Imported to the U.S. in 2024, this 1997 Land Rover Defender 110 300Tdi underwent a custom year-long frame-off restoration with matte grey paint over a diamond-stitched tan leather interior. It features a 2.5-liter turbodiesel engine, a 5-speed manual transmission, a locking center differential, a dual-range transfer case, four-wheel disc brakes, Bilstein shocks, a NAS-style rear bumper, a Puma-style hood, a front winch, rock sliders, a Blaupunkt stereo, air conditioning, and rear inward-facing jump seats. This restored Defender 110 is now being offered for auction out of Florida.
This Defender 110 is finished in matte grey paint with matching wheel arch flares and includes a tan removable soft top with roll-up side windows. It has been fitted with a Puma-style hood, a mesh front grille, a front skid plate, black checker-plate fender trim, a front Winchmax winch, a NAS-style rear bumper, rock sliders, mud flaps, and a swing-out spare tire carrier. It rides on black 16” five-spoke steel wheels dressed in Goodyear Wrangler MT/R tires measuring 235/85 all around.
The cabin has been redone with tan leather upholstery complemented by matching square weave carpeting, checkered black rubber floor mats, and diamond stitching on the seat centers and center armrest. Accessories include a leather-wrapped two-spoke steering wheel with matching shift knobs and boots, a split folding second-row bench seat, rear inward-facing jump seats, manual roll-up windows, a center console cupholder, air conditioning, and a Blaupunkt stereo.
Power comes from a turbocharged 2.5-liter 300Tdi diesel engine that drives all four wheels through a 5-speed manual transmission with a dual-range transfer case and a locking center differential. The truck is equipped with Bilstein front shock absorbers and disc brakes at all four corners.

-engine was totally out and rebuilt top and bottom.
-clutch is perfect
-cam was replaced
-new pistons and rings
-transmission opened and rebuilt

Was the engine rebuilt? Upper and lower half
How new is the clutch? Any work to the cam?
Does it have all new pistons and rings?
Was it bored over? Was the transmission overhaul ?

@Warpig - the horsepower is approximately 130hp. The builder did add a double core intercooler plus some other minor modifications.
The 300Tdi engine was popular with Defender owners because of its reliability and simple design. With proper maintenance, it was common for these engines to last over a million miles without needing a major overhaul.
