Now up for auction is this 1997 Porsche 993 Carrera 4S finished in Black over a black leather interior. Sharing its wide bodywork and an all-wheel-drive system with the 911 Turbo, the Carrera 4S is one of the rarer and more sought-after models of the 993 generation. This 1997 example was sold new in California where it reportedly spent most of its life under the care of the same family while being serviced through Beverly Hills Porsche. Having made its way to Missouri in 2020 where recommended service was completed by Porsche Springfield, this 993 is now being offered for auction with approximately 87k miles on the odometer.
This 993 comes finished in nonmetallic Black and sports wide fenders, Turbo-style bumpers, and a set of factory 18” Turbo-Look wheels in a custom chrome finish. New HID headlights have been equipped and some touch-ups are noted on the hood and front bumper as well as a few other imperfections throughout the exterior. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a CARFAX showing damage reported to the front end in 2003. The factory wheels come fitted with colored Porsche crest center caps and a set of Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 4 tires dated from 2021 in front and 2020 in the rear.
The cabin is trimmed in black leather and features power-operated front seats, a sunroof, and an original Porsche CR-210 radio. Custom black carpet floor mats have been added to the footwells and the seller reports the sunroof motor, felt, and rear rail to have been replaced in September of 2019. The steering wheel is covered under a leather wrap and a new steering column switch is said to have been recently installed. Some signs of wear are present on the driver seat and the outer hinge cover is cracked.
Power comes from an air-cooled 3.6L flat-six Varioram engine paired with a 6-speed manual transmission. As much as 282 HP and 250 lb.-ft of torque are distributed to all four wheels while stopping power is handled by red-painted four-piston fixed brakes derived from the 911 Turbo. The car was maintained by Beverly Hills Porsche for much of its life including a major 40k-mile service in 2019 at 82,799 miles. The front brake pads, rotors, and engine V-belts were replaced in 2019 and the seller reports recommended service to have been completed by Porsche Springfield of Missouri in February of 2021. Records are said to be available dating as far back as 2003.
This sale will include a set of two keys and four remote fobs, the original owner's manuals, service records, and a clean title. Do not miss your chance to get behind the wheel of this increasingly sought-after 993 Carrera 4S.

@sportscarguy3- No arguments from me, paid a lot more for my 98 with 24k miles!
@Archer1 PS The 1996 993 TT I sold about a year ago had 38 K miles ( still regret selling it ! )
And the 1987 930 Turbo I just bought a short while back has 39 K
Looking forward to getting another 993 one of these days...
Enjoy that good looking C 4S
@Archer1 Just saying 85 k are substantial miles , not good or bad, driven and enjoyed !
If you watch Pcar or BaT you know that 85 K is a lot of miles
Many, most, 993's are selling with half that
Anyway, it's all good
Seller is happy ( aka reserve met )
Buyer is happy ( Nice 993 that can be driven and enjoyed ! )
I wouldn't exactly call it high mileage for a 25 years old car with around 90k on the clock, about 3,500 miles a year on average and the new owner can drive and enjoy her without guilt!
Sold for $115,000
Nice little, high mileage, 993 !
Close to me here in Santa Rosa too !
Congratulations buyer and seller
( about $ 50K more than what it should have sold for 8 to 15 months ago but that's the crazy 993 market these days ! )
Enjoy !!

Looks like the speedo gear broke sometime after it passed smog in September 2007. It is almost certain that the car did more than the 2 miles reported between May 2009 and July 2013, especially since records show it bouncing between emissions testing in LA and Sherman Oaks and service in Beverly Hills. It's probably safe to assume there's some mileage missing from the odometer here. Not a ton, but certainly more than none.

@Bored Thanks for the question.
"Vehicle inspected after an accident or other incident"
-Damage to front
I don't know what damage was inspected in 2003 or where it was inspected. With no police report it seems likely that it was very minor and possibly refinished at that time.
