We are pleased to present this 1996 Porsche 993 Turbo finished in Arena Red Metallic over a black leather interior. Marking the final generation of air cooled 911 Turbo, this 993 remains one of the most highly collectible vintage Porsche’s on the road. Having been under the care of its original owner up until this day, this Turbo has been diligently maintained throughout its life with a comprehensive engine-out service performed in 2017 at a cost of over $15k. Equipped with a stage 1 performance tune which is said to add up to 61 HP, this Turbo is now being offered for auction in fantastic driving condition by its seller in Maryland while showing approximately 91k miles on the odometer.
The Arena Red Metallic finish is noted to be in good condition for its age with clear paint protection film applied over the hood and front bumper. Some chips have been indicated in the paint protection film and the seller notes that the left rear fender was professionally refinished following a minor incident (detailed images are provided in the photo gallery). This Turbo features widened fenders, a distinctive rear spoiler and factory equipped hollow spoke Twist alloy wheels which come dressed in Pirelli P Zero tires.
Inside, the black leather upholstered cabin is said to be in excellent condition while retaining its factory specifications. The original radio remains in place and the seller confirms all gauges and accessories to be fully functional.
This 993 is equipped with an air cooled 3.6 L twin turbocharged flat-six engine which is rated at 408 HP stock. A 6-speed manual transmission distributes power to all four wheels making for a factory 0-60 time of approximately 4 seconds. An Auto Authority stage 1 tune has also been applied resulting in claimed power gains of up to 61 HP. A new clutch was installed at 50k miles, a comprehensive engine-out service was performed in 2017 at a cost of over $15k and the turbochargers were rebuilt in 2018 along with a full standard service. Reported to have always been properly maintained, this Turbo is said to be in excellent running order with a vast collection of service records dating back to the original purchase.
The sale of this Turbo will include a set of two keys, books, service records, a spare tire, toolkit and clear title. This stunning Arena Red Metallic Turbo is sure to satisfy any air cooled Porsche enthusiast.

@SinaMD @SinaMD, age, down sizing, wife. Not necessarily that order. Seriously, it's just the right time for me and wife. Makes me quite sad to give it up.
Hi, not sure if already addressed but why are you selling this vehicle? Thanks!
@ChildsPlay Thank you so much for all the information.
gujuhammer - Hope this answers your questions.There are no rust spots anywhere on the car,much less under the hood.There's no pushed up metal & what you see is glare .The left rear fender was repaired by Tischer Porsche & is the original factory fender. & is impossible detect visually any damage.Car tracks hands off straight & doors & hood close properly.Ther e are no electrical problems.Accident was in Severna Park,Md. I have no idea of any recall .you refer to.
@gujuhammer There is no rust or crushed metal or scrapes in the wheel well area.The car is at a local repair shop undergoing a thorough inspection, before bidding ends.
mdea, not sure if u got my previous comment. I'll send again. I should have the car back Thur. p.m. sometime. I'd be glad to have u take a look at my house. Don't want to interfere with work schedule at Tri Tech. If you want to do PPI after that, no problem.
My address is 252 w. joyce lane, arnold, 21012.
@sharksailer Underside photos have been uploaded to the gallery.
@Drstevens Underside photos have been uploaded to the gallery.
@ChildsPlay Sent you a couple PM's.
Can you please tell me more about picture #40 (Picture of the spare)? Looks to be a rust spots on the left side? Is that crushed metal in the bottom left corner? It's hard to tell from the pictures?
@mdea The car is at Tri-Tec Automotive in Annapolis awaiting new rear tires arriving Thurs at noon. Jack
Hello, I live in Annapolis, would I be able to see the car tomorrow (8/26)?

@sharksailer I now have pics of underside. Not able to post them, but can text them if u give me a call #
Bid in the amount of $45,000
@Drstevens sorry for the delay responding. I just had the car put on a lift and took some pics of underside. However, I'm not adept with technology. I can text u pics if u will give me a cell # though. BTW, if u have looked @ the car fax service info, it's incorrect. I have never had any service done @ Honda, Westminster, Md. Don't know where they got that info. (p.s.,
mechanic who put car on lift said it was the cleanest 1996 he has seen)
Sorry to hear that but for us bidders need to get an idea of how the underside looks, it’s pretty crucial especially on a car like this!
@sharksailer Unable to post underside pictures ,but I can assure you it's clean & undamaged .Bye the way,the car has never been driven in the winter or on salted roads.
@bobcar Autothority is in Fairfax,Va. Stage one was installed 11/8/00 & cost $5500.
@sharksailer no
@ChildsPlay I have no actuator issues & to my recollection the original is in the car.I'm not sure you received my earlier response ,but I live in Annapolis,Md. where it's currently in the mid 80's & 90's & the car is comfortable.
@sharksailer Same answer. A/C works fine. I live in Annapolis,Md. where it's hot & humid table.currently high 80's ,low 90's& the car is comfortable.
@childsplay also are you able to post underside photos, and paint meter photos please.
@childsplay still looking for information on my A/C question below.
@abacpm this isn't water cooled? Air cooled (well more accurately oil cooled) why I asked is my last 993TT that I sold 18 months ago needed the A/C actuators replaced, because it would blow hot air on you the second you turned on the fan, its not about removing the AC unit it's about being able to control any of the heat/AC and as an air (oil) cooled porsche they run hot so imagine that air blowing on you the second you turn on the fan...
@abacpm but then again I live in Scottsdale
@sharksailer A/C on a water cooled engine .... it’s laughable I disconnected mine....
@bobcar Stage One comes with a new brain box [sits under left seat;still have original] adds 61HP{don't know torque increase] & K&N air filters.Costwas $5000.With 461HP,the easily reaches the reputed CD limit of190 MPH. I think it'll push 200. I had it at 186mph with the basic 400hp& still had 400 rpm left.
Any more info on the auto authority stage 1 tune?
Bid in the amount of $37,500
Bid in the amount of $25,000
Forgot to mention, custom made, red cover will be included with purchase.
How is the AC on the car? Including the actuators that control and the individual vents/defrost etc. Common problem on 993 TT's
@Narbeh Thanks for contacting me. There were no pictures taken of the incident. The damaged factory fender was repaired by Porsche, Silver Spring, Md., using factory paint . Left hollow alloy wheel and tire .also replaced. Visually the car is showroom perfect.
Happy to answer any other questions.
@childsplay - nice car. arena on black is so nice on the 993. do you have photos depicting the extent of damages and repairs associated to the accident listed on carfax?
One of the replaced turbos is Porsche Factory new, the other is rebuilt .The paint is in EXCELLENT condition & has always been garaged. New Factory shocks on the front wheels
