Finished in Arctic Silver Metallic over Black upholstery, this 1997 Porsche 993 Carrera Coupe pairs a 6-speed manual transmission with its air-cooled 3.6L flat-six Varioram engine. It was also configured with the Motor Sound Package, a 6-disc CD changer, a sunroof, cruise control, and more. Acquired by the second owner and current seller in 2001 at approximately 10k miles, it has been meticulously serviced since and is now being offered for auction out of Connecticut with fewer than 88k miles showing on the odometer.
This 993 is finished in Arctic Silver Metallic and fitted with 17″ Cup II wheels. Equipment includes a speed-activated rear spoiler, dual exhaust outlets, headlight washers, fog lights, and power-adjustable mirrors. Additionally, LED headlights have been installed and the ride height has been lowered. The seller notes minor road wear, and the front bumper, driver-side front fender & quarter panel, sunroof, and rear bumper have been refinished. The seller confirms no structural damage, while the CARFAX report indicates minor damage in November 2024. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.
The cabin is appointed with Black partial leather upholstery with matching carpets. Amenities include an 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, an electric sliding sunroof, automatic climate control, cruise control, and a replacement Continental radio. Additional modifications include a phone holder along with a cup holder in place the original cassette holder. The seller reports that all gauges and accessories are fully functional.
This Carrera is equipped with a 3.6-liter flat-six Varioram engine that sends as much as 282 HP to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. The optional Motor Sound Package equips a unique airbox and louder mufflers for a more aggressive tone. In 2019, the engine was removed for a top-end rebuild, which included replacing the spark plugs, ignition wires, distributor cap, all top-end gaskets and seals including piston rings, and the rear main seal & intermediate shaft bearing seal. The cylinder heads were resurfaced, and the steering rack and front tie rods were replaced. A suspension refresh was completed in 2022 with new Bilstein shocks, struts, and springs for both the front and rear. In 2024, the clutch, clutch release arm, clutch fork, and both the clutch master and slave cylinders were replaced. The seller also reports annual oil changes.
This sale will include a clean title and service documentation.
The seller would like you to know: “Car drives great very sad to sell thought I would own forever, just purchased a 2021 992 and do not have room in my garage for two.”

@johnhyrum fender replace car was moving glancing hit side to side
Was the fender repaired or replaced? How did the accident happen? Was the car stationary at the time or moving?
@PorschePhanatic Fairfield collision in Fairfield CT
Which Shop did the Body repairs - that would be helpful as well.
Bid in the amount of $30,500
@UpNorthMN invoices will be posted shortly, if you mean the door stops they have both been repaired
My bad, my comment was meant for the seller, Jrjrmrsrjr. Not JMarion.
JMarion, B6 and B8 are both Bilstein, and 993 owners like myself are more than a little OCD about which ones are used. Knowing the brand of spring that has been used helps a lot too. Can you post pics of the key service records like your suspension upgrade and top end work? It would alleviate a lot of questions. Also, could you post pics of where both door straps enter the car? Thanks!
@JMarion bilstein
What type of shocks and springs were used for the suspension? B6? B8? H&R?
Bid in the amount of $9,993
@6thinline9 not that I see maybe that is from the angle of the shot ?
@6thinline9 I am the 2nd owner I think that was updated in the description
@Jrjrmrsrjr bummer about the accident. Picture 22 shows a tight panel fit ... are any of the body panels touching/rubbing?
@Jrjrmrsrjr Carfax shows one owner?
@jayflores yes wheel was repaired and alignment done drives great
Does the car drive straight? I noticed that the driver side wheel was hit as well. You spent $189 on the wheel repair.
Bid in the amount of $993
@Jrjrmrsrjr picture from accident and body shop invoice added
@Jrjrmrsrjr Manufacturer recommends a re-charge every 2 years for optimal performance and to reduce the risk of low refrigerant levels. evaporator was never replaced. A/C recharge performed in May of 2023.
@Craignyc yes will have to try to figure out how to add
@Funracer AC works great will ask my shop about the recharge and evaporator
All of the A/C system working well? How often does it need a recharge? Evaporator ever been replaced?
Is there any documentation or pictures from the accident? Thank you
