This 1996 Porsche 993 Turbo represents the final generation of the air-cooled 911 and is factory-finished in Polar Silver Metallic over a Black leather interior. It features a 408-horsepower twin-turbocharged flat-six engine, a 6-speed manual transmission, and optional supple leather heated seats with adjustable driver lumbar support. Purchased by the current owner in 1999 with approximately 4k miles driven from new, this 993 Turbo is now being offered for auction out of New York with approximately 28k miles showing on the odometer.
The 993 Turbo features wider fenders than a contemporary Carrera model along with unique bumpers and a fixed body-colored rear spoiler. This example is finished in Polar Silver Metallic and rides on factory 18” Technology hollow spoke wheels with Sumitomo tires in the front and Bridgestone tires out back. Equipment includes xenon headlamps with washers, integrated fog lights, an electric sunroof, a rear window wiper, red brake calipers, colored wheel center caps, and dual exhaust outlets. The seller adds that the car has been kept in climate-controlled storage throughout their ownership. Additional images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The Black leather interior includes optional heated and power-adjustable seats in supple leather with adjustable driver’s side lumbar support. Other accessories include a four-spoke leather steering wheel, power window and door locks, automatic climate control, cruise control, a factory CDR-210 stereo, an aftermarket integrated radar detector with a speaker and dashboard lights, and an aftermarket Alpine navigation system which has been installed in place of the under-dash ashtray. The original ashtray is included in the sale.
A twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter flat-six engine delivers up to 408 HP and 398 lb.-ft of torque to all four wheels through a 6-speed manual transaxle. Acceleration from 0-60 MPH takes place in approximately 4 seconds while stopping power comes from fixed 4-piston brakes with 322mm cross-drilled discs at each corner. Upon taking the vehicle out of the garage for photos, the seller noticed that the odometer has stopped working, which is a common issue on 993's. He can attest the car has hardly moved since the last entry in 2019 and confidently can say that less than 250 miles have been added since that time, hence the sale. A $500 credit will be given to the buyer to perform the repair as this is the estiimate he was given.

Yes.
Is that you, Larry, with the Turbo ?
Folks, while I initially expected a higher price for the car, I have decided to lift the reserve. My intention to sell is genuine. The car will go home with a new owner today!!!
@IGB911 The paint thickness meter has indicated a higher reading on the left rear fender, which may suggest it has been repainted. I have owned this vehicle for 24 years, having purchased it in 2000 from the original owner when it had only 4,000 miles. At the time of purchase, I did not obtain any paint meter readings, as I was captivated by the car's style and appearance.
While I am not a professional car collector or an expert on Porsches, I prioritize transparency regarding the vehicle's condition. This is why I included the paint reading for the left rear fender in my disclosures.
When the vehicle was manufactured 28 years ago, it was hand-painted at the factory, which may result in variations in paint thickness. To the best of my knowledge, the left rear fender has never been repainted. I share this information to assist potential buyers in making informed decisions during the bidding and buying process.
Additionally, please note that the car has never had protective film applied.
can you please explain the paint meter readings? What paintwork/bodywork was performed? Is there any film on the car? Many thanks in advance.

I'm a fan of Polar Silver Metallic and these photos do not begin to show it's character (there's a hint of ice crystal blue in there.) Anyone who asks "this is Artic Silver?" is fixin' fer trouble.
The paint meter readings indicate resprays in the left rear quarter and perhaps a front fender or is there some partial coverage of paint film?
Also, I'd suggest underbody photos with the trays removed and showing each corner including the suspension and chassis.
Being one owner and only 27K miles that seem to be documented on the carfax up to 2021, I'd suggest sharing the customary "stack of receipts" … by now it's going to be more than just the door handle seals that have dried and failed, but that's all just housekeeping. The Monroney and any original sale documents, etc.
It's great to see a survivor being sold by the owner privately, not a dealer … no disrespect to the good dealer folk, but that intermediation is not a advantageous step in the provenance and the keeping of the records.
It's also great to see a 911 represented "as is" rather than prepared for a pro photoshoot. Though I do concede that those spectacular photos can inspire the buyers. I used to be a partner in a shop that specialized in 993 and 964 (and later, 996, 997.) I've serviced many a 993 turbo including my own, from the chore of plugs and compression-leakdown tests, to lightweight flywheels and clutches, GT2 conversions with 2WD, factory performance parts, there's a lot these cars can tell you just from the witness marks around the suspension and engine. To my eye at first look underneath, aside from the paint readings, this one looks "unmolested" as they say. Probably dealer serviced for the first 10-15 years and the condition of the body trim pieces confirms it's been in a garage. Underneath appears to be all present and correct, all the various covers, nuts and screws in place, none apparently stripped or replaced, no apparent modifications and the factory "off road" ride height is a clue that this one hasn't had aftermarket suspension. Removing the alarm system and the Alpine, getting a factory battery and tidying up the frunk, you've got a helluva time capsule, or someone like me, who'd just start driving it and double the odometer in a few years.
I look forward to seeing the documentation to set this auction up for a very fair market value, that ideal when the buyer would have paid a little more and the seller would have accepted a little less. : )
