One of the rarest and most collectible 993 models, the rear-wheel-drive Carrera S debuted in 1997. With limited production, a wide Turbo body, and rear-wheel-drive configuration, this 1997 C2S is finished in the rare shade of Ocean Blue Metallic over Black leather. Acquired by the seller from a Belgian collector, where it was stored in a garage for approximately six years, this sought-after 911 shows fewer than 52k miles and is now being offered for auction out of Connecticut.
Specified from the factory in the seldom-seen shade of Ocean Blue Metallic, this 993 Carrera S features the widened fenders of the Turbo model and a distinctive split-grille rear decklid. It rides on coveted 18” factory hollow-spoke Technology wheels with Bridgestone Potenza tires. The seller adds that European-market specification bumpers were fitted under prior ownership. Some areas of paintwork were performed by J&B Body Works in Mount Vernon, New York, and a ceramic coating was applied by E-magtronic in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Detailed images are provided in the photo gallery along with paint meter readings and a clean CARFAX report.
Inside, the driver is situated within a Black leather interior featuring 8-way power-operated front seats. The equipment includes a sunroof, a four-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel, automatic speed control, power windows, and a Becker Porsche CR-210 cassette radio. A translated list of specifications, as provided in the gallery, is shown below:
Marking the final iteration of the air-cooled 911, this 993 is equipped with a naturally aspirated 3.6-liter flat-six engine factory rated at 282 HP and 250 lb.-ft of torque. The rear wheels are driven by a 6-speed manual transmission, allowing for acceleration from 0-60 MPH in approximately 5 seconds. No outstanding maintenance items have been reported, and service is said to have been performed by E-Magtronic under the current ownership.
This sale will include a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “Very happy with the car. I have a few 993's and looking to replace this with a Turbo.”

Congratulations John Hazzard!!! Love this color. The 993 C2S is the only vehicle lacking from my 993 collection. Was wanting to wait a year or two before adding it anyhow. Enjoy!!! These are one of the best 993's no question about it.

Do you have any maintenance records? Engine ever been resealed? Clutch, battery and how do the door seals look? I noticed that the paint readings on the cowl to be high. Was it painted to address the common issue of rust forming under the windshield seals?
Beautiful color and car. Thank you.
