We are pleased to present this 1997 Porsche 993 Carrera S Coupe finished in Zenith Blue Metallic over a Midnight Blue leather interior. While it may be a daunting task to take an already stellar 993 Carrera S to the next level, this example seems to do it with ease. Equipped with exclusive factory options along with a handful of distinctive upgrades, it is clear that this Carrera S coupe is something special. As previously listed on PCARMARKET and now showing just 52k well-documented miles on the odometer, this example is being offered in excellent condition by its seller in Florida.
The rare Zenith Blue Metallic finish on this Carrera S is said to be in excellent condition which is clear when viewing the gallery photos. With the goal of bringing this Carrera S to a concours-level, the seller had the hood, bumper and rear deck professionally refinished. All work was performed by the restoration experts at Gassman Automotive in Waynesboro, Virginia. Immediately following completion, the entire front end clip and mirrors were covered with XPEL protection film for the next owners convenience. Although the Carfax report does note slight damage under the previous owners care, an inspection performed prior to the seller’s purchase revealed that no damage of any significance was ever sustained.
In January of 2019, this 911 was transported to Madison Automotive Apprentices in Harrisonburg, Virginia, home to the concours-winning staff headed by well-known Porsche expert, Cole Scrogham. The car was thoroughly inspected and underwent a thorough refreshment including the installation of a color matched three spoke 996 steering wheel along with a deep cleaning of the seats and carpeting. The seller notes that stainless steel door sills with “Carrera S” designation were also installed along with a new pedal set and a hidden Valentine Radar detector. This unique Midnight Blue interior is said to be in excellent condition with all electronics in working order.
This Carrera S is equipped with its original air-cooled 3.6 L flat-six engine rated at 282 HP and 250 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels by way of a smooth 6-speed manual transmission paired with an optional torque limited slip differential. A Bilstein adjustable coilover suspension has also been installed and is currently set to a European ride height for a tasteful look as well as increased handling capabilities. An extensive amount of maintenance items have recently been addressed including the replacement of the following items:
This Carrera S is said to be in excellent running condition.
The sale will include two keys, factory books, a Certificate of Authenticity, an additional decklid, and a Carfax report. Don't miss your chance to own this truly special 993 Carrera S Coupe.

I noticed couple of days ago a black regular 1996 C4 with 47k miles sold for $81k ($85k including auction fee) at a different car auction site. Since this is a 1997 C2S with an extremely rare exterior and interior color combo which is very difficult to find, at this bid price of $81,500, it definitely has to be an absolute steal of the century.

rgs454 - 2 wheel drive and 4 wheel drive
@rgs454 most would say the 97/98 S is the one to own and would be reflected in the market.
Is there a difference in value between a C2S and a C4S?

@Duuuval Is the turbo tail included?
New video just loaded. Currently I have place the turbo tail on the car. It also comes with a matching split screen spoiler deck.
is there an aftermarket rear deck lid on this vehicle?
This definitely has to be one of the most gorgeous and eye catching 993 C2S that exists. I’m certain we can all agree that this color combo is exceptionally rare and I’m guessing only about a handful (max) were ever produced in this color combo with U.S. specifications. I’m sure this car is well worth north of $130k minimum. It’s very beautiful!

@Duuuval Thanks for showing the car, it's absolutely stunning. The zenith blue really pops in the sunlight.
@m5biemer thank you for viewing the 993 earlier, pleasure to meet you.
@Katman90 On my quest to buy a 993, I drove many; this was one of them. I was searching for the car that felt “right” to me. There was a Glacier White one I passed on and regretted and I ultimately bought two.
I don’t have enough specific recollection of this one, other than the roads on which we drove. I wish I had taken notes.
@spyderman2 if you are the winning bidder and wish to have a PPI, I have no objections.
@Pump993 lots of tasteful refinements have me made to the vehicle as described in the listing. Thankfully, the gentleman I purchased the vehicle from made sure to catalog and retain most of the original parts ie airbox, steering wheel .....even the gas cap.

Is everything on the car stock and original ?
Looking at the air box it does not look original.
Bid in the amount of $25,000
@gillesnantel please message me your number so I may contact you
Have you had a recent PPI done ? Will you sell subject to a satisfactory PPI at a Porsche dealership ?
WHEN CAN I GO SEE IT
TOMORROW POSSIBLE
@m5biemer message me your contact info and I will reach out to coordinate. Thank you
@HelpMeHelpU the most intriguing to me ISN'T roads you test drove it on - why on earth would we care about that. It's why you didn't buy it??? Were you just tire kicking, or unable to reach fair terms? This is a beautiful 911 in a very rare color & condition. Stunning color.
I'm in St Johns and would like to make an appt to see it. Thanks.
Bid in the amount of $10,000
@Duuuval - thanks for the input on the rust. It does look like a well cared for car but have to ask having lived in NY for 10 yrs....
Any insight on the other questions:
2. I see a USB dual jack - is this just for powering your devices or is it connected to the stereo?
3. Has there been any work done to the sun roof cables or seals? Everything tight? No leaks?
4. There is a device hanging over the clutch pedal (Pic #33) with a yellow cap. What is this?
6. The second deck lid is the whale tail in the final photo's? Which was stock, the current deck lid or the whale?
Thanks again.
Bid in the amount of $5,999
@jmg525 thanks to your stewardship and care for the first 12yrs of this gems life. The last ten have clearly been equally well cared.
@tfroeh8 previous owner had these professionally painted and look amazing against the zenith blue.
@kjkaley no signs of rust or bubbles. I purchased the vehicle from a gentleman in April who was incredibly meticulous about care and delivering as impeccable a 993 with 52k miles as one could. I literally have only driven the car about 180 miles over 4 months, which is the reason I decided to list. If I am not going to use then it’s time to let someone else enjoy. The car is incredibly tight, smooth riding and a clutch like butter. Previous owner ensured that he had a well sorted and flawless example and it shows.
@Duuuval Hi.I was the owner of this car from 1998 until around 2010.If you have any questions about the car I can gladly answer them.. Car looks well taken care of. Still a beauty...
Bid in the amount of $5,000
Seeing the color and yellow calipers, I thought this car looked familiar. And then I checked the Carfax. I drove this car a few years ago, when I was searching for a 993. I remember the roads on which we drove and I loved the roads.
Given the color, the WB C2S, and the miles, this would seem the absolutely perfect 993 to buy and DRIVE.
@gillesnantel This is an auction, so you have to wait until it's over to learn the best price, because the best price buys the car, assuming it passes reserve.
@Duuuval - great looking color! Look forward to seeing where this one goes. I had a few questions:
1. This car has spent a lot of time in NY/NE area. Was it driven on salty roads? Any indiciations of rust or rust bubbles?
5. There were a few failed emission checks early. Any insight as to why?
6. The send deck lid is the whale tail in the final photo's?
Thanks in advance. GLWTA.
I noticed the yellow brake calipers. Did someone install carbon ceramic discs? The usual color of the calipers on cars with steel discs is red.
@gillesnantel thanks for the interest. I am located in Jacksonville Florida. When were you wanting to view the car?
Go luck to all bidders. Happy to answer questions as best I can.
I LEAVE IN HALLANDALE FL
where and when can i see the car
