We are pleased to present this 1997 993 Carrera Coupe 6-speed finished in classic Guards Red over a black leather interior. Representing the final generation of the air-cooled 911, the 993 remains one of the most historically significant and desirable Porsche models to date. Having been purchased by the current owner in 2018 with the original intent of transforming it into an RSR clone, this 993 is outfitted with some exciting performance upgrades and custom modifications making it a truly unique build. Now showing approximately 74k miles on the odometer, this stunning 993 Carrera is being offered for auction in great overall condition by its seller in Arizona.
The Guards Red finish on this Carrera is showing to be in excellent condition with a professional respray of the drivers side fender. Detailed images highlighting the condition of the paint and body are provided in the photo gallery.
Exterior features include a custom ducktail rear decklid, Turbo-style front bumper and genuine 17” Cup Wheels which come wrapped in Bridgestone Potenza RS670 Sport tires.
This 993 is appointed in a black leather interior featuring a sunroof, power adjustable seats, and a factory rear seat delete. Modifications consist of RS style door panels, red floor mats, a color-matched roll bar and an updated Pioneer stereo with USB and Bluetooth connectivity. This interior is said to remain in great condition with the only noteworthy flaw being a few missing or cracked hinge pieces. All gauges, electrical components and accessories are reported to be fully functional. Showing to be nicely presented inside and out, this Carrera is waiting to be enjoyed by its next owner.
This 993 carries an air-cooled 3.6L flat-six engine that is rated at approximately 282 HP. Power is sent to the rear wheels by way of a crisp 6-speed manual transmission making for a pure and connected driving experience. A short-shifter kit speeds up gear changes while top-of-the line Bilstein coilovers liven up the ride and enhance this car’s aggressive stance. Having added only 300 miles since purchasing the car back in December of 2018, an oil change was performed in September of 2019 by Beck’s European in Scottsdale, AZ. The seller notes that the vehicle's engine is in exceptional running condition with only a sporadic and very minor oil leak.
The sale of this unique 993 Carrera will include original books and documentation, tool kit, one key, service records, and a clean Carfax report. The car is accompanied by a clear Montana title. Offering enhanced styling coupled with a classic air-cooled feel, this 993 is not to be overlooked.

@chanson2005 Thanks! Ducktail looks like a quality piece! Very nice.
New documents and photos have been added to the listing.
@chanson2005 BTW healthy 993 engines should show in the range of 170-185 in my experience... serious issues when a cylinder showing under 100.
@Fortun3 I don't have service records from prior to my ownership. I'm sending the PPI to PCARMARKET for upload, in the meantime compression numbers by cylinders:
1 - 174
2 - 173
3 - 173
4 - 170
5 - 169
6 - 173
@BlueTTop Ducktail, and underbody photos have been sent to PCARMARKET for upload.

Hi, yes I was asking if you service and repair records from the previous owners and also if you had the PPI that was done from Gaudin Porsche last year. Can you upload the PPI if this is available.
@chanson2005 Yes. Underside of ducktail and bottom of engine please.
@ Han Wong - your contact info is blocked out from your inquiry. Please address any questions on this comment page and I'll be happy to answer.
@BlueTTop yes to clarify you want to see the underside of the ducktail lid? Also the underside of the engine? I have it on a lift in my garage so anything else specific let me know..
@DRCzech I believe it impedes the track, I can't speak to how much because it was installed when I acquired the car. For reference I'm 6'4" and I'm comfortable so I don't believe its limited much. I've also considered removing the cage, it's bolted not welded in for safety on a street car in the event of a collision.
Does the roll bar interfere with seat position? Asking as I am 6'5" and with previous 993 models I have owned I need all the room I can get! Thanks.
Can we get more pictures including bottom of engine and inside/underneath the ducktail?
The broken check strap on driver door must drive you nuts every time you open and close the door. This known weak spot requires the door to be removed for proper repair. Also no surprise the took kit is not complete based on 9 owners.

I do not have any of the OEM parts, the car comes as you see it. The leak is around the timing chain gaskets, and as it's been described to me its more nuisance and common than needing immediate attention you just get the occasional drip. There's no smoke and the car runs and drives great.
Beautiful 993. Does it come with any stock parts - ie front bumper, rear deck lid and door panels? Also do you know where the oil leak is coming from?
