One of the most sought-after variants of the final air-cooled 911, the Porsche 993 Carrera 4S combines a naturally aspirated flat-six engine, an all-wheel-drive system, and the wide bodywork of the Turbo model. This 1996 example comes finished in Black over a Cashmere Beige and Black interior and was factory equipped with Aerokit front and rear spoilers, the Motor Sound Package, 8-way power seats, a power sunroof, and cruise control. Modifications include Pascha seat inserts, an FD Motorsports short-shift kit, Rennline pedals, Porsche Classic Communication Management, Elephant Racing steering and suspension upgrades, KW V3 coilovers, Fabspeed exhaust components, and more. Showing approximately 104k miles on the odometer, this 993 Carrera 4S is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Oregon.
Presenting the widened bodywork and bumpers of the 911 Turbo, this Carrera 4S is finished in Black and equipped with factory Aerokit front and rear spoilers. The exterior has received over 20 hours of paint correction, three coats of GTechniq CSL + Exo, and new paint protection film applied ahead of the rear fenders. Modifications include Morimoto fog lights, front bumper air inlets, new headlight covers, and lowered suspension. Factory 18” Turbo-look wheels are mounted with Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tires installed within the last 3k miles. A previous pre-purchase inspection indicated that the front bumper, front fenders, hood, and rear bumper were refinished. The seller notes two very small indentations on the bumpers. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The Cashmere Beige and Black interior has been modified with Pascha seat inserts, a 964 RS three-spoke steering wheel, and an FD Motorsports short-shift kit, shift knob, Golden Rod bezel, and boot. Additionally, Rennline pedals, Coco floor mats, and a Porsche Classic Communication Management (PCCM) head unit have been fitted. Factory equipment includes 8-way power seats, a power sunroof, and cruise control. The horn is currently not working, and the rear deck lid struts have failed.
The 993 Carrera 4S is powered by an air-cooled 3.6-liter flat-six engine producing 282 HP and 251 lb.-ft of torque, driving all four wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. Factory equipment includes the Motor Sound Package, which provides an enhanced exhaust note. Modifications and upgrades include Elephant Racing camber plates, rear shock mounts, front drop links, and a bump-steer correcting kit, KW V3 coilovers, rebuilt lower control arms with new bushings, new brake rotors all around with new front pads, and Fabspeed Maxflo side mufflers. A leakdown test performed approximately 3k miles ago showed 2% in cylinders 1 and 6, and 1% in cylinders 2 through 4. Recent service includes spark plug replacement by the prior owner, an oil change at 103,854 miles, and a brake fluid flush within the last 3k miles.
This sale will include a clean title, owner’s manuals, a toolkit, and a spare tire.
The seller would like you to know: “Thank you for visiting my 993 C4S auction! I am selling this car much sooner than I ever anticipated due to the need to free up some funds. I am a longtime PCA member, and after nine ‘modern’ Porsches, I sold my cobalt 997.1 GT3 to finally scratch my air-cooled itch. My friend and I searched long and wide, and when he found this car, I jumped on it due to the factory aero kit, classic black-on-tan color scheme, and a stand-up prior owner. In addition, my PPI revealed that the engine was absolutely perfect, as evidenced by the compression test. After buying the car I had it shipped to Memphis, where it had an open checkbook refresh and all the items in the PPI addressed. After I received the car, I had a local upholstery shop redo the interior in pasha, which I had in my GT3 and absolutely loved. I think it works even better in this car. Whoever gets this car is going to be in for a treat as it truly needs nothing but a new driver. I am here to answer any questions and happy to show it to any local bidders, get it PPI’d at buyer’s expense, or do a FaceTime with interested bidders.”

Here is a video showing the car driving by, as well as a few exhaust fly bys. It sounds better / louder than this video indicates.

@997Sforever haha no, I meant Tarek307, the member who had commented before that post who had said he prefers a sorted driver with miles!
@pilsen
Did you mean Tarett, as in control arms, when you said Tarek in your statement about added upgrades?
Also worth noting - the ad copy mentions the horn is not working. It will work just fine; I simply ran out of time with the car before I could get the appropriate electrical adapter delivered to install. All of the wiring is in place to have a functional horn button. Just needs one remaining part (tab from a 964 wheel assembly) that was on backorder.
@emissivity - The bundle of wires you see in that picture were the vestiges of a hardwired radar detector that a prior owner installed. They had run them all throughout the area under the dash and hardwired directly into the fuse box and then forward to the front bumper. I removed all of it as it was ancient and cluttered and unnecessary.

