We are pleased to present this low-mileage 1996 Porsche 993 Turbo Coupe finished in Polar Silver Metallic over a black leather interior. Standing as one of the most desirable air-cooled Porsches on the market, this example has recently received a full engine reseal at a cost of over $14k, and is said to have been extremely well preserved throughout its life both mechanically and cosmetically. Showing 70,158km / 43,594k miles on the odometer, this well preserved Turbo is now being offered for auction in exceptional condition by its seller in Canada.
The crowd favorite Polar Silver Metallic finish on this 993 is said to be in excellent condition. Detailed images of the exterior are provided in the photo gallery. Unique visual factory features include a widened body shell and a distinct Turbo rear spoiler. This 993 rides on a set of factory hollow-spoke 18” Turbo Twist wheels which come wrapped in Michelin PS2 tires.
This 993 showcases a well-maintained black leather interior that features a pair of desirable hard back Sport seats. Additional noteworthy features include self dimming mirrors, rain sensors, heated front seat package, Porsche crest in headrests, metal door model insignia, and aluminum trim on the brake handle and shift knob. All gauges, electrical components and accessories are reported to be fully functional including the factory head unit. It is safe to say that this Turbo has been well cared for throughout its life.
This 993 carries its original air-cooled 3.6 L twin-turbocharged flat-six engine rated at an impressive 408 HP and 398 lb-ft of torque from the factory. Power is distributed to all four wheels by way of a smooth 6-speed manual transmission making for an originally claimed 0-60 time of 4.4 seconds with a top speed of 181 MPH. The seller notes that a complete engine reseal was performed by Weissach Porsche at 41k miles. At this time, a new clutch was also installed. This Turbo is said to be in excellent running condition. @H20koooled that is correct! Vehicles are being transported by a huge mass currently over the border due to the currency. Transport trucks are a essential so it’s not a issue.
@rak1161 I may be wrong but I believe having this car transported by a trucking company is still in effect and happening. Transport companies are considered essential.

@KSP888 I was told the front bumper and hood was repainted years ago due to rock chips, paint is in AMAZING condition. Sorry I never had the paint measurements read.

@jdf1271 I believe there is a 2.5% import tax if you were to import into the USA. This car never left Canada.
Is there an import tax on this car or has it been in the US before?

@993C4S Hi, importing a Canadian car into the USA is very straight forward. I do know of a person who imported a few aircooled Porsche’s over the border with no hiccups.
To be able to get the car over the boarder, You do have to call up Porsche America with the VIN (1-800-PORSCHE) and tell them you're importing the car from Canada to the US, and you need a Safety and Compliance/Import Letter. They'll send it to you in about 7 days (and it's FREE!). With that and all the legal paperwork (BOS etc) your good to go.
As for the emissions, as long as the car has the USA compliance emission sticker on it (WHICH THIS CAR HAS), it’s legal anywhere in the USA. The only thing you MIGHT have to change is your speedometer face to a face with miles and km readings, which again is straight forward and easy.
Do you know where I can find information on importing to California? Would like to know if it can be registered and smogged. Thanks!
