We are pleased to offer this 1996 Porsche 993 Carrera 4 Coupe finished in Black over a black partial leather interior. Representing the final generation of the air-cooled 911, this 993 Carrera 4 features a 6-speed manual transmission and 3.6L flat-six engine sending power to all four wheels. It also came optioned with rare leather-covered inner door handles from Porsche’s Exclusive Department. Freshly serviced, this one-owner 1996 example shows just over 33k miles on the odometer and is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Connecticut.
This Carrera 4 is finished in Black and rides on 17” Cup 2 wheels with colored Porsche center crests and brand new Continental Extreme Contact tires. The seller notes several minor stone chips on the front end as well as two small touched-up imperfections on the doors. There are also two small impressions, one on the rear bumper and another on the front bumper just above the passenger-side turn signal. Paint meter readings are said to show between 4.5-6 mils throughout the exterior, detailed images are provided in the photo gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
Inside, you will find a black partial leather interior highlighting Exclusive inner door handles in leather with embossed Porsche logos (XN2) as well as a leather-wrapped panel in the center console beneath the handbrake (XF6). Other factory options include cruise control, an electric sunroof, and power-adjustable seats. An upgraded Pioneer radio has been installed along with black carpet floor mats with red Porsche logos. Some light wear is present on the seat bolsters and the seller confirms all instrumentation and accessories to be working properly.
This 993 is equipped with an air-cooled 3.6L flat-six Varioram engine that sends as much as 282 HP to all four wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. Renowned for its handling capabilities, the 993 generation featured a new alloy multi-link rear suspension as well as upgraded power steering, larger brakes, and dual-flow exhaust. A 30k-mile service is said to have been recently carried out in preparation for sale including replacements of some seals to address minor oil seepage. CARFAX also shows a maintenance inspection to have been carried out by Porsche of Fairfield in May of 2021 at 33,083 miles.
This sale will include the original toolkit, spare tire, and a clean title. An outstanding example of an increasingly valuable air-cooled Porsche, this low-mileage one-owner 993 Carrera 4 is not to be overlooked.

@8pxCkr Correct. The gentleman passed away and the service advisor at Fairfield Porsche said they purged the records. I know her as well and she said there was nothing she could do. I can honestly say this is a very well maintained example and runs like brand new. Bid with confidence.
@Ricster65 so maintenance records from Fairfield Porsche (except the 2021 service for some reason) were purged by carfax, and the sole owner of the car also lost or did not keep any of the same service records? I guess if they were available they would have been posted already. Certainly looks like a well maintained and cared for example, just puzzling that the single owner would not also have the maintenance records, and choose to share them with bidders.

Can the car be viewed and test-driven?
Not sure if was true in '96, but the silver brakes in my '95 NB basket handle C4, had the exact set up as my big red turbo brakes. 4 caliper, same rotors, pads and anti-squeel sensors.
Another advantage of what looks to be a super copy of this special car.
If this is like mine, it's a Panzer! Zero problems. Four snows, other than once getting stuck on top of high snow, it just ate up bad weather. Still with original clutch at 125K miles. Porsche tracked me down to replace the wiring harness.
And while I love the looks of wide WB turbo cars, can't say enough good things about a NB 993 C4!

@The_Inventor The brakes are like new I didn’t do them but looking at the pads and rotors I would say they were done recently either by miles or time.
