Developed as a homologation special for the Carrera Cup 3.8 RSR race car, the 993-generation Porsche 911 Carrera RS is regarded as the purest, most unadulterated version of Porsche’s final air-cooled 911. It features a special 3.8-liter M64/20 flat-six engine housed within seam-welded bodywork along with a lightweight interior, lowered adjustable suspension, a limited-slip differential, 18” Speedline wheels, and brakes from the 911 Turbo. This 1996 example was delivered new by Autocenter Bredabaan NV, now Porsche Centre Antwerpen, in Belgium. It comes finished in Polar Silver Metallic over a Black leather interior and features an optional Clubsport rear spoiler, air conditioning, a front strut bar, and a Matter roll cage. Having spent time between Belgium and France with four registered owners from new, this Carrera RS is now being offered for auction with approximately 73k kilometers (45k miles) showing on the odometer, accompanied by a stamped service book and a Porsche COA.

Using a modified version of the 993 Carrera 2 bodyshell, the Carrera RS features a rigid chassis with extra reinforcements and seam welding. It comes standard with a unique front spoiler, side skirts, and red brake calipers mounted behind 18” Speedline three-piece wheels. This example is finished in Polar Silver Metallic and features an optional Clubsport Package rear spoiler (M471) as well as aftermarket TechArt exhaust tips. The seller reports that the car’s paint is original apart from the right front fender, which was refinished many years ago, and the underbody was professionally detailed with dry ice cleaning in May 2024. The car rides on Porsche N-spec Pirelli P-Zero tires with production date codes from 2021. Detailed images and paint meter readings are provided in the gallery.

The Black leather interior features a pair of fixed-back Recaro bucket seats, a three-spoke leather steering wheel, and lightweight door panels with red cloth pull straps. The minimalist RS interior comes without rear seats, sound-deadening material, a central locking system, or a sound system. This example was equipped with air conditioning as a factory option and a genuine Matter roll cage is said to have been installed upon delivery by the original owner. A Porsche Classic inspection notes a crack on the driver’s sun visor mirror.

Rated at 300 HP and 262 lb.-ft of torque, the air-cooled 3.8-liter M64/20 flat-six engine features lightweight forged pistons, dual oil coolers, VarioCam variable valve timing, a VarioRam intake manifold, and specialized Bosch Motronic engine management. The rear wheels are driven through a 6-speed manual transmission with a limited-slip differential and RS-specific gearing. The car has been modified with TechArt exhaust pipes and is factory-equipped with adjustable anti-roll bars, Bilstein dampers, a front strut brace, an Automatic Braking Differential (ABD), and 322mm cross-drilled disc brakes from the 911 Turbo. The seller states the car was deemed to be in excellent mechanical condition by the Porsche Classic Center in Antwerp and the inspection report is available for reference.

This sale will include owner’s manuals, a toolkit, a spare tire, an air pump, a stamped service book, maintenance invoices, a recent Porsche Classic inspection, and a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity.

The seller would like you to know: “Carrera-Sport-Classics is a specialist in good quality Porsche 911’s. We are a small but passionate dealer but love to help our clients worldwide find their dream 911 to add to their collection. We are selling this very nice and good 993 RS for one of our clients that we have known already for 30 years. Before we put this car for sale we checked it completely by Porsche Classic to ensure that the future owner will be as happy with the car as the former owner. The reason for the sale is that the actual collector wants some changes in his collection (already too many similar Porsches;-))The car is in very good condition and the actual owner hopes that the next one will also take care of it as much as he did. Don’t hesitate to contact us for more detailed information. We have lots of clients in USA and we can help you with shipping with our network of reliable partners. All inspections are allowed.

Best regards

Guy Claessens”
