This 1997 Land Rover Defender 110 was subject to a Beachrunner-style frame-off restoration, including a repaint in Coniston Green, new doors, a new hoop set, and a new black fabric soft top as well as a reupholstered Dubai Brown leather interior. As part of the restoration, the 2.5-liter 300Tdi turbodiesel engine was refreshed with a new timing belt and tensioner, new drive belts, and a new radiator in addition to the installation of new suspension components, new brakes, and oil service. Showing just 100 miles traveled since the restoration, this custom 1997 Land Rover Defender 110 is now being offered at auction by its seller out of Massachusetts.
The exterior was stripped down and repainted in Coniston Green (LRC637) and reassembled with new doors, a new hoop set, and a new black fabric soft top. Equipment includes gloss black fender flares, a front brush guard, front and rear steel bumpers, vented fenders, a rear step, a swing-out rear tire carrier, a fold-down windscreen, smoked marker lights and turn signals, and a black front grille. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with the full CARFAX report. A set of gloss black Land Rover Sawtooth wheels with black Land Rover center caps have been fitted with black lug nuts and a set of new BF Goodrich K02 all-terrain tires.
The interior features new seating upholstered in Dubai Brown leather with gold quilted contrast stitching. As part of the restoration, a new black leather-wrapped dashboard with blue contrast stitching was installed as well as a new locking storage cubby box, new red seatbelts, and new floors. Amenities include a three-spoke wood-rimmed Land Rover steering wheel, integrated cup holders in the center console, heating, and speakers mounted underneath the dashboard.
This Defender is powered by a 2.5L 300Tdi turbodiesel inline four-cylinder rated at 111 HP and 195 lb.-ft of torque, delivered to all four wheels by a 5-speed manual transmission, a dual-range transfer case, and a locking center differential. As part of the restoration, the engine received a new timing belt and tensioner, new drive belts, and a new radiator. The suspension was also refreshed including new shocks and bump stops, and new brakes were fitted at all four corners. An oil service including new air and diesel filters was also performed in preparation for sale.
This sale will include a clean title.

@ionyota if you look at the pass side, you can see it is bolted together and the seat belt is also bolted to the double hoop.
@mdauberman other side looks exactly the same. love these comments from non registered bidders
Bid in the amount of $31,750
@ca56ny Appreciate the tip. But you'll see that the write up says the tires are new BFG tires. The picture didn't include a BFG tire. So not sure how you'd expect me to see the size of a BFG tire that doesn't exist. If there was a picture of a tire that matched the write up, I would not have asked for the size.
Bid in the amount of $31,500
@bigjipper, I’m also referencing image #92. It’s not connected…the metal tube stops short of the double C hoop. Someone’s going to regret this one. Seller is a piece of work.

@ionyota Hi, I just zoomed into image 92 and you can se how they have attached the contrail to the double hoops bound the rear seats.
@emperor This seller has avoided answering many important questions. Some very easy like the question about the Sonar vs. BFG tires. There is not a single picture with brand new (or any BFG), but there are pictures of new Sonar tires which are very inferior and cheap when compared to the BFG tires in the listing. It would have been very easy to respond and confirm this question. I was planning on bidding but don't feel good about this seller.
@Roversallweek I believe that this was not a respectful or relevant answer to my question. You definitely don't belong here with this attitude.
could you elaborate? If any smoke in video?
Just 30 minutes remaining
Don’t forget to refresh devices
@fredinsancarlos perfect , thanks
any issues with engine? I just noticed blue smoke in driving video-at end of driving video or is that my imagination?
Welcome fredinsancarlos

A Quick list of what is gone into to restoration very hard to thing of everything but here’s a few bits
@emperor less than an hour before your cousin bids haha.
@Roversallweek thank you for your reply. That wasn't an actual answer. You are pointing me to a website of a UK-based company. You have placed an ad here as an individual or a business from the US (right?). So, my very simple question is what is the name of the company that did all the work on the car? Is it the one to that you provided the URL? Do you have papers to prove it or you did do that in your backyard? Please, clarify things, there is less than an hour left here.
ca56ny You were here from the start , good luck it’s Geting close
@emperor try www.arkonik they have a really nice website with phone numbers and addresses
Thank you , sorry our website wasn’t up to par best of luck
Now back to selling our beautiful beachrunner
Bid in the amount of $21,000
@Roversallweek hey again, not sure if you've seen my question, I'd strongly appreciate if you reply to me: Hi there! I'm thinking to bid for the car, but I have a serious question. Your website is https://www.revivedclassiccars.com/, and obviously, you are doing this professionally right? I don't see any business address and it seems there are no reviews on google or yelp - not existent as a business. Why?
With just two and hours left :)

@Chickenbox haha city slickers welcome too
@roversallweek. That’s good information, but you didn’t answer my question.
Does the cantrail connect to the double C hoop, or not?
If not, why not? That’s a huge structural deficiency.
Thickness of your metal doesn’t matter if the structural design is deficient.
@ionyota hi , we sold 28 soft tops this year and no one questioned our configuration but your welcome :) this is our hoop set , bent by us , welded by us , designed by us , painted by us the gun barrel we use is 1 inch 3/4 not the cheap 20mm you will find on most , our hoops are far superior and far stronger thanks for circling around on that note take care
@roversallweek, did you see my question about the cantrails not attaching to the double hoop c-pillar bar?
This deserves a beach life , city Slickers hands off haha
Bid in the amount of $20,500

@Bobcat110 hi hope you are well , if you look threw the photos Cleats and Rope ties are on the vehicle , photos are from different stages of restoration so enjoy ALL the photos :) vehicle original Uk ,restoration is done by revived also in the photos , good luck in these final hours my friend
very cool , definitely a head tuner driving that round town
How do the soft top windows attach to the rear tub when the side and rear windows are down? I don't see cleats, rope hooks or a belt rail. Also would like to know who did the build, and what country the vehicle resided in originally.
Bid in the amount of $20,000
@Bobcat110 your right and thank you it’s beautiful for sure :) , the auction was contacted on day one to make the change thanks.
I will advise again now
@Roversallweek I can see that there is no ac in the vehicle , yet it is clearly listed as being an amenity in the description. Please explain.
How easy would it be to lower the overall height by an inch? Thank you
*I meant double hoop behind the second row seat seats, not the passenger seat
Why isn’t the rear part of the cage connected to the C-pillar (the double hoop behind the passenger seat)?
The horizontal bar/cantrail appears to be attached to the rear most hoop, but never connects to the C-pillar.
Bid in the amount of $18,500
The pictures show new Sonar tires, but the description states BFG. Which is accurate? What’s the tire size? Thanks

@Roversallweek beautiful truck but I would suspect you are not getting bids because you have no photos of the undercarriage of the vehicle.
