Making its debut in 1992, The second-generation (E36) BMW M3 launched in the United States for the 1995 model year and is widely admired for its responsive handling, dynamic chassis balance, and communicative steering. This 1998 example is finished in Dakar Yellow II over a black interior and has been extensively modified including an Active Autowerke Stage 1 supercharger kit, an NX EFI nitrous oxide system, 18” SSR Comp wheels, H&R coilovers, chassis bracing, a StopTech big brake kit, Sparco seats and harnesses, a half roll cage, and much more. This M3 is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Connecticut showing approximately 83k miles on the odometer.
The M3 is distinguishable from a standard E36 3-series by its more aggressive front air dam and rear diffuser, flared rocker panels, M-Style aerodynamic mirrors, M3-branded body moldings, and a polished dual-tipped exhaust outlet. Finished in Dakar Yellow II (337), this E36 has been modified with aftermarket ZKW headlights with HID bulbs and daytime running lights, a Fiber Images carbon-fiber hood, a Racing Dynamics front splitter, 18” SSR Comp wheels wrapped in Pirelli P Zero tires, clear side markers, and rear turn signal lenses. Additionally, the windows have been tinted and parts brand decals have been fitted to the side skirts and hood. The seller notes the door handle gaskets are dry-rotted. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin features Sparco front seats with matching harnesses and a yellow-painted half cage. The center stack has been fitted with a custom aluminum panel that houses an Apexi AFC Select airflow computer, a custom switch panel, and the relocated stock traction control and window switches. Other modifications include a MOMO Trek-R steering wheel, a stainless steel UUC shift knob & e-brake handle, AC Schnitzer pedals, M-logo embroidered quilted floor mats, a fire extinguisher, and a center console-mounted Greddy turbo timer. The rear seats have been removed in favor of dual, yellow-painted nitrous bottles, and auxiliary AutoMeter gauges for boost pressure, oil pressure air-fuel ratio, and exhaust temperature are mounted to the dashboard. The seller reports that wear is present on the center armrest and that the air conditioning system has been removed.
Powered by a 3.2-liter S52 inline-six engine, this M3 sends power to its rear wheels by way of a 5-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. It has been modified with an Active Autowerke Stage 1 supercharger kit, an Active Autowerke front-mount intercooler, an auxiliary oil cooler, an aftermarket exhaust system, headers, tuning software, and an NX N-tercooler kit. Additional modifications include high-flow fuel injectors, an Active Autowerke air intake, a Samco hose kit, a Fluidyne aluminum radiator, dual 10” electric fans, a Clutch Masters Stage 2 clutch and lightened flywheel, an AA tuning short shifter and differential brace, a JT Designs race transmission brace, and UUC clutch bushings. The seller reports having replaced the drive belts and thermostat in July 2021, along with a coolant change in May 2024, and states that the car is not equipped with catalytic converters.
This sale will include a clean title.

Is it wrapped or are those hard tape lines around the trim, badges and emblem in photos 29, 36, 45, and 46? If paint, how would you rate overall exterior paint?
Anything that needs to be addressed in the short term? Any engine leaks? Thanks.
Thanks everyone for your interest! I look forward to the end of the auction and I am here for any questions.

This is a really unique build, reminds me of the proper time era with the mods/color. Best of luck to the seller and buyer.
