Now available for auction is this 1997 Porsche 993 Turbo finished in a combination of Guards Red over Cashmere Beige leather. Marking the final iteration of the air-cooled 911 Turbo, this 993 was originally sold from Stevens Creek Porsche in California where it has remained ever since. Retaining all of its factory specifications including several exclusive options while showing just over 38k miles on the odometer, this highly collectible 993 Turbo is now being offered for auction by its seller out of California.
The traditional Guards Red finish is said to be in very good condition throughout, detailed images are provided in the photo gallery along with a clean CARFAX. In comparison with standard 993 offered at the time, this Turbo model features wide fenders, a redesigned front fascia, and a body-colored rear decklid spoiler. Other factory details include exclusive chrome oval exhaust tips, red brake calipers, and 18” Turbo Twist wheels that were mounted with new Pirelli P-Zero Rosso tires in 2018.
Inside, the cabin is appointed with Cashmere Beige leather including leather trim on the dashboard, door panels, and center console. Exclusive factory options include stainless steel door entry guards with model logos and aluminum-look instrument dials with chrome bezel rings. Other features include pleated leather seats, power accessories, a sunroof, air conditioning, cruise control, a 6-disc CD changer, and a Porsche-Becker CR-210 radio that still remains in place. The seller confirms all gauges and accessories to be working properly.
This 993 is equipped with a twin-turbocharged and intercooled 3.6L flat-six engine that generates 408 HP and 398 lb.-ft of torque. Power is distributed among all four wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Recent service carried out within the last year is said to include a rebuilt turbocharger and an oil change. There are no outstanding maintenance items reported and the seller describes this 993 to be in excellent mechanical order for its new owner.
This sale will include a toolkit, spare tire, and a clean title. An excellent choice for collectors and enthusiasts alike, this 38k-mile 993 Turbo is not to be overlooked.

@BlueTTop or maybe it has an issue ..price is definitely not today's market
this auction went fast but slow, only in case it did not meet the reserve, Seller, you can contact me for further negotiation.
I was expecting a bit more excitement to finish. The lack of that scared me in a way around placing my own bid. Oh well...
Looks to have appreciated by $250 in 13 months.
Sold for $135,250
I figured this example would fetch a lot more than 135k
Bid in the amount of $135,250
If I didn't already have two 993 turbos I would be interested in this one too. The 993s are awesome to drive because you feel connected to the road. And they keep climbing in value -the new listings for low miles 993 turbos are over $200k now.
@Dasael sorry my friend but Turbo S will be now in the range of 400k thru 500k easily
@JSeebur thanks James!
@Lermitpg I could agree with you only if there was an “S” on the rear, and of course everything else that comes with it.
@Dasael I'm sorry but I am traveling for work this week so I will be unable to take paint meter readings. The paint is in great shape and has been garage kept for its entire life with the current owner.
Great car and not easy to find in red plus tan interior. Im not sure the final price but think will be over 250k easily. Similar car 96 Red/black interior less mile are in 249k.

@Dasael The vehicle was listed on BAT last year, however after the auction ended we were unable to close with that buyer. The vehicle is still with the same owner since that listing. This past year the vehicle has been to a Porsche specialist and completely tuned up as you have seen from the service records. It is currently in really great condition and ready to be enjoyed. I've been doing my best to get back to all of you and thank you everyone for your interest!
@speedfreak31 oh, you are right, It actually was last year. Also, it draws my atention why a year after one year the current owner has decided to flip it, hopefulky he would answer.
@Dasael I believe it was sold in Feb 2020 on BAT, not last month but a year ago last month. Would be interested to know why the seller is "flipping" it after a year. Any work done during that time? bringatrailer.com/listing/1997-porsche-911-turbo-20/
@JSeebur James, can you share with us the. Current Odometer reading on this car?
Thanks

@PCARMARKET Nice, Thanks alot!
@Dasael Additional photos as well as a new video have been added to the listing page
Can you share actual pictures, by this I mean, other than the ones posted by the previous seller when this car was sold at Bringatrailer.com last month ?
Thanks.
Bid in the amount of $55,000
Are those the original wheels and original finish? Didn’t expect to see them in that condition with the reported mileage.
@JSeebur is it possible to share a video of the car being driven?
The pictures you have provided are very helpful, nicely done!
@BlueTTop Hello and thanks for your interest!
The extent of the damage was just the frunk carpet. Once the carpet was discovered the vehicle was inspected by a specialized porsche mechanic. He looked through the vehicle and found no evidence of further damage or further signs of rodents.
I believe that wire is a temporary audio chord that was connected to the radio. It has been since removed.
Best,
@JSeebur thanks James, I really love this car!
Wow, this is a beautiful car, best air cooled in my opinion. I am very interested to see where this goes!
@jcampisi Hello, what copies of services I have I am working on getting uploaded to the site now. I will also collect some photos of the undercarriage and get them uploaded as well. The vehicle does not have any accident history or paintwork done.
Thanks,
Appears to be rodent damage in the frunk. Is there more than just the carpet damage? Were nests found and removed? Any damage to wiring or history of electrical problems?
Also, what are the non-OE wires hanging down below the glove box?
Thanks
do you have copies of services performed that could be uploaded? photos of the undercarriage? any accidents or paintwork done? thank you
@Tugboat997 Hello @Tugboat997,
