We are pleased to offer this 1996 Porsche 993 Turbo finished in Black over a Black leather interior with Aluminum details. Representing the final generation of the air cooled 911 Turbo, this 993 carries a 3.6 L twin-turbocharged flat-six engine which sends power to all four wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. Reported to have undergone a full engine-out service within the last 1k miles at a cost of over $13k, this 65k-mile 993 is now being offered in excellent highly original condition by its seller in Boston accompanied by the original window sticker and a clean Carfax report.
The Black finish on this Turbo is said to be original and in great shape with some minor stone chips on the front bumper (detailed images and paint meter readings are provided in the photo gallery). As a Turbo model, this 993 features wider bodywork, a redesigned nose with additional air inlets and a body-colored fixed rear spoiler. Factory optional chrome oval exhaust tips are also equipped along with updated Porsche 996 Turbo Twist wheels which come dressed in Sumitomo tires from 2015.
Inside, the Black leather upholstered cabin is said to be in excellent condition with all factory specifications retained. Options highlighted on the original window sticker include metal doorsill insignias, aluminum shifter and brake handles, aluminum instrument dials and Porsche crested headrests. The original radio remains fully functional along with all other gauges and accessories.
Power is derived from a 3.6 L twin turbocharged flat-six engine which is paired with a 6-speed manual transmission with limited slip differential. 408 HP is distributed amongst all four wheels, allowing for a 0-60 time of approximately 4.4 seconds and a top speed of 180 MPH. Within the last 1k miles in 2017, this 993 underwent a comprehensive engine-out service at Porsche of Burlington at a cost of over $13,000. A clutch and flywheel performance is also said to have been performed at this time. Records from this service are provided for reference within the photo gallery.
This sale will include a set of 2 keys, owner’s books, tools and the original window sticker. For any passionate air-cooled enthusiast, this nicely presented 993 Turbo offers an incredible opportunity.

Hi @me . I went and looked at it again- there does not appear to be any rust there, just some touch up paint- this car is all original paint, so if the buyer wants to fix- they can. But its barely noticeable. I've sent additional photos to pcar

I know that is a very common thing with the air cooled cars, I will check in the a.m.
@bostonmotorsports got you. Are there any signs of rust under the rubber trim around the windshield? Normally you can lift it up slightly to peek under.
Hi @me (weird, sounds like I am talking to myself)
It looks like there was a botched windshield repair job somewhere along that was touched up with touch up paint that spidered a bit
What is going on with the paint at the front drivers corner of the windshield in picture 68?
Bid in the amount of $70,000
@Spicy-Y the car is in Brighton, Ma. Which is in Boston
Where is this car located?
A start up video, as well as paint meter readings have been uploaded
Thanks!
@maineman yes, it says that in the listing, thank you!
Bid in the amount of $65,555
@sharksailer the AC blows ice cold, vents worked well, as did the blower motor. I am not aware of any rebuilds, however, it works as intended, and cold!
I spoke with the technician who safety checked and went over the car, he said there was no leakage from the turbos.
I just took a startup video and sent to pcar
@bostonmotorsports wheels are from a 996 Turbo
@sharksailer no leaks from the turbos, I will check on the AC this morning for you
We haven’t sent the paint meter photos yet, I think pcar was a little early in anticipating them. We will have them up today, I left the office before they asked.
Car appears to be unmodified and original
What work if any has been completed on the A/C system? My old TT like many others needed a complete rebuild of all the solenoids that control the heat/air and vents...
Any oil leaks from the turbos?
I couldn't find the paint meter reading photos?
Any after market parts? Suspension (seems euro height) exhaust?
Thanks
