One of only 462 examples sold in the United States for the model year, this 1996 Porsche 993 Carrera Targa comes finished in Guards Red over a Black leather interior, optioned with a limited-slip differential and 6-speed manual transmission. This 1996 example is said to have spent the first 9k miles with its first owner and has been under the care of the second owner ever since. Now showing approximately 69k miles on the odometer, this rare 993 Targa is being offered for auction out of California.
This example comes finished in Guards Red and rides on a set of Porsche 996 18" Carrera wheels with new Pirelli P Zero Rosso tires. The roof system includes a tinted glass panel that slides beneath the rear window as well as a glass wind defector and electrically operated sunshade. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The black interior is appointed with a full power-operated driver’s seat, cruise control, power side mirrors and windows, remote central locking, a Becker Porsche CR-210 cassette radio, climate control, and a high-capacity air conditioning system including defroster vents for the rear quarter windows.
This 993 is equipped with a 3.6-liter flat-six engine sending up to 282 HP to the rear wheels by way of a 6-speed manual transmission paired with an optional limited-slip and automatic braking differential. A recent service totaling over $5k included the installation of a new clutch and the seller has provided a collection of maintenance records for reference in the gallery.
This sale will include maintenance records, owner’s manuals, the original window sticker, and a clean title.

@markd gotcha. Thanks for clarification. Beautiful car. One last question. Looks like driver door armrest may be broken?
No idea about the shocks no work order. Our inspection didn't note any problems. Looks like PCAR meant to say 39k miles, first owner.
The first owner had the Porsche til 38000 miles correct
Tires are new
Couple of questions and I apologize if they were answered somewhere that I missed. Tire condition and age? Shocks and struts look after market. When were they replaced? Also, the add says the first owner put 9k miles on the car before selling but Carfax shows 38k miles by the first owner.

Picture was taken while at the repair shop getting major service. I'll have a look at it tomorrow. Remember we just had a 5,400 service done.
What's going on in picture #60? #64 with the brace not connected?
Please help explain.
Thank you