Hi emissivity, @jreifler can answer the question regarding the wires. Yes the oem steering wheel comes with the car! I will upload a picture.
What happen to the bundle of wires in IMG_5881.jpg? Do you still have the original steering wheel with airbag?
Bid in the amount of $95,000
The age old question … will this appreciate higher… or the s and p 500
Bid in the amount of $50,000
It’ll be interesting to see where it ends up! I was obviously following these two on BaT this past week:

And
https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1997-porsche-911-carrera-4s-110/
On one end there is a 179k mile non aerokit model that went for 118k after fees, then on the other a 33k mile black w aerokit that went for 181k after fees. Interestingly my car with 104k miles has a better motor than the 33k mile example (based on the leakdown results), a some upgrades they do not. Like Tarek, I would much rather have a driver that I could add miles to without guilt. I always had miles in the back of my mind in my prior GT cars, and it was liberating not having that feeling at all.
I've been trying to buy this car since Peter owned it...lol. A driver with miles + being well sorted to me is the best option when buying an aircooled 911- This one already has coilovers which is a big plus ($5,000 with install & alignment right there alone) and a bunch of proper enthusiast upgrades.
Bid in the amount of $25,250
Thank you Peter and Jordan! It really is a great car as you both know, and I am going to be sad when it’s gone, which I suppose you also know lol.

Hi, all. I am the friend referenced in Amir's original note regarding this car. I am a long term air-cooled and water-cooled P Car owner, and do almost all my own mechanical work. I've had 3.2, 964 RSA, multiple 987, 997, 997GT, GT3RS, GT4, lots of ///M cars and more, so I know these cars and the markets very well.
The story is that Amir and I are very close friends, and he'd been itching to experience air-cooled, but is not himself "mechanically sympathetic," as I affectionately put it. So the deal was that we would find him a good solid candidate 993, deliver it to me, and I'd make it mechanically / aesthetically perfect. I would not allow a budget; if I put it on the list, he had to order it. 😂 I spent 3 months last winter with this car and went through and sorted all the normal little deferred maintenance and wear items, remedied all electrical gremlins, overhauled suspension + proper alignment w/ kinematic tool, full service on brakes / oil / trans / leaks, replaced anything I saw that was worn, cracked, or distressed. Disassembled and cleaned everything easily removable (and not so easily, like gauge lenses and bumpers), and then did about 20 hours of paint correction and ceramic. Engine was super healthy and needed nothing, which was the main criteria for the purchase to begin with.
I fell so in love with the platform while working on it and driving it that I sold my Peridot Cayman R to buy my current 993 RS tribute car. It's a brilliant car, fully sorted, and needs nothing. That's me in the driving video on my home backroads here in Tennessee before shipping the finished product off to Amir in Portland. This is my Google Drive for all the work I did on this car: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1b0M9qqsdybqNg0HWfY2NMtrOG-uYozLm?usp=share_link
Please tag me and ask any questions you may have as the auction progresses. I know the car intimately.

Hey everyone, I just wanted to chime in since this was my car before Amir purchased it. I’m happy to answer any questions about the car’s history prior to his ownership and can also share some details about the previous owner. While the mileage may seem “high” on paper, cars like this are more about how they’ve been cared for and in this case, it’s been loved every step of the way. I’ll stand by the phrase you’re buying the owner and their habits not just the car. From my experience, owning this car was an absolute joy. I bought it locally in 11/2019 and kept it until 12/2024. The previous owner was actually a patron at my parents’ restaurant, so I knew him personally he was a PCA NNJR member with a few other Porsches. Under my care, the car was always garaged, maintained by a Porsche tech, and never driven in harsh weather aside from maybe 1 or 2 showers I got caught in and I took one photo in the snow right by my driveway. For more detail, my original ad is still up if you google my name and 993 .When Amir bought it, the transaction was seamless, he clearly loved the car right away. Since then, I’ve kept in touch and seen the thoughtful upgrades and care he’s put in. Honestly, he’s done everything I wanted to do but never had the chance because I was saving for property / upgrade my 68’ 911. The car truly needs nothing, and Amir is a stand-up guy our long-distance deal couldn’t have gone smoother. Bid and buy with confidence; if you’d like extra history or reassurance, feel free to reach out to me directly (though Amir can certainly back it up).Id like to make a point regarding ownership history: the records show 5 previous owners, but in reality, Amir is technically the 4th. The gentleman I bought it from originally purchased it used from Paul Miller Porsche in 1999 with low miles and later transferred it to his Montana LLC in 2016 during a divorce, and I bought it in 2019 (registered in 2020 due to winter). Then Amir purchased it. Transparency matters, and you can clearly see this car has been cherished and continually improved. For anyone interested, my Instagram is @peterkaczynski there you’ll find thousands of photos and videos of the car during my ownership. Pair that history with the mechanical upgrades Amir’s added, and I promise you’ll be smiling every time you drive it.

Hi everyone, thanks again for checking out my auction and please let me know if you have any questions. I’m going to upload paint meter pictures later today. I have a folder of service records going back to 1999 and previously uploaded a picture of them, but don’t see it with the others, so will submit a new one. Also please note that a lot of the pictures that are posted are from before the refresh!
