Representing the final generation of the air-cooled 911, this 1996 Porsche 993 Carrera 4 features a generous list of factory options. Configured at an original MSRP of approximately $88k, this example showcases a Polar Silver Metallic finish along with a 6-speed manual transmission, super rare heated hardback Sport Seats, a HiFi sound system, Litronic headlights, a rear window wiper, Sport Suspension, and hollow-spoke 18” Technology wheels. This beautifully appointed 993 is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Pennsylvania showing just over 30k miles on the odometer.
This 993 can be distinguished as a Carrera 4 model by its silver brake calipers, Carrera 4 wheel caps, and lettering on the rear decklid. It rides on optional 18” 911 Turbo hollow-spoke wheels mounted with fresh new Continental DWS-06 tires. New flare guards have been applied as well as full nose and rocker PPF, and the exhaust outlets have been upgraded to OEM stainless-steel oval tailpipes. The seller adds that this 993 has undergone a full paint correction and detail, the wheels have been refinished, and a full chassis detail was performed using dry ice. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with paint meter readings and a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin is appointed with black leather and features optional hardback Sport Seats with heating as well as a rear windshield wiper, and the HiFi speaker /amplifier. Amenities also include cruise control, a power-operated sunroof, power-adjustable seats, power windows, and air conditioning. The seller adds that a Continental CD/Bluetooth stereo has been installed and original CD player will be included in the sale.
The air-cooled 3.6-liter flat-six features a VarioRam intake system and was factory rated at 282 HP and 250 lb.-ft of torque. Power is delivered to all four wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. Optional performance equipment includes Sport Suspension (M030) for a more firm and responsive ride. The seller adds that the original shocks and springs were upgraded with Bilstein PSS10 coilovers, and the original equipment will be included in the sale. Upgraded BBI polished mufflers have been fitted as well. The seller adds that a full annual service has been carried out along with a state inspection, new tires, a new windshield (to correct delaminating), and corner balancing in preparation for the sale.
This sale will include a clean title and the original shocks and springs as well as the original CD player, a new Continental CD/Bluetooth stereo, and a set of all-weather floor mats.
The seller would like you to know: “If you are looking for the best example of this the C4, you found it here. There was once a time before Porsche’s had a 14-page long options list…. In the 993 era, the vast majority of cars were lightly optioned, so when I find a heavily optioned example it always captures my attention! This 993 reeks of quality wherever you look. It is ready for any Q-tip-wielding PCA judge you might run into! The paint is 100% original as verified with a paint meter and it shows like new. In fact, it was so nice up top that I jumped into the deep end of the pool and treated the entire undercarriage to a full detail with dry ice. Look at the chassis photos, insane…. I especially love the rare sport seats, these look like nobody has ever sat in them."

I know the owner of this 993. To say he's meticulous is an understatement.
This one is every bit as nice in person as it has been presented here.
The new owner will surely be pleased with this purchase.

@Porschedave oh and also new tires and oil change.
@Porschedave and yes, the PPF is still there
@Porschedave we raised the suspension a notch, and had it corner balanced, straightened a bent wheel, replace the windshield due to the do you lamination, motor sound airbox, new radio.
Is the PPF still on the front end? Is there anything you’ve specifically done to the car in the last 3000 miles?

I don't see the pics of the paint meter reading. Do you have it?
I have this year, this color and almost the exact same mileage. These cars are everything people say about them today. Superb handling, great sound, amazing build quality. The C4 is the better handling car than the Carrera and the S due to its four wheel drive. A much better car than the 964 four wheel drive as Porsche simplified and improved the 4 wheel drive system . You cannot go wrong with these cars and will surely continue to rise in value and exclusivity. Good Luck for Buyer and Seller!

Wow, I just realized that this is a former Nathan Merz car (i.e., he does the PCA videos). I knew I recognized it from previously seeing it on his website at Columbia Valley luxury cars. It's got some pretty rare options like heated hardback sports seats. I don't have room for another PCar in the stable, but with 5 days left, I might figure out how to make it happen :) https://cvluxurycars.com/1996-porsche-993-carrera-4-polar-silver-on-black-leather-6-speed-heated-hard-back-sport-seats-m030-suspension-18-technology-wheels-loaded-88k-msrp-and-as-new-w-26k-miles/

@artichoke That is a Rennline magnetic phone mount. It can be easily removed.
Going through all the records I have for the car, there has never been an instance of the CEL coming on and there is no notes of ever having an issue with the vent tubes.
This car has run flawlessly for the past 3k miles in my care.
What is that funky gray round knob on Images 94 & 95, above and between the HVAC controls and the radio?
Any issues with the check engine light relating to the vent tubes getting clogged, (common issue with 96-98 993's that have not been regularly run hard!?
@dashanin Yes, if I recall correctly, all 4's had LSD as standard.
@Cherryblock Thank you! It is truly a fantastic example.
Does it have factory LSD? Not certain if Carrera 4 had it as standard equipment. Thanks!

Call me crazy, but I want to win this just to swap interiors with my turbo! This thing is mint!
I looked at this car last summer and it is a stunner. The only reason I didn’t add was simply heavy on 993s in my collection. Incredibly well sorted, polar silver is such a timeless color with a cool blue hue and to add sport seats, perfection. I have zero horse in this race, just felt compelled to share my thoughts.
