Equipped with a 3.6-liter flat-six engine mated to a 6-speed manual transmission, this 1997 Porsche 993 Carrera Coupe represents the final generation of the air-cooled 911. It comes finished in Arctic Silver Metallic over a Midnight Blue interior and features an optional limited-slip differential, the Hi-Fi Sound Package, and a full power driver’s seat. This 993 was originally specified with equipment for the U.S. market and was sold new in Massachusetts before making its way to Ontario in 2006. Showing approximately 57k miles on the odometer, this beautifully appointed 993 is now being offered for auction out of Vancouver, Canada.
This 993 is finished in Arctic Silver Metallic and rides on 18” 911 Turbo-look wheels with colored Porsche crest center caps. Other equipment includes a speed-activated rear spoiler, gloss black brake calipers with white Porsche script, headlight washers, integrated front fog lamps, dual exhaust outlets, and clear stone guard decals over the rear quarter panels. The seller notes one small ding on the driver’s door, and the full front end was refinished and blended into the door panels following damage reported in 2009, detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a CARFAX report and corresponding repair invoice.
Inside, the driver is greeted by a Midnight Blue partial leather interior featuring stainless steel Carrera script door sills and an original Porsche CDR-220 stereo. Other equipment includes a full power driver’s seat, cruise control, climate control, an electric sunroof, power windows and mirrors, and the Hi-Fi Sound package.
Producing up to 282 HP, the air-cooled 3.6-liter flat-six engine drives the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission and an optional limited-slip differential. The seller states there are no outstanding maintenance items and a comprehensive binder of service records accompanies the sale.
This sale will include the original owner’s manuals, two keys, service records, a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, and a clean title.

Tires of 6 years old (and in any event of more than 10 years old) should be changed, irrespective of the amount of tread left.
Especially for a car like this.

@Turbo911s Yes, there is minor sweating.
@snwmble The mileage is exactly what is stated, I have sent you all the records showing consistency in odometer reading up until now. The body, interior and engine etc. shows all of this to be true.
what would you estimate the true mileage to be in either kilometers or miles, given the mileage was turned back incorrectly at the border years ago. The 57K can't be the correct mileage....
Bid in the amount of $57,500
Is there oil leaks or sweating?
@Lombard_RAC Vehicle was not used much in 2022, other than an oil/Filter change etc. not much else has happened on this car in 2022.

@snwmble No problem, there is no CEL on or any other warning lights on the dash.
Thanks for sending the documents @ssein! Much appreciated. Are there any Check engine lights on the car currently? Scrolling through the documents, i noticed the prior owner was chasing a CEL issue stemming from misfires in all cylinders. From what you know, has this been fully addressed?
@snwmble please send me a direct msg with your email.
Thank you
@ssein would you be able to email me those documents as well? Thank you!

@mb36cg Thank you, I can email you everything we have on this car in a PDF if you like since we cannot upload PDF files here and there is a lot of records and paperwork on this car. We would be able to put you in touch with a couple custom brokers that we deal with and they will be able to exactly answer all the importation fees and process.
Bid in the amount of $25,250
If you have state documentation of original Mass. ownership/registration, my understanding is it can be re-imported without additional 2.5% duty. Beautiful 993, GLWS!

where can I view this car?
@Turbo911s If you or any other member of PCarmarket wishes to review all the service records for the vehicle, please send me a direct msg providing your email address. I will gladly send a PDF of all records, which also shows consistency in the odometer reading concerns. Reason being, there are too many pages for me to upload as JPEG files. I am not able to upload a PDF file on here.
I will prepare the cold start video along with the other pictures you requested

@Turbo911s I got an approx quote for importing the vehicle into the US, there will be a $250 Broker Fee, 2.5% duty based on purchase price, 0.003464% MPF tax, $495 Bond fee. It will take about
2-4 days for the export process. As for shipping, its all depends on where abouts you are, if you want it in an enclosed or open carrier, door to door service or not etc. We can put you in touch with a few shipping companies that we dealt with in the past and can provide the contact number for the custom brokers we use so you can get exactly get all the information you need.
@UpNorthMN I will get the info you need and will upload it, no problem.
Could you please share details on the major maintenance items that you have records of over the past 20k miles or so? Also, could you tell us if the doors close smoothly or is there any "clicking" sound when opened and closed? Can you share pictures of the engine without the tray in place? Finally, a cold start video would be very helpful. Thanks!
How much does it cost to import a car from Canada to the US? Southern California?
@ssein Thank you for the clarification!
@Turbo911s @vlad Sometimes when doing miles to km's conversions or vise versa, unfortunately Carfax or inspection shops do not enter the correct odometer reading or do not pay attention whether the car is in km's or miles. We do have all have all the service records, we will go through all of them and see why there is a discrepancy.
Importation to the US is pretty straight forward, we would put the buyer in touch with Canadian custom brokers that will handle all the exportation and importation into the US. We would personally drop off the car at the brokers secured facility for it to be processed to enter the US and from there a US shipping company would ship the car to the buyers location/State.
How does importation into the US work? What happened with the odometer in 2006?
@Turbo911s Hi @Turbo911s I included the detailed repair sheet below, all the work was done by Pfaff Autoworks. The total amount ($5619.47) that you see is in Canadian dollars which includes parts, labor and taxes.
Hello Pcarmarket community, thanks for all the interest in our car. We are a dealership serving British Columbia specialty car market for the last 24 years. We are more than happy to answer all your questions and assist the final buyer with export process.
Any ideas what the damaged involved in 2009?
Beauty. I'd be curious to know what it takes to import a car from CAN to the US. Does anyone here have experience with this?
@seller Was the odometer rolled back in 2006?
