The ultimate evolution of the air-cooled 911 Turbo, the 993 Turbo S was offered through Porsche’s Exclusive Department as the fastest and most luxurious road-going 911 yet. 345 examples were built in total, of which only 183 were destined for the U.S. market.  This 993 was sold new through Copans Motors, Inc. of Pompano Beach, Florida, and comes finished in Black over a matching leather interior with optional supple leather seats and Porsche crested headrests.  Having spent much of its life in Washington where it was serviced by Porsche Bellevue, it was eventually brought to Canepa in 2020 for comprehensive detailing and refreshment. This rare 993 Turbo S is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Texas showing under 2,800 miles on the odometer.

The Turbo S came factory equipped with Aerokit II front and rear spoilers as well as front brake cooling ducts, quad exhaust tips, and 959-style air intakes in the rear quarters.  Other unique factory details include Speed Yellow painted brake calipers and 18” hollow-spoke wheels with special model logo center caps. At Canepa in 2020, the car was thoroughly detailed and refurbished including replacement of the original clear stone guards, steam cleaning the chassis, and refinishing the wheels.  Four new tires were also mounted and balanced during this time. The seller reports the rear bumper and quarter panel were previously refinished to address a scratch. Additional images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report and project outline from Canepa.

Inside, this Turbo S features a special black full leather interior including carbon fiber trim on the dashboard, door panels, and instrument surround. Other details include aluminum-look instrument dials, aluminum shifter, and handbrake inlays, stainless steel door sills with model logos, and “Turbo S” embroidered carpet in the luggage compartment.  This example features optional supple leather seats with Porsche crested headrests and driver-side lumbar support.  The interior was thoroughly detailed and conditioned at Canepa in 2020.

For the Turbo S, its 3.6L twin-turbocharged flat-six engine received a special performance kit from the Works I Exclusive Department including a pair of larger K24 turbos, a modified engine management system, and an additional oil cooler.  This upgrade provided an output of up to 430 HP which is sent to all four wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. The brake system was flushed and bled at Canepa in 2020 along with a four-wheel alignment and installation of new alternator and fan belts.

This sale will include a binder of maintenance records and a clean title.
