Available for auction is this 1997 Porsche 993 Carrera 4S 6-speed. Finished in Black over black leather, this 993 features the widened bodywork of the Turbo model combined with all-wheel-drive and naturally aspirated performance. This all-original 993 benefits from the factory optioned motor sound package which adds less restrictive mufflers, chrome drilled intake airbox, and chromed exhaust finishers. A pre-purchase inspection report from the time of the seller's purchase is included as well as a CARFAX showing dealer services. Showing just over 57K-miles on the odometer, this sought-after 993 Carrera 4S is now being offered by its seller out of New Hyde Park, New York.
The Black finish on this Carrera is described to be in great original condition (detailed images are provided in the photo gallery). Paint protection film covers the rear fenders serving as stone guards and paint meter readings are available. The only flaws noted to the finish are some stone chips on the front bumper and a scratch near the front passenger side headlight. Factory 18” Turbo Twist wheels are equipped, wrapped in new Michellin Pilot sport tires (mounted in 2019).
Inside, this 993 features a black leather interior that is said to be in original condition, as can be seen in the photo gallery. The only flaw noted by the seller is some normal creasing of the leather on the seats. All power accessories are said to remain fully functional including an aftermarket Alpine head unit. Other factory features include cruise control, a 6-disc CD changer, and air conditioning.
Power comes from a 3.6 L VarioCam flat-six engine rated at 282 HP. All four wheels are driven through a 6-speed manual transmission which allows this C4S to accelerate from 0-60 MPH in as little as 5.2 seconds. The car is said to be in great mechanical condition according to the seller, having had a recent oil and filter service, bringing it up-to-date on maintenance. The car is noted to be free of any mechanical modifications.
Included in this sale will be two sets of keys, original owners manuals, tool kit, spare tire, original jack, a clean CARFAX report, and a clean title. This 993 represents the final model year of the venerable air-cooled 911 and is dressed in arguably the most desirable spec available making it an excellent choice for any discerning enthusiast.

@aboyandhisdog or maybe 40 Fiats... you have to compare apples with apples right !!!
@BlueTTop huh, Wow
@aboyandhisdog You can never compare an air cooled to a water cooled, air cooled are extremely special vehicles specially the 993, which is the best model ever
@Imperial Haha...congratulations to the seller!

@siabond26 Thanks
@Imperial I totally agree with you. The performance and acceleration of a 993 widebody is not even comparable to a 993 narrow body. The only reason I mentioned the sale of the C2 is to show you how much the narrow body 993s are selling for with 82k miles. Good luck with the sale of your car.
Handsome 993 !
Was hoping to bid with the money from selling my Cobra a few days ago but no joy..
Good luck to all
@siabond26 In my opinion there is no comparison to a regular C2. The C4S is basically a turbo from the brakes to the suspension less the actual turbos. This model is my personal favorite.
This is a gorgeous looking 1997 4S. The 993 vehicles are very hot these days and they’re very much in high demand and they will always in value. Recently a Silver 1995 Coupe (C2) with 82K miles sold on BaT for $82K ($78K plus $4k buyer’s fee).
@joetag4 this is an air cooled porsche so no water pump and this has a timing chain. We pulled the engine cover off and did not see any oil leaks, I included photos and a prior PPI. I do not have any history of an engine rebuild. The clutch is very good and the engine is strong. There is no need for a rebuild.
Any fluid seepage in the engine bay or underneath? History of work on timing belt, water pump, clutch and flywheel? Any engine reseals, or top or lower end rebuilds?
This is one of the best looking and best driving street cars Porsche has ever made. Perfect color. For those asking the C-4 and 4S in my opinion are the ultimate street cars. Fast enough to be fun but not too fast to fully enjoy.

How does the drive compare between a 993 C4 and 993 Carerra? The car is already rear heavy with the motor in the back.. Wonder if folks prefer rear or AWD on the 993
I've got a black and tan 993 C4s, these are great cars!! Whoever wins this beauty is going to love it to death. Great investment vehicle too, your 401K isn't full insured against loss :)
Bid in the amount of $60,000
Today would be a nice day to be driving this car

Welcome to the auction please feel free to ask me any questions or come and this awesome car, but be sure to tag me in the comment. This is a beautiful original paint Porsche that has been well maintained and enjoyed. I have personally drive it over a 100 miles and it is everything you would expect from an air cooled Porsche. Good luck bidders.
This a link to a walk around video

@HODLer yes you are correct. It is a scratch that was touched up. The Auction house will update the description. I apologize it was not in the initial write up. Please view the walk around video to see it. https://youtu.be/h8h09vlj_vY
@HODLer I'm fairly sure it is a scratch.
The pic that shows the scratch/gouge is pic#12 now. Someone shuffled the pics from #1 to #12.
@porsche_dreamer I see that too. Maybe the seller can tell us if that's just a reflection. Black can have such a mirror-like finish. The stylized photos with contrast turned way up flatter the black but may also serve to hide the swirl marks on paint and wear in the leather. Would look quite different in direct sun, I'm sure. Nevertheless nicely presented & overall beautiful condition. GLWTA!
Beautiful car!
Not sure I agree with the listing description of "The only flaws noted to the finish are some stone chips on the front bumper. " Can you clarify whether there is damage to the right fender just behind the headlight? It seems like there is a gouge/line that is fairly significant. I see that in picture #1.
Bid in the amount of $51,250
Thank you look forward to seeing the videos
