Presented in the striking color of Wimbledon Green Metallic, this 1997 Porsche 993 Carrera Cabriolet features a 6-speed manual transmission paired with its air-cooled 3.6-liter flat-six. The car remained with its second owner from 2002 until 2021 when it was sold on PCARMARKET. Purchased by the current owner in 2022 and treated a host of services and refurbishment, this 993 is now being offered for auction out of Florida with under 46k miles showing on the odometer.
This Carrera is finished in Wimbledon Green Metallic, a rarely seen and highly sought-after color named for the famous Porsche-sponsored Wimbledon Tennis Championships in London. It features a black convertible top, a speed-activated rear spoiler, optional stainless-steel tailpipes, Porsche-branded brake calipers, and optional Turbo-style 18” Technology hollow-spoke wheels. New Michelin Pilot Sport AS4 tires were installed in January 2022 and refurbishments completed by the current owner include touch-ups on the front end, dent repair, refinishing the rear bumper cover, and replacing the wiper blades and brake light bulbs. The seller adds that the original clear stone guard decals show some cracks from age. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a CARFAX report showing minor damage in 2022.
The Classic Grey and Black partial leather interior includes optional 8-way power seats, stainless-steel door entry guards, aluminum-look instrument dials, an aluminum shift knob, and an aluminum-trimmed parking brake handle. The driver is also provided with power windows and mirrors, a central locking system, automatic climate control, cruise control, and a sound system with a Porsche CDR-210 head unit. The convertible top wiring harness was repaired under current ownership along with replacing a window switch, seat rail cables, an interior light fuse, and the center interior light. The seller notes a leak in the air conditioning system.
An air-cooled 3.6-liter flat-six engine with a Varioram air intake delivers up to 282 HP and 250 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission with an optional limited-slip differential and Automatic Braking Differential (ABD). Service completed by the current owner includes an oil change, a new engine air filter, and new drive belts.

@HOF-Porsche we had the same thing in mind at the same time. I just submitted this car to Rennbow. There is only one other 993 on the Rennbow site.
That is correct, this paint color is rated a 5 out of 5 for rarity on Rennbow. That's as rare as it gets. This was a special order color for 1997, but I'm not sure if it was labeled as "paint to sample" or "special order." From the research I have done this paint was available on the 911 in 1993, 1999-2001, and 2005-2008, but for the 993 it was a special order option.

@HOF-Porsche side damage is incorrect. Only the rear bumper was removed and repainted. Receipt attached. No original sticker unfortunately.
The Carfax also lists damage to the drivers side?? Any details?

@Dozer all other paint is original. No clear bra. Only paint protection film is the stone guard and it could/should be replaced easily by and PPF shop. It is old and cracked. Usually runs between $200-$300 to replace that.

The original listing shows a wind deflector came with the car. Is one still available for it or did I miss it in the photos?
Videos added. Driving video you will see the speedo needle hesitate. Owner says this happens from time to time, but odometer works perfectly.

Hi everyone, I inspected this car for a friend when it was listed for auction on Pcar market in January 2022, it’s an amazing color. The condition was great, i do remember those two cracks on the rear bumper they was only about an inch or two each, I believe if you find the previous listing you will see them. .. I also drove the car was spectacular it was so clean in the details. It was hard to believe it had 40,000 miles looked more like 10,000 or 15,000 miles. I met with the lady and her fiancé who moved to California from New Jersey. Hard to forget a car like this. Good luck to all bidders and seller.

I’m helping my private client sell this gorgeous 993 Cab. Transaction will be between the winning bidder and the private owner.
Since the last auction and under current ownership the car has had repairs done. Jan 2022 oil change and new Michelin Pilot Sport AS4 Tires front and rear. Feb 2022 repaired and repainted rear bumper, dents and detailed. New key fob, belt service. Seat rail cables replaced as well. Feb 2023 oil change, front plate installed, new wipers, and engine air filter replaced. Just serviced on July 24th, 2024 as well. Ready for a new home.
The Carfax does show damage, not an accident, just a respray and repair of the rear bumper. It had two cracks in the bumper when he bought it and he got them fixed right away. No side damage, trying to get this fixed on the Carfax.
