The original Carrera 4S was introduced for the 1996 model year featuring a naturally aspirated flat-six engine paired with an all-wheel-drive system and wide bodywork from the 911 Turbo. Finished in Speed Yellow over black leather, this inaugural year 993 Carrera 4S features optional hardback Sport Seats, a carbon fiber lower dashboard, a carbon/aluminum shifter knob & handbrake, Heated Front Seats Package, Motor Sound Package, and a HiFi Sound System. Upgraded with a Fister Stage III exhaust and PSS10 lowered suspension, this example is now being offered for auction out of Texas with just under 39k miles on the odometer and a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity.
The 4S shares its wide fenders, bumper design, and red-painted brakes with the 911 Turbo and includes the standard Carrera’s speed-activated rear spoiler. This example comes finished in the striking shade of Speed Yellow. It rides on factory 18” Turbo-look wheels with “4S” logo center caps and Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires dated 2018 and mounted approximately two years ago. The seller adds that the ride height has been lowered with a PSS10 suspension system. A minor crack on the front bumper is noted along with slight evidence of repaired rock chips on the front end. Additional images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
Inside, the black leather interior features optional hardback Sport Seats and carbon fiber lower dashboard trim. Additional options include a carbon/aluminum shifter knob & handbrake, the Heated Front Seats Package, a HiFi Sound System, and black Porsche-branded floor mats. A Porsche Classic Radio has been installed along with a magnetic phone mount. The seller notes slight distortion of the speakers at full volume.
The 993 Carrera 4S equips an air-cooled 3.6-liter flat-six engine that sends as much as 282 HP and 251 lb.-ft of torque to all four wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. The Motor Sound Package was opted for, offering an enhanced exhaust note. The seller adds that a Fister Stage III exhaust system and PSS10 suspension have been installed. A binder of complete service documentation is said to accompany the sale, and no outstanding maintenance items have been reported at this time.
This sale will include a clean title, two keys, owner’s manuals, a toolkit, an air pump, a car cover, the original radio, an extra set of Coco floormats, a binder of service documentation, and a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity.
The seller would like you to know: “I shopped for years to find this spec. It is loaded with factory options including a rare Speed Yellow finish, hardback seats, and more. This C4S has extremely clean paint with the perfect mods. This car is a total stunner and can't be driven without compliments.”

I recently bought a defender 90 from seller. He is a friend. I’ve got about 10 cars in my collection. He started my pcar fascination. This car is immaculate. If my wife wouldn’t kill me for adding another one I would have already bought it. He takes great care of his cars. Next buyer has already had most of the heavy lifting done for them. GLWA
Driving video is up
interested to see the finish on this one. speed yellow is a fantastic color and looks amazing on the 993. a lot to like about this car. good luck to everyone in on it.
this car makes me want a 993 so bad - it is perfect, and it's the perfect size 911. GLWA
all the new stuff is huge. my 991 is almost as big as my wife's Volvo XC70 wagon!

@WLB1214 Thanks -- that is correct. I am working on getting pcar to upload a driving video to show the sound and handling

Great car. Perfect mods. Just want to add that the Fister Stage III’s are factory mufflers that Darin modifies. The III’s are the most aggressive but it’s really only on acceleration. Otherwise you barely hear anything else and no droning. Also, does not affect any smog test. They are genius!
No drone sound to the Fisker at any speeds. I do not have the stock exhaust. A/C blows ice cold (basically essential in TX) but I do not know when the last charge was as it hasn't needed it during my ownership.
Any drone sound to the Fisker exhaust system at driving speeds? I probably missed it but is the stock exhaust system available? From the pics it looks like A/C system is a R 134. Blow cold, fully charged? Thanks.
Oh and love the car, would be all over it but add’l garage is not finished yet. Need another 6 months. GLWS!
All sellers should be like @rexrover. Kudo’s to you for being on this auction above and beyond what might be expected. You should offer a class in ‘seller responsiveness’ to PCarmarket sellers. BRAVO!
The 2 minor flaws are the crack on the bottom of the front plastic bumper and the original speakers not sounding great at full blast. I didn't address the bumper because 1) since the car is low, its almost inevitable to happen again and 2) it's hard to see. I was going to have the speakers re-coned but I rarely blast music so it doesn't bother me and I like to keep as much as factory/stock as possible. It would be easy to swap out the exhaust/radio to stock and have it be 100% factory correct, but I think this sounds much better.
Everything works and it's very dialed in -- its only of a few collector cars that I own and I like to keep them as perfect as possible. I drive it a couple times a month when the weather suits. As mentioned, I've had a few of these and this one is the best 993 widebody that I had ever seen -- and it came thru people I trusted with lots of documentation, so I jumped on it. It was nearly perfect then but I think the couple things I've done made it slightly better. Those are:
-some mechanic work detailed in the receipts and annual services
- the PCR
- a replacement 993 windshield done by a professional with experience doing lots of 993 glass. the previous one had minor chips but it was the pitting that bothered me.
Hope that helps
Looks like a very nice 993. What are the flaws in this car? If you were to keep it, what would you fix? What would you improve on? Does everything work? Please elaborate in detail. Thank you.

Another DM:
- no rust. car is rust free and no door strap issues.
Got a couple DM's about emissions and exhaust, so sharing that info here as well
-Any codes or engine issues? No, there are no check engine lights, known issues or codes. I have done preventative services each year and corrected the couple issues that popped up during my ownership asap.
-Will it pass emissions? Yes, it has passed emissions as-is in Texas plenty of times but I can't speak to other states. The exhaust company (TD Motorsports) is based in Cali so I assume it would pass all 50 states since that's the most stringent.
- How does it sound? The exhaust sounds mean.. I think it's how it was supposed to sound with the motor sound package, like it's alive. I tried to show the sound in the 2nd video but let me know if you'd like another video to capture it. It sounds a lot like this: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/0nb6K3wx6YE
@skywalker27612 No repaint, it is all original paint and I have a binder of everything that's been done to the vehicle, receipts attached. 993s were hand painted at the factory so there is far more variation than say 997s, and typically a even more variation on the hips like this. I can do another video with meters and can also get serious bidders in touch with previous owner to verify. Rudy agreed.
It has been paint corrected twice and ceramic coated twice, never been outside CA/TX and garage kept with collectors so that's why the paint looks so good. Serious bidders are welcome to come check it out in person.
Bid in the amount of $993
@skywalker27612 that's pretty normal paint variation for a 993. it also appears consistent side to side which is more important than unilateral consistency.
Based on paint reading, assume the car was repainted? Any history on that?
Thanks for checking out the auction. Car is in Austin TX and I'm available if buyers want to see or drive it over the next week. For those that know him, Rudy mr_993 helped me find this one a few years ago and the previous owner is also a pretty well known porsche guy on Instagram. I've had a bunch of 911s and 993s and this one was cleanest I've seen personally. Please check out the receipts - its been maintained locally by a porsche specialist and I can also connect you with them.
Couple notes:
- tires are new in last ~2k miles
- battery is new couple weeks ago
- these are factory Technology Hollow-Spoke wheels
