Renowned as one of the most desirable variants of the final air-cooled 911, the Porsche 993 Carrera 4S features a naturally aspirated flat-six engine, an all-wheel-drive system, and the wide bodywork of the Turbo model. Originally configured for sale in Luxembourg this Euro-spec (RoW) 1996 example is finished in Arena Red Metallic over Classic Grey upholstery and features an optional "slick top" sunroof delete along with power-adjustable hardback Sport Seats, Exclusive carbon fiber trim pieces, an alarm system, more. This C4S is now being offered for auction by its seller out of New Jersey showing less than 80k kilometers (approximately 49k miles) on the odometer.
Compared to a standard 993 Carrera, the 4S features the widened bodywork and bumpers of the 911 Turbo. Specified without a sunroof, this example is finished in Arena Red Metallic (L84S) and rides on 18” 911 Turbo wheels wrapped in Bridgestone Potenza S-02A tires from 2017. Standard equipment includes integrated front fog lights, heated and power-adjustable mirrors, a speed-activated rear spoiler, red brake calipers, and dual exhaust outlets. The seller notes that the passenger side fender was previously resprayed, and detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin features Classic Grey (TF) partial leather upholstery and options include power-adjustable hardback Sports Seats, a carbon fiber gear knob & handbrake lever, and an infrared alarm system. Accessories include air conditioning, power windows, cruise control, central locking doors, and a leather-wrapped four-spoke steering wheel. The seller notes that a Blaupunkt Amsterdam TCM 127 Radiophone system has been fitted along with a corresponding Blaupunkt phone.

Powered by an air-cooled 3.6-liter flat-six engine, the C4S sends up to 282 HP and 250 lb.-ft. of torque to all four wheels by way of a 6-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. Acceleration from 0-60 MPH is reached in under 5 seconds with a top speed of 168 MPH. No outstanding maintenance items have been reported.
This sale will include some documentation, a toolkit, a spare tire, and a clean title.

Paint meter show up in the mail?
Bid in the amount of $82,993
one of the best colors for a 993. Slicktop to boot! Nice car.
Good morning,
As we wind down into the final hours of this stunning Arena Red Porsche 993, with M491 (Turbo look), and Slicktop (Sunroof Delete), we always want to mention a couple of helpful items before we reach the end:
-Make sure to refresh your web browser before the end of the auction. We wouldn’t want you to be off of the auction clock timer. We have seen this happen with heavy web traffic and bids right at the end. The clock resets for every bid under 2 minutes, No need to wait to bid!
- We are happy to assist with shipping, so bid confidently that we will get the car to you safely.
- We will be monitoring the comment section and our emails for the remainder of the auction, so don’t hesitate to reach out.
Thank you!
@Adnanm3 We originally had all the maintenance records, unfortunately during the shipping process they were misplaced. From memory, clutch is original, engine was not rebuild, does not leak…. Runs great, well maintained, tires are at 7mm+
@Adnanm3 We imported it. We have a NJ title, can be registered in any state
Did you guys import it yourself? Possibility of any issues registering it in any state?
Is there any maintenance documentation? Any idea how many owners it had in Germany? Original clutch? Any history of engine rebuild? any leaks? How are the tires?
Bid in the amount of $80,993
@Craiguf I know I promised you paint meter readings, our meter wasn’t working, we ordered another one… hopefully gets here tomorrow, and I will post right away. I apologize for any inconvenience
Bid in the amount of $80,000
@Craiguf
Thanks for your interest, We will upload by tonight.
Can you provide paint meter readings?
Bid in the amount of $65,000
@Silversun262 I concur. Analyzing imaging is very difficult due to subject position, orientation, distortion, etc. However, it does appear that the gap between the passenger side wheel opening and tire is different [less] than that of the driver side. The difference seems minor, but noticeable. First, is this an accurate analysis of the photos? Second, if so, what could be causing this discrepancy? Might it be related to bodywork? Might it be related to underlying suspension componentry? The car was [is] equipped with 033 Sport Suspension. These were [are] lowering springs that are softer than 030 option [spring rates are closer to that of the stock springs], yet still yield the desired lowering effect. Is the car still running the original suspension? Perhaps there is an issue with an original damper on the passenger side? Perhaps the suspension componentry was replaced with a Bilstein adjustable coilover [PSS-9 or PSS-10] and simply requires attention? It would be nice to see measurements as you describe and detailed photos of the suspension componentry. Of course, if the images are demonstrative of a height discrepancy at the passenger side corner, the cause might be far more involved than suggested; some investigation prior to purchase would be advisable [lift, pull the wheels, thorough inspection, measurement of all linkages, bushings, springs/dampers...]

Thank you for that. Typically this measurement for ride height would be from wheel arch to ground.
@Silversun262
Pictures 61, 62… both measure 11.5”
please reference pics 20 & 21 - Could be the light but even zooming in the passenger side looks off. Maybe take a tape measure to both sides and post pics?
@silversun262 @Mdiesel64
Please see pictures. Thanks

@Mdiesel64 I agree with your assessment. The passenger side clearly shows to be sitting lower in the rear.
@umwolverines

@umwolverines
Absolutely, will have it posted by end of day
Can you post underside of engine / trans pictures? TiA
@Mdiesel64
Car sits perfect, just the angle of the picture probably.
what's up with the passenger side rear sitting so much lower than the driver's side? has the suspension been inspected/addressed?
@Third_Pedal
We’re trying to correct it as we speak… we should be able to change it. Florida registers in KM, most other states do it in Miles. Hopefully will be adjusted
Is it possible to correct the mileage on Carfax? It would be nice to reflect the mileage vs kms

@Flat993 makes total sense... thank you for quick reply
@DubbleDeez1 This is a Euro Version that was recently imported from Germany and titled in April, thats why the CarFax starts in April. Hope this makes sense. If you have any other questions, please let us know. Thanks in advance
Can you check the carfax... it starts in April 2024. Seems odd. can we re-run the report to see prior ownership info?
