The Carrera 4S was first introduced for the 1996 model year featuring a naturally aspirated flat-six engine paired with an all-wheel-drive system and wide bodywork from the 911 Turbo. Finished in Guards Red over black leather, this inaugural year example was purchased by the current owner in 1996 after being driven just over 1k miles by the original selling dealer. It has been routinely serviced by the same Porsche specialist over the past three decades and comes factory equipped with optional heated Sport Seats, exclusive aluminum shifter and parking brake handles, aluminum-look instrument dials, and several other premium features. Showing just over 35k miles on the odometer, this Carrera 4S is being offered at auction by its longtime owner out of New York.
Sporting the wide fenders, bumpers, and red-painted brake calipers of the 911 Turbo, this Carrera 4S comes finished in Guards Red and rides on factory 18” Turbo-look wheels fitted with “4S” logo center caps and new tires. Optional equipment includes Litronic Bi-Xenon headlights and a rear window wiper. A clean CARFAX report is provided in the gallery and a recent pre purchase inspection will be made available soon.
The black leather interior includes optional heated and power-operated Sport Seats as well as factory exclusive aluminum-look instrument dials and aluminum inlays for the shifter and brake handle. A cracked speaker grille is noted on one of the doors and the seller confirms all accessories to remain fully functional including the original radio. The factory specifications label on the underside of the hood lists the following equipment codes:
The air-cooled 3.6L flat-six engine produces up to 282 HP and drives all four wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. The suspension has been lowered and aligned to European specifications and the seller notes the car has always been maintained by the same Porsche specialist at The Automaster in Burlington Vermont, who later continued to service the car at Bullfrog Auto LLC.
This sale will include a clean title.

@Jas_Cain It was parked next to rose bushes at home and the pollen stains would not come out. Paint is truly perfect now.
@Salmo.salar what occurred to the car that resulted in paint work described in the meter readings? Based on the description are you the seller of the vehicle the long time original owner?
@DVan1 We do have paint reads. They are found at the bottom of the Bullfrog Vermont invoice that is posted. It is the second to last posted image.
Do you have any paint reads on this car
@Jas_Cain Thank you for the message, The Porsche specialist was The Automaster in Burlington, Vermont. I have already posted the only invoices I have from them. Keeping the invoices was way off my radar back then and these were found in the glovebox. Automaster no longer has any records available since they no longer sell Porsche's, I checked. Their Porsche mechanic, Juan, moved on to Bullfrog Vermont and still services the vehicle. The earlier Automaster invoices even have the Porsche logo on them. You are welcome to call Juan at Bullfrog Vermont and he will be happy to discuss the vehicle with you. Just Google them since I can’t post their number.

Are the records by the same Porsche specialist over the past three decades available, and if so who was it?
Bid in the amount of $83,500
@Archer1 OMG ? yes! That is not this car, will get it removed. I submitted them in bright sunlight outdoors today and 74 must’ve got looped in. Sorry. Stephen
@Salmo.salar (seller)- I'm assuming pix 74 is from another car?

@3peddleonly Hi! It is posted, see Bullfrog invoice for requested data. Stephen
@3peddleonly Thank you, you are correct, the PPI and recent work invoice has not been posted. I have just emailed my PCARmarket contact just now asking for this asap.
I don't see the PPI...? Also, can you get paint meter readings. I haven't seen anything about whether the paint is 100% original. How about a driving video with a walk around please. Great looking car but need more info. Thanks
Bid in the amount of $75,000
Pursuant to your requests, I have uploaded photos of the underside of the car and all service records to my PCARmarket folder. I have emailed both my contacts to get them posted ASAP.
@Salmo.salar Thanks Stephen, it’s nicely preserved! Appreciate the further explanation.
Bid in the amount of $35,000
@Rpwyman I fear selling the C4S for the very same reason. I’m out of town this week but will ask maintenance to take photos of the underside today. It’s so low that I’m concerned of the quality of the photos without putting it on a lift but we will try. She’s never seen a winter if that is your concern. Standby for underside photos ASAP. Thank you. Stephen
I sold my 98 4S with 24K miles last year here and of course, regretted it ever since. being your car is an East Coast car do you have any picture of the underneath of her? thank you for your time
@bmourer You are correct bmourer, she’s been in storage since 2016. You can probably see the window registration expired in 2017. It’s been in parked next to my 1997 Defender 90 that will be listed shortly. Bullfrog Vermont, an air cooled Porsche specialist just did a full service, NEW TIRES, brake flush, hydraulic bonnet and engine hatch lifters plus other minor items for $2700. I will get that invoice and a previous one where a ton of other maintenance was done a while back over to my handler at pcarmarket ASAP to be published.
Thank you for your interest, she’s very special.
Stephen
Hey! Beautiful C4S. I’ve seen the km vs mileage issue on CARFAX a few times, totally makes sense. That said, the last odo reading on the CARFAX is 35,085 in 2016. So only ~200 additional miles since then—assume it’s been in storage. Any other records from the independent mechanic that’s been doing the work? Very interested, just curious on the gap years not recorded. Many thanks.
I moved to the USA from Canada with the car and the difference is the conversion from kilometers to miles.
What’s with the Odometer issue on Carfax
Greetings! This is Stephen and I hope you like my C4S. Please contact me with any questions, no matter how minor.
