blue interior features optional supple leather seats and Midnight Blue carpet floor mats as well as a 6-disc CD changer. The Technic Package also includes a HiFi sound system, a cabin wind deflector, and an onboard computer. Other equipment includes power windows, a central locking system, automatic climate control, electrically height-adjustable front seats, cruise control, and an AM/FM/Cassette stereo.
The air-cooled 3.6-liter flat-six engine features a Varioram resonant induction system and delivers up to 282 HP to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. The optional Motor Sound Package provides a more aggressive tone with a louder airbox and mufflers. The chassis includes fully independent suspension with front & rear stabilizer bars and a Multi-Link LSA rear suspension as well as four-piston vented disc brakes with ABS. The seller indicates all routine service has been kept up to date and an extensive collection of maintenance records will be provided to the next owner.
This sale will include the original window sticker, owner’s manuals, a toolkit, a spare tire, an air pump, service records, and a clean title.

@msoares hello, we are on the phone with the seller. He has never had any paintwork done to the car under his ownership, he also does not believe anything has ever been painted, however, he does not have a meter available. Hope this helps.

the car does have rear an front sensor for a radar detector. the switch is on the dash. as for the rear lid. it has a spoiler in it and is very heavy. the lifting struts give our and for safety sake the dowl holds is up so it will not fall on someone working on the car

How many keys come with the car and do they have the key immobilizer ?
Can you explain why the front town hitch cover in the bumper is missing ? Did the car needed to be towed to a location ? Do you have the original piece to put back in the front bumper ?
Do you have date codes of the tires ?
Can you provide a ignition on / start engine video to see the gauge cluster operations ?
Any leaks from/under the engine ? Valve covers etc ?

Speaking of that fancy that motor lid stick option, should we assume the frunk lid and rear lid hydraulic arms no longer function? (BTW, they are very inexpensive and easy to replace.)
