This 1997 Porsche 911 Turbo Coupe was sold new in Germany with a Black finish over Nephrite Green Special leather, the X50 Powerkit, and exceptionally rare side air inlets (X79) from the Turbo S. Marking the end of an era for Porsche's air-cooled 911 Turbo, the 993 generation was the first to adopt a twin-turbocharged engine with an all-wheel drive system. Previously cared for by two owners, this highly optioned example was imported to Canada in 2022 and is now being offered for auction with approximately 99k kilometers on the odometer.
This 993 comes finished in Black and showcases exclusive Turbo S side air inlets equipped from the factory as well as red brake calipers and a fixed rear spoiler. It rides on 18” Technology hollow-spoke wheels with colored Porsche crest center caps and new Michelin tires. Other equipment includes headlight washers, integrated fog lights, a rear window wiper, polished exhaust outlets, and an optional raised stop lamp. The front end and leading edge of the rear quart panels are believed to have been refinished, and the seller states a professional paint correction, detail, and dry-ice treatment have been carried out. Additional images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin is appointed with Nephrite Green leather upholstery and includes optional heated seats with lumbar support, instrument dials in aluminum with outer rings in chrome, a carbon fiber/leather steering wheel, leather sun visors with an illuminated vanity passenger-side mirror, an electric sunroof, and door entry guards in stainless steel. An upgraded Porsche Classic head unit with navigation has been added as well.
This 993 equips an air-cooled 3.6-liter flat-six engine featuring twin K16 turbochargers and dual-charge air intercoolers. It has been further enhanced with a factory X50 Powerkit, providing as much as 430 HP to all four wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission with Active Brake Differential (ABD) and a limited-slip differential. Stopping power is provided by red-painted fixed 4-piston aluminum brake calipers paired with 322mm rotors front and rear. The seller states that a recent major service included new brakes, new fluids, drive belts replaced, spark plugs, replaced, and various gaskets and seals replaced.
This sale will include a clean title, owner’s manuals, a toolkit, a spare tire, and an air pump.
The seller would like you to know: “Thanks for visiting our auction of this unicorn 993 Turbo X50. With an eye-watering list of unusual factory equipment on this car, straight from Porsche Exclusive, you are essentially bidding on a 993 Turbo that was factory optioned to be a 993 Turbo S. Factory side scoops, factory Turbo S body kit, factory power kit, and of course, that wild interior. Certainly, a car you will not stumble upon at your local cars and coffee, and we hope you will enjoy driving it as much as we've enjoyed displaying it in our showroom. Good luck!”

@Saulcolt - thank you. A special car, hopefully destined for a great new home today!
Winding down to the final days on our 993 Turbo X50. Undoubtedly a one of a kind spec, and the heaviest option list I’ve ever seen on a 993 Turbo. We’ve spent over $20k bringing this car up to date on service for its next owner (brakes, tires, plugs, belts, seals, PCCM navigation system, dry ice, the list goes on). The car drives tight, doesn’t smoke, doesn’t drip oil on the floor, shifts beautifully, and truly has modern-era Porsche Turbo power. Its insanely fast. Your opportunity to own what is essentially a 993 Turbo S without the ’S’ tax! Best of luck to everyone bidding, I will be here to help answer questions as we close, and will be here to help with worldwide shipping for the new owner.
I have been watching this car for months on the London dealer site. Just a little out of my reach but what a car and what a steal at this price.
Auction sites will only continue to work if there is full transparency.......unfortunately that is not always the case. Sorry that you did not appreciate my "speculation". GLWTA.
@JDCar599 - I can see what you are implying, but the reality is, I suspect the current high bidder is just aware enough to realize no one is buying this car at $65,000. Why waste time with nominal bids? Would appreciate if you would refrain from speculation, and even at 190, we are still deep in great deal territory.
That is an odd bid increase......seems a bit "off".
Bid in the amount of $190,000
As per request from a couple interested bidders, we've just uploaded a cold start video in our showroom after some time sitting, showing no smoke or hesitation on startup. Lifters are noisy/ticky on cold start (can hear in the video) but the sound evens out once the car warms up (see later in the video for warm idle). Starts first try every time and has that fantastic 993 turbo exhaust burble! We also uploaded some additional outdoor photos to try to capture the interior in different lighting.
Additional content has been added to the gallery for this listing.
Bid in the amount of $65,000
Bid in the amount of $60,000
@thegonz - yes, will get those uploaded shortly, for some reason I thought they were already in the gallery!
Do you have any under body & underside pictures? I would like to see the dry ice treatment & the rest of the underside. Thank you.
Bid in the amount of $40,000
Bid in the amount of $34,567
@SofiaLeo - yes, took paint readings yesterday, will upload today
@Jarod964 NICE TURBO!! Can you please post paint meter reading from the whole car. Thank you
Bid in the amount of $10,000
@kuthey - I do not, but the option sticker under the hood shows all the option codes, which can be decoded. I believe 2 previous owners (the older gentleman we bought the car from had it since the late 90s). Only mod that caught my eye was a set of wheel spacers.
Do you have a complete list of the factory options? How many previous owners? Any mods bern done to the vehicle? Thank you.
@Jpsurfer - yes, like most 993/964, small bubble on driver side lower cowl as pictured. This is the only spot on the car. I've owned many cars with similar bubbling, and tends not to worsen as long as you are attentive when drying that area after a car wash. I recommend addressing next time the windshield comes out for replacement...at that point, only a ~$1500 job to repair. I will snap a few extra photos on Monday across the cowl.
Very unique, 1 of 1 993TT for sale!
Looks to be suffering from the notorious windshield rust issue from this generation. It can be seen in picture 54 on the right just below the windshield gasket. Is this the only area like that or are there any others? Would be good to provide some more pics of that area and all the way around the windshield base.
@JDCar599 - London, Ontario. About 2 hours from Toronto, 2 hours from Detroit, 2 hours from Buffalo.
Where in Ontario are you located?
Wow. This is unique.
Welcome to the auction of this one of a kind 993 Turbo. We’ve spared no expense in servicing this car up for its new owner - new brakes, new tires, new plugs, new belts, extensive detailing, and it shows! The car is impressively smooth and refined to drive will retaining that classic air cooled experience, and with the X50 package, this thing is FAST. Speed feels on par with a a 996 Turbo, if not quicker, with truly shocking power delivery. We are happy to help an international buyer to arrange transport/import, and can highlight ballpark costs for any interested party. *THIS VEHICLE IS FULLY US-ADMISSIBLE, and the import process is quite straightforward. Good luck bidding, and don’t hesitate to reach out through the ‘contact seller’ button if you have any questions!
