Now available for auction is this 1997 Porsche 993 Carrera Cabriolet finished in Black over a Cashmere Beige interior. Representing the final iteration of Porsche’s air-cooled 911, this Carrera is equipped with a 3.6L flat-six Varioram engine paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox. This 993 was purchased new in Florida where it would spend the next 22 years with its original owner before being acquired by the seller in 2019. It came factory optioned with supple leather front and rear seats, the Motor Sound Package, and an Exclusive shift knob and handbrake lever in aluminum. Showing just over 17k miles on the odometer, this 993 Cabriolet is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Pennsylvania.
This 993 is finished in Black with a well-presented black power-retractable soft top and features an automatically deployed rear spoiler, “basket handle” third brake light, and aftermarket front splitters. Under the current ownership, this 993 is said to have always been stored in a climate-controlled garage and started regularly for mechanical exercise. Some minor scratches are noted throughout the exterior and the CARFAX report shows damage to have occurred to the front driver side of the vehicle in 1997. The front bumper cover is said to have been repaired and refinished as a result, and a collision inspection was conducted in 2018 which deemed the damage to have been “very minor”. This 993 currently rides on aftermarket 18” Speedline-style three-piece wheels, and the original 17” Cup 2 wheels are said to accompany the sale fitted with optional colored Porsche center crests and Continental tires.
Inside, you will find a well-kept Cashmere Beige interior with optional supple leather front and rear seats as well as an Exclusive shift knob and handbrake lever in aluminum. Other factory features include 8-way power-adjustable front seats, a sound system, cruise control, a 6-disc CD changer, and Nokia Digital Sound Processing. The original Porsche CR-210 radio has been retained and the seller reports the driver-side window switch to be loose.
The air-cooled 3.6 L flat-six Varioram engine produces up to 282 HP, which is fed to the rear wheels through a desirable 6-speed manual gearbox. The optional Motor Sound Package includes louder mufflers and a more resonant airbox for increased sound. The CARFAX report highlights several services dating as far back as 2004, and the seller notes that there are currently no outstanding maintenance items or issues apart from a slight exhaust rattle.

@draab29 Front bumper cover was damaged and repaired.
Damaged was limited to the plastic bumper cover only.
Please review the 3 page inspection report in the picture gallery citing extremely minor damage.
There was no paintwork to hood, feeders, etc... Bumper cover is now in near perfect condition with no rock chips or road rash.

@Terra I am not sure of the width but you are correct that the 18" Speedlines do protrude 0.5" from the fender. I suspect they were originally built for a wider body model. The 17" OEM wheels are included and can be swapped prior to shipping.
Scott - what are the widths of the Speedlines as they appear to protrude beyond the body line?

It has 17k original miles and all original paint with the exception of the front bumper cover and splitters which have been repainted and look new with no road rash or rock chips.
