Finished in Arena Red Metallic over a Marble Grey interior, this 1996 Porsche 993 Carrera Coupe is equipped with an air-cooled 3.6-liter flat-six engine sending power to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. The car has been modified with a Turbo-style front bumper and is said to have been factory optioned with Litronic bi-xenon headlamps and the M030 Sport Chassis package. Purchased by the seller in 2009 and refinished in its original color, this 993 is now being offered for auction out of Oklahoma with a salvage/rebuilt title.
This 993 is finished in Arena Red Metallic and features a Turbo-style front bumper cover, Litronic bi-xenon headlamps, fog lights, black stone guard decals, a speed-activated rear spoiler, polished dual exhaust outlets, an electric sunroof, and 18” Turbo-look wheels. The seller indicates new tires were mounted in 2023 and the exterior has several paint touch-ups and road rash on the front end. The CARFAX report shows a salvage/rebuilt title was issued in 2009 and the seller states the car was completely refinished upon their purchase along with replacing the front bumper cover, hood, fender, door, and mirror. The seller adds that there was no structural damage to the car’s tub. Additional images are provided in the gallery.
The Marble Grey interior features power-adjustable front seats, a black leather Porsche 996 three-spoke steering wheel, and an updated Blaupunkt Bluetooth radio. Other accessories include power windows and mirrors, automatic climate control, cruise control, a central locking system, aftermarket speakers, and custom floor mats. The seller indicates the car has been driven approximately 35k miles under their ownership, although it was driven for about 8k miles with a broken odometer. The car’s true mileage is unknown.
An air-cooled 3.6-liter flat-six engine delivers up to 282 HP to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. The car is said to have been factory-equipped with the M030 Sport Chassis option which adds stiffer springs, shock absorbers, and anti-roll bars. The seller states this 993 would benefit from a low-end engine service, although there are no outstanding mechanical issues.
This sale will include owner’s manuals, a toolkit, a spare tire, an air pump, a car cover, a battery charger, and a slave/rebuilt title.
The seller would like you to know: “I have enjoyed driving this car for the last 16 years. It was a great entry-level car for me. I’m sure it has many more miles of enjoyment for the next owner. I have a reasonable reserve set on this car. Please enjoy the auction. Again, this car may have a salvage title but the tub is good and straight and it was not damaged. So just minor cosmetics.”

@Pipeking can you post a photo of the engine case? Is the engine dry or does it seep/drip any oil?
Bid in the amount of $34,000
door operates flawlessly. I guess I don't notice the fitment. But nothing has changed since I rebuilt the car.
Has the fitment of the hood and bumper always been misaligned since you bought it after being rebuilt? Also does the door operate properly even with the broken weld. Thanks

The picture of the hinge can be seen in photo 76
@bartkibr not a c4
@Pipeking Hm I can't see the photo of the broken weld. "It says photo coming soon". Also, I looked up the VIN in the Rennlist decoder, which describes this car as the AWD Carrera 4. It is not a Carrera 4 right?
I just posted another pic that you guys should see. The weld broke behind the fender that attaches to hinge on drivers door. I have lived with it since I restored the car. I don’t want anyone buying this car feeling that I wasn’t transparent.

@bartkibr yes they are! I recentley had a detail done. And they were added.
are those black flare guards easily removable? did you put those on, or did you buy car with them on
@bartkibr a bit but not very much. It can be lowered.
@bartkibr 0 rust always been garaged. Never outdoors
Any rust areas? Like the areas around the windshield and rear window? I think i see some rust on the paint from picture 37 but correct me if i'm wrong. Overall, any particular areas where the paint is not so good? Thanks for addressing my questions thus far
@Pipeking is it currently lower than stock ride height?
Bid in the amount of $30,993
It has had a recent service. And new tires.
@bartkibr yes sir
would you give confidence to the cars ability to make the drive to the east coast?
@Pipeking not trying to sound curt, it’s a really good car. Mikes gone for the holiday I bet. But he told me to have you guys call him.

