Offering all-wheel-drive, naturally aspirated performance coupled with the wide body styling and large Brembo brakes of the Turbo model, the Carrera 4S remains one of the most sought-after air-cooled cars of all time. This 1996 example is finished in Midnight Blue Metallic over a Black leather interior and features a 6-speed manual transmission along with various factory-exclusive additional leather elements. It was further optioned with heated and power-adjustable front seats, pleated front and rear leather seats, cruise control, a sunroof, and more. Showing approximately 47k miles on the odometer, this C4S is now available for auction by its seller out of Texas.

Compared to the standard 993 Carrera, the 4S showcases the wider bodywork and bumpers of the 911 Turbo. This example is finished in Midnight Blue Metallic (L39C) and rides on 18” 911 Turbo wheels featuring optional colored Porsche-crested center caps. Equipment also includes front fog lights, a speed-activated rear spoiler, dual exhaust outlets, and red-painted brake calipers with white Porsche lettering. The seller recommends replacing the tires due to age. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

The Black (LG) leather interior was exclusively optioned with additional leather covering the center console panel, center console button panels, slots behind the parking brake, speaker covers, and dashboard trim. An upgraded Porsche head unit has been fitted, and very minor wear is noted. While the option decoding indicates 8-way power-adjustable seats, this example is equipped with 4-way power-adjustable seats. A list of other factory options is provided below:

Powered by an air-cooled 3.6-liter flat-six engine, the C4S sends up to 282 HP and 250 lb.-ft. of torque to all four wheels by way of a 6-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. No outstanding maintenance items have been reported, and the CARFAX report shows three service history entries.

This sale will include a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “This is a great quality air-cooled 911, driver quality and relatively low miles for the age of the vehicle. The dark blue exterior is very handsome and is often complimented. The interior shows very well, and the car runs superbly.”

We have just under an hour to go on this auction. Thanks guys for following this auction. Just a friendly reminder Pcar auctions reset in the last minutes so unfortunately no way to steal one at the last second. If your serious about owning one of the last great air-cooled 911's get your bid in NOW! You will NOT be disappointed with this car.
Bid in the amount of $90,000
@Jwd911 if you read the comments fully, I did mention that the listing is incorrect in regard to the seats.
An additional video has been uploaded to the listing.
Funny, I have 8 way seats in a low mile car that shows 4 way seats on the COA. Coulda been built on a Monday or Friday 🤣 I also have older, original unrestored cars with mirrors on the right side but no mention of that as an option. Foglights - but no mention as options. When you dig into Porsche build records - a lot is not mentioned unfortunately. I had to beg Porsche to put the actual paint name of my 997 PTS C2 aero kit instead of just “Paint to sample 99” and they did! Oh vay!
Bid in the amount of $88,000
@jeepnjoe wondering why the question of whether or not these are 4-way or 8-way seats hasn't been answered after being asked a couple times. Can you confirm either way?
@Davidmcd2018 just verified with someone onsite that the OBD port does in fact work properly. Will attempt to add a video here shortly.

@Davidmcd2018 thank you for your question. I am away from the car this morning but will see if I can have someone on location verify that the OBD port is working as it should. Honestly we have had no reason to need to attempt to connect to this car for anytype of mechanical diag.
I just want to confirm that the OBD, on board computer works as new. This is a very rare option on a 993 that became standard on the 996. Thanks
A little less than 8 hours remain on this auction. Don’t miss this opportunity to purchase one of the last GREAT air-cooled cars produced by Porsche. Again, Good Luck to all bidders.
@slimeynutsuck997 the car does have Bilsteins on it. Unfortunately no other spare parts are available with the car. The car does have 4 ways, the listing is incorrect on the options list.
Hello,
I see the dust boots surrounding the shock absorbers are blue. Possibly indicating the suspension is aftermarket, maybe Bilstein. Can you confirm if this is true or not. If so, are you supplying the stock suspension?
Also can you explain the discrepancy of the option list showing 8-way seats but the pictures showing 4-ways?
Thank you and look forward to bidding tomorrow.
Thanks again for viewing my auction. We have a little less than 24 hours until this one is over. I do work a full time job and will do my best to answer all questions in this last day of the auction. Again I want to thank everyone for viewing this auction and wish all bidders good luck! Someone is going to pickup an amazing 4S. Thanks Again Pcarmarket for the opportunity to put this car in another Porsche enthusiasts hands.
Bid in the amount of $81,500
@Nein9 unfortunately I do not have the ability to remove the under tray before this auction ends. In regards to previous body damage I would agree nothing about this car would lead me to believe it’s been in any type of accident. I believe this example is truly one of the best examples currently on the market.
Anyway to get pictures of the underside without the trays? Ideally underside pics of engine, trans, transfer case and steering rack.
As for comments around original paint, this definitely has been painted but most older cars have… more importantly is ensuring no body damage which I don’t suspect this car has.

@Grandtheft I have a few records from the past owner in German and will try to upload those later today. The current owner has had the car only since April, but shortly after was able to purchase a brand new Carrera T and that vehicle took over the attention thus this car was not really been driven since.
Can you upload any or all service receipts for this car? How long was this vehicle owned by the current owner & how many miles have been driven under their current ownership?
@Roeser33 Thank you. Appreciate your feedback. 2 months ago I was in Redmond, WA meeting with Nathan Merz and a couple of his cars. I got quite an education including paint, from one of the best,
@chardo6 metallic paints are always higher than flat paints because they are two stage vs. the single stage paint used on 90s eras Porsches (among other mfg.) It looks like a very light, professional respray to me, although I do have some original metallic paint cars with 10-11 mil readings and LOW miles.
I have brought a lot of cars over from Europe (as I see this was in Germany according to seller) The Germans really drive their cars that is for sure, i've noticed it is also super common to repaint their cars, especially the front end. They don't adhere to the same stigma Americans have about original paint, etc. They also are not obsessed with PPF film like us yankees!
This looks to be a super clean example here that presents super well in my opinion. I'd love to see this example with the wheel centers painted to match, that would be the icing on the cake for this gorgeous lady :-) Can't beat a widebody 993. . . always someone looking to add to their stable!
@mgarciagtz I am available to show the car late today, or all day tomorrow.
Bid in the amount of $79,000
Hello, i am in San Antonio today, can i see the car?
@Jeepnjoe thank you
@Chardo6 the paint looks very good. Not many scratches or blemishes.
Just an observation…the codes show 8 way electrical left and right seat but pics show 4 way? Am I missing something? Thank you
Nice car. The paint readings are off the charts. Normal original would show 3.5 to 6. That’s ok. How does the hood and front bumper paint look? Stone chips, etc. Thank you!
Bid in the amount of $77,500
8pxCkr thank you for looking at my auction. The interior is black, just seems to look like dark gray in some photos. In regard to any type of repaint that I cannot verify. I can say that the overall appearance of the paint finish is VERY good and seems to be even throughout the car.
Beautiful 993. The interior looks more like a dark gray than black in the photos, but that could be the lighting/processing. Can you confirm this is standard black leather or a special order dark gray, which I have seen on these, but was not a standard color. Based on the meter readings it looks like the car has been resprayed. Any details on that work, when it was performed, why, etc.?
I do want to mention that the car was in Germany for a while and obviously from the miles that were put on the car it found a home in a collection. Those of you that have been around enthusiast cars from Germany can attest that these cars are generally VERY well-maintained examples that are coveted the world over.
@Greyeti Thank you for the question regarding this 911. We do have several documents from when the car was in Germany. This sale will include those documents as well.
