Introduced for the 1996 model year, the Carrera 4S incorporates a responsive naturally aspirated engine with the all-wheel-drive system, chassis, and widened bodyshell of the 993 Turbo. This launch-year example is finished in Black over a Marble Grey interior and came factory equipped with exclusive Aerokit front and rear spoilers as well as the optional Motor Sound Package. Showing approximately 83k miles on the odometer, this sought-after Carrera 4S Coupe is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Texas.
This Coupe is finished in Black and equipped with an Aerokit from Porsche Exclusive including a modified front spoiler and bi-plane rear wing with integrated cooling ducts. Turbo-derived Brembo “Big Red” brakes are seen behind factory 18” 911 Turbo wheels dressed in Continental tires from 2015. Removable model-logo graphics are applied to each side and a single-stage paint correction has been recently completed. The seller states both bumpers and the right rear quarter panel were refinished after the accident reported on CARFAX in 1998. Very slight peppering is present on the hood along with a minor hairline scratch, a small paint bubble is noted on the right rear quarter, and hardly-noticeable abrasion on the decklid is only visible when opened, additional images are provided in the gallery.
This 993 features a Black and Marble Grey partial leather interior with custom carbon fiber trim added to the dashboard, door panels, and center console. Factory equipment includes automatic climate control, cruise control, a central locking system, power seats and windows, a sound system, and an electric sunroof. A small tear is noted in the leather near the rear seats as well as a blemish on the right front seat bottom and discoloration on several areas of carpeting. A new Alpine Bluetooth head unit was installed in 2022 and the seller reports all gauges and accessories to be fully functional other than the electric passenger mirror adjustment.
A naturally aspirated 3.6-liter flat-six engine delivers up to 282 HP to all four wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. This example is equipped with the optional Motor Sound Package which provides a more aggressive and resonant tone. Maintenance history is provided on the CARFAX report including new front brakes and a clutch master cylinder in 2016 as well as the most recent service in December 2022. A major 60k-mile service was reportedly carried out in 2008 and an extensive binder of maintenance records accompanies the sale. A small leak is noted from the right-side timing and lower valve cover, the engine drive belts show signs of age, and a slight creaking noise is reported from the left-front suspension over bumps. The seller adds that the front brake pads, rotors, and pad wear sensors have been replaced.
This sale will include the original owner’s manuals, service records, and a clean title.

@rlogan - yeah, it just seems odd that the previous owner took it in for the major 60,000 mile service in 2008 (which is a big one) but would then wait 2 years for $150 PDR accident repair. Feel like they held some invoices back from the binder they passed on (which is otherwise comprehensive). GLWTA
Bid in the amount of $60,000
@TurboFever I agree 100% seemed that way to me.
Thanks @rlogan - just curious, why was the accident reported to carfax in 2008 but the work was done in 2010 - any insights? Seems crazy to make an insurance claim for damage under $175

@TurboFever Tgavjs Turbo! Q1: Pic 127 is the second page from 126.
Q2: Will upload 1998 receipt for accident.
Q3: No to interior question. The Reenlist pic of chair is unclear. No interior redo indicated in any receipts. Color is perfectly consistent throughout interior to include all side panels, bolsters and etc.Happy to take more pics of interior or even video if you’d like. She is a beauty.

Beautiful 4S!
I have a few questions
1) is the total sum of repairs from the accident in 1998 just the receipt shown in photo #127 for PDR? (Date is not visible on receipt).
2) 2008 repair invoice lists bad wheel damage and re-alignment, do you know what happened?
3) A post on a Rennlist forum lists this same VIN but the seats appear to be darker grey, is this the same vehicle? Has the interior been changed out? https://rennlist.com/forums/993-forum/1222836-what-s-it-worth-96-c4s-aero-5-speed-manual-coupe.html
Many thanks

@Mr_jamo Hi Mr. Jamo and thanks for the follow up. That is he only information I have. I have even called the shop and they has a computer system change over and has no records.
@Rlogan Thanks,
Seems like I've heard this before..lol
Yes it's a beautiful car for sure!
I appreciate all the information provided
Do you know anything about the accident and repairs? Have any documentation of what repairs were made? Which side was it? How extensive was the damage/repair? Were OE parts used?
Thank you
The documents you loaded were for paintless dent removal in 2010.
@ToddH677 Thanks for the question. Had a unique opportunity to acquire 11 months ago. Too many toys in the garage and wife said one had to go, sadly. This is a beautiful and rare 911 4S and will be very missed. Drives like a dream and looks fantastic.
Why are you selling after only owning car for approximately 7 months?

@Mr_jamo thanks Mr. Jamo. . No lien, clean title, will upload 60k service, and the receipts for accident repair from 1998z Also worth noting is that this 912 4S shows extremely well and and is mechanically, per the Porsche technician is excellent. Pictures of receipts coming in next 30 minutes. Thanks again.
Do you have receipts from maintenance, 60k service and accident repairs, beyond the carfax report that you could share? Do you know how the “repairs” were made or any information on the accident or the damage report?
Is there a lien on the vehicle currently?
Thank you

@Rlogan as a further clarification on my comment above I spoke with the Porsche mechanic just now and he confirmed that there is no engine reseal necessary.
@Rlogan Thanks you for the quick response and details.
Absolutely not. The Porsche mechanic at Autoscope here in Dallas also noted that this was minor adding that crankcase is dry and has no leaks.
Great looking 4s, love the interior with the black parts breaking it up. In the description is states "A small leak is noted from the right-side timing and lower valve cover, the engine drive belts show signs of age"
So assuming an engine out and reseal is going to be in order/needed?
