Featuring special engine tuning, unique body styling, and carbon-fiber interior accents, the 993 Turbo S was created by Porsche’s Exclusive Department in 1997 as the ultimate 911 Turbo. This Arctic Silver Metallic example is one of only 183 cars delivered to the United States out of 345 produced in total and features a Boxster Red leather interior including special-order grey seats with deviated stitching. Cared for by three owners and thoroughly serviced in preparation for sale, this rare 993 Turbo S is now being offered for auction by its seller out of New Jersey showing just under 17k miles on the odometer.
The unique body styling of the Turbo S includes air intakes integrated into the rear fenders as well as Aerokit II front and rear spoilers, front brake cooling ducts, quad exhaust outlets, and Speed Yellow painted brake calipers. This example comes finished in Arctic Silver Metallic (L92U) and features an optional rear window wiper delete (426). Clear paint protection film has been applied over the front end and the seller notes some small stone chips on the hood and driver’s side rear air intake. The factory 18” hollow-spoke wheels come fitted with model logo center caps and Pirelli P Zero tires dated 2011/2012. Additional images are provided in the gallery along with paint meter readings and a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin is appointed with Boxster Red (MB) full leather upholstery as well as special order grey leather seats with deviated stitching. Carbon fiber trim lines the dashboard, door panels, and instrument surround. The Turbo S also receives special aluminum/carbon fiber shifter and handbrake levers, aluminum-look instrument dials, and Porsche crested headrests. Other factory features include an electric sunroof, cruise control, and leather-covered rear console tray.
The air-cooled 3.6-liter twin-turbocharged flat-six engine comes factory upgraded with larger K24 turbos, an additional oil cooler, and revised tuning for an output of up to 424HP. All four wheels are driven by way of a 6-speed manual transmission. Routine oil changes are said to have been performed throughout the years and a full service was recently completed including an inspection, fuel system flush, brake fluid flush, and oil change.

@stim4u , 12/16/2021, oil service, drain replace fuel, brake flush, checked for leaks , none of note noted, repaired headlight switch and yes, tires are "vintage" at this point although have less then 400 miles on them, they have timed out

@estiles , thanks, I agree, different strokes for different folks indeed! That's what makes PORSCHE unique in how one can "personalize " the car to their own taste, this is certainly an example of this..
@stim4u Guards red is one of my favorite colors, but it is not uncommon or a premium in the market. Plus, the fact that the red car was altered raises questions for me. Different strokes for different folks. I'll keep mine. One of one metallic black all original. But I can see the argument for any of these versions depending on buyer preference.
@estiles how many guards red 993 turbo s renditions are there in the USA or the world? Like 30-40, maybe . If you’re a gaurds red fan and actually drive the car , a little touch up and PPF is great. This car is nice as well, I’ll take her too for a good price . Silver Ext is decent , and interior is controversial but nice … take care
This car is more original, lower miles, and a more unique spec than the two recent 500k sales. I don't know why one would buy the other two for more than this one. Interior is unusual, but that could raise the value as much as lowering it.
As an owner of one of these, I'll say that this one seems less molested than some others that were expensive. If i paid 500k for the last one, I'd pay 550 for this one...

This is probably a one-of-a-kind interior on the 993 Turbo S. For the buyer who likes that look, this is a unique opportunity. Looks like the car is all original, too.
I personally like the all black interior, but I do have to say that on the 993 Turbo S you really get the full impact of all of that leather when the interior is not black. Different strokes for different folks I guess.
