This 1997 Porsche 993 Carrera Coupe is finished in Pastel Yellow over a Black leather interior and equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission paired with its air-cooled 3.6-liter flat-six. The car was highly optioned from the factory with a limited-slip and Automatic Braking Differential (ABD), Sport Suspension, the Motor Sound Package, electric Sport Seats, aluminum instrument dials, and an aluminum trimmed gear knob and handbrake lever. This 993 was purchased by the current owner in Washington in 2007 and relocated to Florida in 2016 where it is now being offered for auction with approximately 49k miles showing on the odometer.
This Carrera Coupe came factory-finished Pastel Yellow (L12M) an uncommon paint color introduced for the 1997 model year. Equipment includes headlamp washers, Turbo S-style fog light with integrated brake ducts, power-adjustable and heated mirrors, an electric sunroof, a speed-activated rear spoiler, black Porsche-branded brake calipers, and 18” 911 Turbo-look wheels with colored Porsche crest center caps. The car rides on Bridgestone Potenza RE-11 tires from 2014. The CARFAX report shows damage to the right side in 2001, and the seller notes the passenger front fender, door, and rear quarter panel were previously refinished. Some small cosmetic imperfections are noted around the exterior including visible clear coat edges around the passenger-side headlamp. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.
The Black leather interior features optional power-adjustable Sport Seats, aluminum instrument dials, and aluminum trim inlays for the shifter and handbrake lever. Accessories include a four-spoke leather steering wheel, automatic climate control, cruise control, a central locking system, a Porsche CDR-210 stereo, black carpet floor mats with red Porsche lettering, and an aftermarket accelerator pedal cover. The cabin is said to be in excellent condition with all gauges and accessories working properly.
An air-cooled 3.6-liter flat-six engine delivers up to 282 HP to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission with an optional limited-slip and Automatic Braking Differential (ABD). The car was factory-optioned with Sport Suspension (030) and the Motor Sound Package. The seller notes routine oil changes have been kept up to date. The last major service was completed in 2016 at 45,500 miles including new valve cover gaskets, distributor caps and rotors, spark plugs, a blower motor resistor, and a transmission fluid change. The brake pads were replaced in 2014 at 39,100 miles.
This sale will include three keys with remote fobs, a spare tire and inflator, a car cover, a battery charger, and a clean title.

@Dinoguy Please send me pictures evidencing this car's track use so I may post them. Thanks, Mike
@uscarrera I agree with your comments re: Track use. Mike
I personally looked at this car this morning on my lift at my home. I was very impressed at how original this 993 is as it shows to be a solid example both mechanically and cosmetically. The repairs from the reported accident appear to have been professionally done, are is great current condition and most importantly, all paint color is consistent. Having owned several 993s, much to my surprise, all underpanel covers are present but were remove to further inspect the underside. Not a single oil leak was visible on the engine or transmission, and the associated underpanel covers. The suspension and brakes both appear to be in great condition. No indication of track use was visible on the undercarriage. As a 20+ DE participant and 12+ year certified PCA, NASA, Chin & PBOC instructor, I have never seen this car at Sebring. Finally, I drove this 993 a bit and found it to drive consistent with the several 993's I have owned in the past. Thanks, Mike

@dinoguy if you really have photos of this car at the track please hit contact seller and send me the photos. I have worked in the car industry my entire life and I can confirm as this car is with me currently that there is absolutely no paint mis match. Again watch the you tube walk around video and see for yourself. Thanks
Good luck to all bidders I’m sure the next owner will love it if they don’t mind paint being a few shades off
I have a few photos of this car on the track but it won’t let me post photos in the comment section
@W210_E30 it was absolutely tracked I seen it out on the track multiple times. Maybe the owner fixed the oil leak by now if so can you please show us the work that was done. Also with the paint being a few shades I have owned a paint and body shop for over 30 years and I have seen this car in person many times. The paint is absolutely off by a few shades and any Porsche enthusiast will spot it in a second. Again it’s still a wonderful car but all bidders should know the paint and oil issues
@Dinoguy there is no mis matched paint. My walk around video clearly shows the paint in direct sunlight from both sides. It shows I’m clearly being honest in all details. Also I don’t think this car was tracked and as someone else mentioned they have track purpose cars for that.
@Fordgt I do not see any oil leaks, not sure what the comment before is about. This car is getting a pre purchase inspection tomorrow and I will post it for all to see.
Does it in fact leak oil?
I am confused picture 226 seems to be the roof behind the sunroof panel, what rocker support is there? I don’t believe the woman who owned this car ever tracked it at least not at Sebring, she raced with us in PCA and HSR and in both organizations she ran a 944 and a couple of times a 996 but never the yellow 993. I believe the reading of 53.8 mils is an error seller should do that one again to be sure of that reading.
Paint meter readings of 53.8 is not good! I know the seller and his wife. It was his wife’s car who tracked it regularly. Nice car overall but the damage and repairs are a concern. I seen this car in person back in 2022 it truly is beautiful but it did leak oil and in person you can notice where the paint doesn’t quite match.
Photo 226 showing an extreme amount of bondo on the reading, bummer because it’s the rocker support, wish they had did a better job repairing that area.
Paint meter readings have been uploaded.

I stated in the listing which panels have paint work. The repair was in 2001 when the car was fairly new so the repair was done properly. I will take paint meter readings myself and share later this evening. I believe the accident was very minor, as shown the passenger door jamb looks perfect. I also have a pre purchase inspection scheduled this weekend and will share the findings. There has been no issues with this car since the accident 24 years ago. Thanks
Hi Everyone, I did see this car in person few weeks ago and I put my paint meter to the bottom right side I discovered so much bondo it was CRAZY.. BUYER BEWRE .

This car left the factory with 17" Cup II wheels (indicated as code 398 in images 144 and 191) but has now 18" Technology hollow-spoke wheels, NOT just "Turbo-look" wheels (solid-spoke variety) as stated in the description. Could this be corrected? GLWA
