Beginning life as a 1996 Porsche 993 Carrera 4S originally sold from the Champion Motorsports dealership in Florida, this Coupe was relocated to Colorado in 2004 and eventually purchased by Rivard Competition in 2020 who performed a custom GT2-style restoration. The car received complete GT2 bodywork made from carbon fiber along with a lightweight Alcantara interior, custom paintwork, new Brembo brakes, BBS wheels, and a naturally aspirated 4.0-liter flat-six engine. An uncompromising build supported by records dating back to 2005, this 993 GT2 Tribute is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Canada.
Upon arrival at Rivard Competition, the car is said to have been outfitted with replica GT2 carbon fiber bodywork including iconic bolt-on fender flares, a sunroof delete roof panel, an EVO-style front bumper with an aggressive spoiler and brake cooling ducts, extended side skirts, and a large rear wing with integrated air scoops. The exterior is painted in a custom nonmetallic shade of green and the car rides on 18” BBS Motorsports wheels dressed in new Toyo Proxes tires. Additional images are provided in the gallery.
Inside, this 993 showcases a custom lightweight interior upholstered in black Alcantara including RS-style door panels and a matching three-spoke MOMO steering wheel. A pair of new Recaro SBG racing seats have been installed and feature custom backrest shells painted to match the exterior. Other accessories include custom yellow gauge bezels, a Carrera RS shift knob, and red door pull straps. The rear seats, sound system, and windshield wipers have been eliminated, however, the climate control system remains in place.
The newly built air-cooled flat-six engine displaces 4.0 liters and includes new cylinders as well as a custom exhaust system. The motor is said to have been optimized for maximum torque and sends power to all four wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. New “Big Red” Brembo brakes were installed during the build and most of the mechanical components are also said to have been refreshed. The seller adds the rebuilt engine has been run for approximately 100 miles and routine maintenance has been observed with records available dating back to 2005.
This sale will include some documentation and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “Thank you for visiting my auction. We have owned this Porsche for 2 years and we performed a full restoration that we just finished. Car was upgraded to a GT2-look with a 4.0L engine.”

You are absolutly right, there would no duty since it is originated from the US. We did work before with 2 International transport copany and they are taking care of all the paperwork for your importation.
I take it since this car originated in the US, bringing this this back would be quite simple with no duty fees?
102 and 80.4
This is a very unusual color..is it a PTS? Its deeper and greener then Miami Blue.. Also not sure why your calling this a GT2 tribute accept for the body work details.. its not a turbo and it is not a RWD only like a GT2 would be.
It is how ever a very pretty car!
What's the Bore & Stroke of the engine?
Bid in the amount of $60,023
The engine is from a 1995 with 80,000miles, that we rebuilt for one of our customer. This customer wals building a RSR project but after 7 years, he just stop his project. We bought the car back with the engine freshly rebuilt as a 4.0L The engine has approx
100 miles on it. We put these miles on the car and as we said with a weight reduction of approx 25%, performance is very close to 993 Turbo. We still have the 1995 993 with the original engine from this car. No dyno
Was the original engine rebuilt to 4.0 or was this a swap? If swapped, do you know where it was sourced from? And dyno numbers?
