The last of the air-cooled 911 Turbos, the 993 Turbo S was offered by Porsche’s Exclusive Department in 1997 featuring larger turbochargers, revised engine tuning, special body styling, and carbon-fiber interior accents. This Guards Red example was sold new in Illinois and is one of only 183 cars delivered to the United States out of 345 produced in total. It features optional electrically height-adjustable Sport Seats as well as an exclusive leather-covered CD storage compartment. Supported by a long history of dealer service on a clean CARFAX report, this rare 993 Turbo S is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Texas showing approximately 23k miles on the odometer.
This Turbo S sports a traditional Guards Red (L84A) finish and is distinguishable from a standard 993 Turbo by its Aerokit II front and rear spoilers as well as front brake cooling ducts, quad exhaust tips, and 959-style air intakes in the rear quarters. Other special factory features include Speed Yellow painted brake calipers and 18” hollow-spoke wheels with special model logo center caps. The rear quarter panels are believed to have been previously refinished and the seller notes the full exterior has been preserved under clear paint protection film.
The Black leather (VD) interior features special carbon-fiber trim unique to the Turbo S as well as optional Sport Seats and a leather-covered CD storage compartment. Guards Red seatbelts match the painted seat backrests and the footwells are lined with custom Porsche-crested floor mats. The original factory specifications label on the underside of the hood lists the following equipment codes:
The Turbo S received special tuning for its 3.6-liter flat-six engine including a pair of larger K24 turbos, a modified engine management system, and an additional oil cooler. An output of up to 430 HP is sent to all four wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. Acceleration from 0-60 MPH takes place in approximately 4 seconds with a top speed of over 180 MPH. The CARFAX report shows 24 maintenance history records from 2003 up until the most recent service at Porsche North Houston in 2021.
This sale will include a clean title and some documentation.

@estiles ..... This is the 3rd one we have had in the last 3 months , checking on the steering wheel , it looks exactly like the other 2 with the exception of the carbon. The seat belts are factory and the red stitching on the center console also matches the map pockets on the doors, that leads me to believe it is all factory.
@nosubstitute4porsche .... 183 imported to the states
@Thill69 .. i was of the understanding that there were only 180 made or was that for the states?
Love the car, I too hope you get over 500k for it. Out of my range but I LOVE the floor mats. Who did them, would love a set?
Beautiful car, absolutely love it, especially since I have one myself.
Do you have the original steering wheel? Do you know if the seat belts are original to the car?
The car looks nearly original to me. The only things I see that are questions to me are the center caps on the wheels, the steering wheel, the floor mats, and I don't know about that red stitching on the center console, have never seen that before.
Looks great, hope you get over 500k!
@Thill69 I just became a huge FreakFan. 30K to 300K
Will blow past 1M
What a beautiful spec! Only 345 of these incredible cars in existence. This car should break the $600k mark! I wish I had room for it in my garage (and bank account ?)
