We are pleased to offer this 1997 Porsche 993 Turbo finished in Arena Red Metallic. The last of the air-cooled 911 Turbos, this 993 was sold new in California and features a Classic Grey leather interior with optional supple leather seats and the exclusive Light Rootwood Package. It has remained on the West Coast throughout its life and was acquired by the seller about a year and a half ago from the estate of a long-term previous owner. This Turbo has been driven approximately 300 miles since while also receiving new front struts and lower valve cover gaskets. It is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Washington with just over 43k miles showing on the odometer.
This 993 comes finished in Turbo’s debut color of Arena Red Metallic. The Turbo is characterized by its wide fenders, broad rocker panels, body-colored rear spoiler, and unique front fascia with three lower air inlets. Minor cosmetic imperfections are depicted including a few small chips on the front end and some light hairline scratches on the roof. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with paint meter readings and a clean CARFAX report. This Turbo rides on factory lightweight 18” Technology hollow-spoke wheels fitted with optional colored Porsche center crests and a set of Continental ExtremeContact Sport tires dated from 2020.
Inside, this 993 sports a Classic Grey leather interior with optional supple leather seats and the exclusive Light Rootwood Package (Y59) which adds veneered trim to the dashboard, steering wheel, shifter, and handbrake lever. A sunroof is equipped, the headrests are embossed with Porsche crests, and the entranceways are accented by stainless steel door sill guards with Turbo script. Standard features include a rear window wiper, onboard computer, Litronic xenon headlights, and power-operated seats. Some signs of wear are present on the front seats, shift knob, and driver-side inner door handle. The original radio remains in place and the factory specifications label on the underside of the hood lists the following options:
The air-cooled 3.6L flat-six engine features twin K-16 turbochargers, dual-charge air intercoolers, and Bosch Motronic M 5.2 engine management. A 6-speed manual transmission sends up to 408 HP and 398 lb.-ft of torque and to all four wheels while stopping power is handled by red-painted fixed 4-piston aluminum Brembo brake calipers paired with 322mm cross-drilled rotors front and rear. The dynamic limited-slip system with Active Brake Differential (ABD) and a limited-slip differential are also equipped as standard. A 30k-mile service was completed by European Autohaus in 2015 including new belts and ignition components. Since acquiring the car in 2020, the seller has also had both front struts replaced along with the lower valve cover gaskets. Corresponding invoices are provided in the gallery.
This sale will include the original owner's manuals, stamped service booklet, a window sticker, and a clean title. Presented in its quintessential Arena Red Metallic theme, this nicely preserved 993 Turbo makes a great choice for collectors and discerning drivers alike.

@Car_guy The Porsche dealer did not know what a Cert of Authenticiy was? In the engine compartment, take a look at the lower righthand corner of your engine case near where the inner belt is lowest near the sheet metal. You should see the engine number stamped into the Aluminum case.

@dantesinferno I do not have a COA for the car. I asked my local porsche dealership for one when I originally bought the car and no one there knew what I was asking for. As far as I know it's the original engine. I don't know if there's anyway to prove it. Do you know if they have numbers stamped engines? If they are I could try to take a picture of it. And unfortunately I do not have the tool kit
