Restored under previous ownership, this 1997 Land Rover Defender 130 300TDi includes white paint, new vinyl seats, a suspension leveling kit, 35” BFGoodrich KM2 tires, a Britpart steering stabilizer, Terrafirma heavy-duty steering arms, LED lighting, a brush guard with a winch, and an intake snorkel. The drivetrain was overhauled with a new differential and transmission synchros in 2022 and the truck recently received a steering box replacement.  Previously listed on PCARMARKET, this Defender 130 is being offered at auction by its seller out of Florida.

The exterior is finished in white with a gloss black roof, fender flares, and a front brush guard. Other equipment includes a 65” cargo bed, an LED light bar, a front winch, a tubular rear bumper, upgraded LED headlights, a snorkel, a trailer hitch, and LED tail lights. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report. The 15” gloss black steel wheels are mounted with BFGoodrich KM2 mud terrain tires from 2013.

The interior features two front seats and a split-folding rear bench reupholstered in grey vinyl. Amenities include rubberized flooring, a center storage compartment, a two-spoke steering wheel, an aftermarket Racetronix coolant temperature gauge, a 12v power outlet, and a grey fabric headliner.

This Defender 130 is powered by a 300TDi 2.5L turbodiesel inline four-cylinder engine which was factory rated at 111 HP and 195 lb.-ft of torque. All four wheels are driven by an R380 5-speed manual transmission and dual-range transfer case. The suspension has been fitted with an aftermarket leveling kit, a Britpart steering stabilizer, and Terrafirma heavy-duty steering arms. The seller also reports an upgraded intercooler was installed during the restoration. Service in 2022 included a new rear differential, front and rear brakes, transmission synchros, and an oil change. In 2024, the steering box and shaft assembly were replaced along with the power steering fluid.

This sale will include a clean title and some service documentation.

Also is there a driving video?

  • EuroStable (seller) 7 months, 2 weeksago

@Craignyc According to the previous owner restoration was done around 2014. The rear hitch was an aftermarket piece and they had welded it with 2 different pieces of metal so it looks lopsided. But no hits in the rear. Let me get you some better pics of it.

Welcome to our auction!! We look forward to seeing this go to a good home soon! Make sure to be the highest bidder!

When was the restoration done? Based on the amount of rust it would seem to be a long time ago. Also what happened to the rear bumper and hitch mount, they are not level and seems to indicate a light hit. Can you post more detailed pictures of the hitch and rear bumper. Thanks