@brocspradlin no
Tried reaching out to Mike at Dumonts and hes out until tuesday. Is anyone else there familiar with the car?
@twickes40 yes as it has the adjustable suspension.
Perfect car to turn into a track monster.
@bartkibr I’m working today. Won’t get to get pics of the undercarriage until this evening.
Maybe 1 quart of oil in 1000 miles.
can you post the pictures of the front of the car with the hood closed, and undercarriage? Also, what is the oil consumption look like for the car? How many miles driven before needing to top off, etc. Thanks
He has serviced it always
@brocspradlin no, very dry! I encourage you to speak to Mike at Dumonts Porsche in okc. I tried to put his number here but PCARMARKET’s won’t allow me to post it.
Any oil or other fluid leaks?
Bid in the amount of $25,750
I would like to review my history with this car because so far I probably haven’t given a clear story.
I bought the car 15 years ago. Although it had some damage, it was fundamentally a very sound car.
I had it fixed properly and have enjoyed the car over the years, taking many road trips, going on tours, and participating in PCA events with it. During that time, I’ve continued to make improvements, without any budget limitations, because it was my first Porsche and I loved the car.
Since I bought it, I now have a small collection of Porsches including a couple of 356s and two years ago I bought a new GT3. I find that I’m more more driving the new Porsche and that’s part of why I am considering selling this car.
Anytime the car has needed anything, I have done it and I have faithfully had it maintained during my ownership.
The car is fully serviced and ready for a new owner to enjoy. For about the last two years, I thought about maybe selling it and then didn’t because I do love this car very much.

@brocspradlin I will take some thiscevening
@bartkibr it does now. I will post a pic
@Pipeking So the hood doesn’t close?
Any photos of undercarriage? thx
@bartkibr actually the hood wasn’t closing in that picture. Inner molding was off. The car isn’t perfect. If you bid you will notice the reserve will reflect that too.
Looking at picture #18, the bumper fitment looks really off
No invoices didn’t think to save them
@Abuong01 always a 6 speed car. The car was painted in 2010. Paint is uniform looks good but not perfect. # 2.4 paint. I have drivin it as a car never a trailer queen. If you look in trunk area you can see the overspray and original paint.
@pipeking. Was this car an auto trans converted to 6 speed. Is the paint uniform all around, new paint matching the original paint and do you have any of the invoices related to the repaint and subsequent rebuild.
@bergeyscustomrods It actually needs nothing there. I know this sounds silly. But I think this was about another car.
Quick question... What do you define as a "low end engine service"? This could encompass a range of things. Thanks for any info you can provide.

Bid in the amount of $1,243
@taggartmaritime I called Mike at Dumonts in okc. They have the Porsche shop. He actually couldn’t remember anything. I have 6 other cars. Your welcome to call them. Ask for Mike
Hi- Big fan of Arena Red/grey color combo. The photo of the original speedo shows the vehicle was an automatic transmission car. Was this vehicle converted to a 6 speed manual at the time of the total loss ?
@needanothercar always changed the oil at least once a year. Very reliable sports car. I serviced the car at Dumonts Porsche in Okc.
Ask for Mike.
Bid in the amount of $993
Hi. Beautiful car, what is meant in the description by this? Is there something specific you are aware needs to be completed? “low-end engine service”
Beautiful car, I like the interior color. You do not describe any maintenance to the car, was scheduled maintenance performed on time, brakes rebuilt, fluids changed?
I just uploaded a picture of the speedo with 121000 miles. It came out of an automatic transmission car. So that speedo was in the car while I was having the original repaired at Palo Alto.

The car was purchased by me on an online option I don’t know whether it was eBay or some other at the time. But I was looking for another 911. I had known one for a long time and I was looking into getting into another car and specifically a 993. I didn’t have much money at the time so I found this one in NORMAN and I 35 imports and Salvage. Front fender door hood bumper cover possibly a light and maybe the fog lamps replaced. All parts were found from donors cars either on eBay or the samba . The windshield was gone and I had to replace the dash top. It looked like a large tree had gone through the windshield and bent the driver seat some. Not sure how the driver fared unknown to me. I believe the car came out of the Philadelphia area But not sure. Maybe the reason I think that is his original PCA sticker is still on the window. I’ll look at that answer that I’ll send you close-up picture of that too. There was a large dent just in front of the sunroof and that we worked out. if you can look at the pictures in the trunk area I removed the carpeting and the wheel and you can see there was no damage to the bottom of that. Again the tub was not damaged and the airbags did not deploy. Actually I don’t remember if the airbag for the driver seat Was it’s been a few years. All I know is I remember that I replaced the steering wheel with a 996 wheel so I could have a three spoke wheel.
@Pipeking repairing the correct Speedo.
@WRA87 @WRA8 the speedometer I had in it while repairing must have shown 115000 miles. I have at my shop I will post a pic of it.
Re: the odometer and the salvage title/total loss on Carfax. Per the Carfax report, during your ownership the last reported odometer reading is 115,076. But the sale says 89,000 miles (TMU). I know it also says you put about 35k miles on it and that for about 8k miles it had a broken odometer. Can you explain - what was the situation of the car when you got it? Do you know what the circumstances were that led to be it being declared a "total loss?" What was the odometer reading when you purchased it? Very pretty car but just a lot of questions which hopefully you are in a position to answer. Thank you.
