Up for auction is this 1996 Porsche 993 Carrera 4S.  As the last generation of air cooled 911’s, the 993 holds a special place in Porsche history.  This specific example is an excellent driver-grade example with some distinct upgrades.  Originally sold new in New Jersey, this C4S spent a large portion of its life in California before returning to the Northeast in 2009.  The seller acquired the car from the 4^th owner who cared for it since 2013.  It is now being offered for sale with a clean Carfax report and 121k miles showing on the odometer.  

Finished in Polar Silver and beautifully contrasted by a factory Midnight Blue interior, this wide-body coupe simultaneously looks both aggressive and elegant.  The car shows well overall for a car of this age and mileage, however, there are some typical flaws that you would expect.  The true condition of the car is outlined in the photo gallery.  The car has a few tasteful upgrades such as air-duct inserts for the front bumper, Turbo S style front lip, Euro spec bumper covers, clear turn indicators, litronic headlamps (Porsche part), and a Gert protection bar behind the front bumper.  Also installed, is the very desirable C2S twin-grill replacing the very drab black plastic version that was originally installed by the factory.

Inside, the midnight blue interior is in very good condition for the age and mileage with normal wear and tear such as creasing on the seats as seen in the gallery.  Some tasteful upgrades include a 996 steering wheel, 996 sport seats w/ hard-backs, drilled pedals, shift knob, later CR-220 factory head unit, MB quartz door speakers, and silver gauge faces with aluminum trim.

Powering this 993 is its original air-cooled 3.6L flat-six that sends power to all-four wheels via the ultra-desirable 6-speed manual transaxle.  Some upgrades performed by the previous owner are a lightweight flywheel, performance exhaust and suspension components, an RS clutch, and more. A comprehensive service carried out in June of 2018 included:

• Changing of all drivetrain fluids 
• Spark plugs 
• Brake pads 
• Oil and fuel filters

3-piece RH 3.6 Turbo-Look 18″ wheels were refinished in 2017 and are wearing a set of Sumitomo HTR Z III tires have approximately 14k miles of wear.  The suspension was upgraded to Walrod bushings, RS front and M030 rear sway bars, an Automotion front strut tower brace, and TRG adjustable camber plates. 

The sale will include a spreadsheet listing delivery options and ownership history, as well as service history back to 2001, a binder of receipts, a clean Carfax report, and clear title.
