Up for auction is this very special 1996 Porsche 993 Carrera Coupe. Finished in Aventurine Green Metallic over a classic gray leather interior, this Carrera Coupe is an instant standout among other examples. Previously sold on PCARMARKET, this example has since undergone $17k worth of maintenance and upgrades. Originally sold new in New Hampshire, this beautiful 993 is now being offered for auction by its current owner out of Greenwich, CT with 64k miles showing on the odometer.
The Aventurine Green Metallic finish on this Carrera is said to remain in great condition, and presents itself as a very well-cared-for example. A previous owner had the rear stone guards professionally removed and replaced with larger custom cut clear paint protection film to better protect the rear quarter panels. Additionally, during that time, the front bumper was professionally refinished to correct rock chips and a minor paint bubble located near the windshield VIN plate was also addressed. Documentation of these repairs will accompany the sale. This 993 has recently been fitted with tasteful 18" BBS wheels that wear new Michelin Pilot Sport tires dated from 2019 (original Cup 2 wheels will be included with the sale).
Inside, you will find a grey leather interior that is said to be in very nice condition which is clear when viewing the gallery photos. The seller notes that a few upgrades were implemented including a new MOMO steering wheel, aluminum pedal set with passenger side floorboard, new shift knob with billet short shifter, and a hub adaptor. All electronics and accessories are in working order.
This 993 retains its original normally aspirated flax-six engine producing 282 HP and 250 lb-ft Torque. For the 1996 model year, Porsche upgraded the flat-6 engine with the VarioRam induction system. Power is delivered via a 6-speed manual transmission. The seller notes that over $17k was spent on bringing this 993 to top-level driving condition. Alongside a few upgrades such as a complete H&R suspension system set at a European ride height and an upgraded Fabspeed RSR exhaust system, this car received many recent service items including: a new braking system with new master cylinder, replaced brake pads, rotors, and sensors, new Michelin tires, and all new fluids and filters. It is said to be in excellent running condition.
The sale will include a clean Carfax, two keys, books, and records from the work performed by the previous seller. The 993 is a very special Porsche for many reasons. Don’t miss your opportunity to own this unique example.

@BLK87911 yes it went through. Thanks
@Greghart1 did the deal go through? Thanks
@SilverdogCT I appreciate the note. If you ask me a question via the site we can communicate directly. I expect the deal to go through but again thanks for the note
@Greghart1 if al_ganda flakes out or crumps on his bid, RE intl. shipping, duty etc. I'm still interested in the car as a backup. I live in New Canaan but work in Greenwich when I'm not WFH, have a 15 911S ducktail on a home lift looking for a bunkmate on the lower level.
congratz to both buyer and seller
Sold for $54,448
Love a 993 with a rear wiper
@Philly215 Underneath the headlights are slight rock chips. It’s not very noticeable until you get up close so not sure that’s what you are seeing in the pic or not. There are no major scratches or chips on the hood or sides of the car. The paint looks pretty great for a 65k mile car
Thanks for the pics! are the little white specs on the front parts of the car just dust and grit or is that in the paint? Its fine either way just want to know haha. Seems like it hasn't had a wash in a minute (get it with this general weather!)
@al_ganda I have never done this. Buyer is responsible for shipping and I will accommodate whatever you have arranged.
Hi . Do you accommodate shipping internationally?
(i posted this comment earlier but for some reason didnt go through )
@Greghart1 Great, thanks!
@Philly215 pics should be up soon
Bid in the amount of $54,448
Sure Though in the dark I’m not sure you’ll see much so will have to be in the morning.
Any shot that we could have you do a few pics of the hood or sides of the car wiped up without the road grit on it? See some white spots over the front of it and it looks like dirt/pollen, but just curious for a little close up there if possible! Thanks!
@Cjlangstslo I am 6’4. Issue is I have a long torso so the issue for me is headroom not legroom. I also have injured my back which makes it hard for me to drive this comfortably. Otherwise I can assure you I wouldn’t be selling it. I just bought it and spent a ton of money making the car really special. But I need something bigger.
I just took it out for a drive. It was awesome. Whomever wins this auction is going to get a great car.
@Greghart1 How tall are you? if you don't mind me asking.
@Wjw0599 yes all the original parts I swapped are included. The original cup wheels as well.
Is the original exhaust included?
@Silverdog i have not tracked it. Actually the reason I’m selling it is that I can’t fit comfortably in it at my height so a helmet would certainly be out of the question. I don’t think SST did an over rev report. Feel free to email me directly through the site for more info.
Have you tracked the car? Is there an over rev report from Speedsport? In New Canaan, might come take a look.
Service records have been added to the photo gallery.
@BLK87911 No oil leaks and I can send you the records of the service i did at Speedsport. They did a full eval on the car as well which was where we decided to do the entire brake system.
The video that was posted is a cold start. If you’d like a video of the inside of the car while I’m driving I can try to do that. Let me know.
Are there any oil leaks? Service records? Does everything work on the car? Would be possible for cold start and driving videos? Thanks much
Bid in the amount of $54,199
@Greghart1 Will send another contact seller message here for you now!
@Philly215 if you email me directly I can send you the video.
Bid in the amount of $51,250
@Greghart1 Great, thanks! Im sure that sounds great.
@Philly215 yes full rsr with heat exchange. With cats.
Definitely looking forward to the exhaust video...so is that the full Fabspeed RSR system that uses their headers back? Id imagine this one is running with cats vs without yeah?
@ksourlas it’s finally nice out so I’ll take it out today and video the exhaust
@Gq34 no curb rash as you can see and the tires are pilot sports brand new. Maybe 300 miles on them.
@Greghart1 hi there, any update on the video with the exhaust sound?
Ah i see the closeups. How much tread left on those tires? Can you measure?
Any curb rash on those wheels? What are they? What did you pay for them? Can we get closeups of all 4?
Bid in the amount of $45,993
Very pretty car! Well done!!!!
Bid in the amount of $41,000
Thank you for the quick response.
Any chance you can share with us Photos of the undercarriage
Bid in the amount of $35,799
@9teen71 I asked the shop and they said the old ones can be put back in without problems or noticing the change.
Bid in the amount of $33,000
@9teen71 I will have to ask the team that installed if it would leave holes. Yes the airbag light is illuminated with the steering wheel. If you put the original back on that goes away obviously.
Beautiful 993. Can the aftermarket aluminum pedal set, dead pedal and passenger floorboard be removed without leaving any evidence they were there, such as screw holes? Also, is the Air Bag light illuminated or eliminated? Thanks in advance.
Bid in the amount of $31,000
@al_ganda I have not done any major engine service. Full inspection and work performed recently however and clutch is in good working order. I don’t have record of when it was replaced but believe it to have been done.
Hi there, has the engine had any major service recently, and if so how many miles ago?
Was the clutch replaced?
Thank you and GLWS
@Greghart1 thanks for the super prompt reply
@ksourlas we will post a video of the exhaust later today. All work was done at speedsport motors in Danbury ct.
Yes the original shifter, wheel, and exhaust are in storage.
1) i see there is an after market exhaust installed which can be tricky, could you provide pls a video with the sound ?
2) are the original steering wheel and shift knob provided if car is sold?
Bid in the amount of $25,000
Love aventurine! Gorgeous car!
