One of the rarest and most sought-after variants of the final air-cooled Porsche 911, the 993 Carrera S combines wide bodywork from the 911 Turbo with a traditional naturally aspirated flat-six engine sending power to the rear wheels. This 1997 example is finished in Ocean Blue Metallic over Black leather and has been customized with Classic 9 Alcantara interior upholstery, a thickened 996 three-spoke steering wheel, re-padded Sport Seats, Turbo S-style fog light inserts, 996 Turbo hollow spoke wheels, a Fabspeed exhaust, an RS short shifter, a strut tower brace, and a Steve Wong performance chip. Having been with its fifth owner for the past two years, this 993 C2S is now being offered for auction out of Pennsylvania with approximately 60k miles showing on the odometer.

Sharing its wide fenders and bumpers with the contemporary 911 Turbo, the 993 C2S is distinguished by a unique split grille rear decklid. This example is finished in Ocean Blue Metallic and rides on 18” 996 Turbo hollow spoke wheels in dark silver. The car has been modified with clear front corner lenses, Turbo S-style fog light inserts, a black hood crest, and polished Fabspeed exhaust tips. Other equipment includes power mirrors, an electric sunroof, a speed-activated rear spoiler, and black Porsche-branded brake calipers. The Continental tires were mounted in 2022 and clear paint protection film is applied over the front end and rear stone guard areas. The CARFAX report shows minor damage in 2019 which is said to have occurred in the owner’s garage and resulted in refinishing the front end. The seller adds that some slight scratches can be seen under the front bumper. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.

The Black interior has been customized with leather and Alcantara RS-style door panels from Classic 9 along with a matching dashboard, center console, rear bulkhead, and rear side panels. Re-padded power Sport Seats have been installed in front along with a thickened three-spoke 996 leather steering wheel. The rear seats have been removed and the center console has been painted to match the exterior. Other accessories include power windows, a remote central locking system, automatic climate control, cruise control, a magnetic phone holder, and a Continental Bluetooth head unit with upgraded Kenwood speakers.

An air-cooled 3.6-liter flat-six engine delivers up to 282 HP to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transaxle. The car was factory optioned with the Motor Sound Package and has been modified with a Fabspeed exhaust, a Steve Wong performance chip, H&R coilovers, a front strut tower brace, and an RS short shifter. The seller indicates there are no outstanding service items.

This sale will include owner’s manuals, a toolkit, a spare tire, an air pump, the original door cards, and a clean title.

The seller would like you to know: “An amazing car in an amazing color.”

Beautiful car. The write-up mentions "sport seats"... Are they sport seats?

@c365 Yes, they were repainted to a grey color selected by the owner from a paint chart. There is no name to the color.

  • c365 3 months, 2 weeksago

The wheels are described as '996 Turbo hollow spoke wheels' however they appear to have been repainted in a non-factory color and not original to the 996 Turbo. Please confirm this to be the case as well as stating the 'new' color?

    Thankyou.

@Cozad1955 Fabspeed is the muffler only. Header/heater box/ exhaust manifolds are stock 993. The valve guides have not been replaced during current owners tenure. No check engine lights for secondary air intake or otherwise

  • Cozad1955 (registered bidder) 3 months, 2 weeksago

would like to know if the Fabspeed exhaust includes replacement of the headers/exhaust manifold. Also , have the valve guides been replaced and/or have you had a check engine light related to the secondary air intake? Thanks.

I know the car, I know the owner…if you’re looking for a nice 993 that has been tastefully modified, this is the one! Car is flawless. Former and current owner did this car right. Surprised that it has a ding from CarFax because the paint is a 10/10.
    Bid with confidence.

I've seen this car in person many times. Great car in a great color.

  • tkasser (seller) 3 months, 2 weeksago

@SpeedyE30 A/C is cold. It wasn't an accident. Damage happened inside a previous owners garage. The hood was repainted and the front fenders were painted to eliminate stone chips. It was then covered with PPF. There are no signs of paintwork and as you can see, no color differences.

  • SpeedyE30 (registered bidder) 3 months, 2 weeksago

Great 993 - does the ac blows cold? Any paint work completed as part of the accident?

    Thanks in advance!

  • tkasser (seller) 3 months, 2 weeksago

@1234 Yes the orginal door panels are included. I do not have any of the other original items.
Unfortantly, I don't have service records from previous owners.

As for the CA Smog, I can't answer that with 100% certainty, however all of the original emission controls devices are in place and it passes Pennsylvania emission inspections.

Hi Everyone and welcome to the auction of this very special 993 C2S. I am available for the duration of the auction to show the car in person. PPI's are also welcomed if they can be accommodated at a shop near us during the auction.

  • 1234 3 months, 2 weeksago

The original door panels are shown in the gallery, are they included in the sale? Also, are all other OEM removed items included in the sale ie: steering wheel, rear seats, suspensions components and exhaust?

    Service records available?

    Will this pass CA smog?

Hi! Cool car, and it seems you or a prior owner put a lot of work into refitting the interior. Can I ask, do the doors release by pulling on those loops in the door card?
