Available for auction is this 1997 Ferrari F355 Spider presented in the traditional combination of Rosso Corsa over a tan leather interior. Reported by the Ferrari 355 Registry as being one of only 378 Spider’s produced for the model year, this 1997 example features a highly sought-after 6-speed gated manual transmission connecting the driver to a naturally aspirated V8 engine. This F355 also features an upgraded Tubi exhaust system with the original exhaust also included with the sale. Now showing approximately 30k miles on the odometer, this 6-speed F355 Spider is being offered for auction by its seller out of New York accompanied by the original toolkit, owner's manuals, and a collection of records.
The F355 Spider was debuted as the first-ever Ferrari to be equipped with a power-operated convertible top. Honed by 1,800 hours in the wind tunnel, the F355 features Pininfarina-designed bodywork and this example is finished in the quintessential shade of Rosso Corsa with a black convertible soft top and tan boot cover. The seller notes a minor scrape on the lower front spoiler, additional images are provided in the gallery along with paint meter readings and a clean CARFAX report. The car rides on factory 18” 5-spoke wheels dressed in Bridgestone tires showing date codes from 2012.
Inside, this Spider is appointed with a classic tan leather interior featuring a black dashboard, upper door panels, and a 6-speed gated shifter. An array of analog Veglia instrumentation sits ahead of the driver with additional gauges located in the center dashboard above the aftermarket JVC radio. The cabin is described to be in very good condition and the seller reports all accessories and instrumentation to be working properly.
This Spider is equipped with a mid-mounted 3.5L V8 5-valve DOHC engine that produces up to 375 HP. A 6-speed manual gearbox drives the rear wheels, allowing for a 0-60 time of approximately 4.3 seconds and a top speed of nearly 190 MPH. An upgraded Tubi exhaust system was installed in 2019 and the seller reports that the original exhaust will also be included in the sale. CARFAX shows service history dating back to 2001 and a collection of records is included dating up to 2015. There are no outstanding maintenance items reported at this time.
This sale will include the original owner's manuals, toolkit, service records, and a clean title. Offered in its most iconic configuration, this 6-speed F355 Spider is just waiting for its next owner.

@Bob.Beck8428 SCROLL ALL THE WAY DOWN THERE ARE SHOOTS WITH THE TOP UP
@Bob.Beck8428 THE BLACK IS THE TOP DOWN WITHOUT THE BOOT ON IT . THE TAN IS WITH THE BOOT ON . I WILL ADD SOME PICTURES WITH THE TOP UP .
@Farmhouse27 Thanks for the info, sir. Helpful and appreciated.
Why is the boot black at the beginning of your pics and tan towards the end? No shots of the top?
@LaserGuru THE VALVE GUIDES WERE DONE DURING THE LAST MAJOR IN 2015
AS FAR AS I KNOW THE EXHAUST MANIFOLDS HAVE NOT BEEN REPLACED UNLESS THEY WERE DONE WHEN THE TUBI WAS INSTALLED . BY THE WAY THE STOCK EXHAUST IS INCLUDED IN THE SALE
@racingjeff THE LAST MAJOR SERVICE WAS 2015
@Farmhouse27 Thanks for the info. Those tops are touchy and on occasion, down right grouchy. Are the valve guides and exhaust headers OEM? That's the big replacement on the 355s.
Bid in the amount of $45,000
@LaserGuru The last major service was done in 2015 in Palm Beach Fl .
The top is working . I must say that the emergency button must be used occasionally.
Fuse panel is original. I have no records of it ever being replaced nor do I see any mention of any issue with it in the service history that I have . Another major was done in 2002 by Wide World in NY.
Nice car! BTW, "dog leg" normally means first gear is down to the left. I don't believe that is the case with this car's 6-speed.
Seller, let's ask them up front. Have the valve guides been replaced? Have the exhaust manifolds been replaced? Operational condition of the convertible top? Service history of the top? Original fuse panel? Very interested in the responses. Thanks.
When was the engine out service last completed?
Bid in the amount of $10,000
