This 1996 Porsche 993 Carrera Coupe is powered by an air-cooled 3.6L flat-six paired with a 6-speed manual transmission. Finished in Midnight Blue Metallic over a Cashmere Beige and Black interior, it features upgrades including an RS-style front valance, ducktail rear spoiler, 19” Fuchs-style wheels, a Fister Stage III exhaust, FD Motorsports Golden Rod and short-shift kit, H&R Performance springs, and more. Showing under 120k miles, this 993 is now available for auction by its seller out of California.
The exterior was refinished in its factory-specified shade of Midnight Blue Metallic (L39C) approximately two years ago. Equipment includes projector headlamps with washers, fog lights, power-adjustable mirrors, Porsche-branded brake calipers, and dual exhaust outlets. Additionally, an RS-style lower front valance, a ducktail rear spoiler, and 19” Fuchs wheels have been installed. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
Inside, the driver is greeted with Cashmere Beige and Black partial leather upholstery. Optional features encompass 8-way power-adjustable front seats, cruise control, a sound system, and a sunroof. The seller adds that an aftermarket three-spoke steering wheel and a Pioneer CD stereo with Bluetooth connectivity have been fitted. Small cracks are noted on the dashboard ahead of the driver’s seat, and all gauges and electronics are confirmed to be in proper working order.
An air-cooled 3.6-liter flat-six engine delivers up to 282 HP to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. Modifications include an upgraded air filter, Fister Stage III exhaust, FD Motorsports Golden Rod, short-shift kit, and H&R Performance lowering springs. Under the seller’s care for approximately three years, maintenance has included a secondary air injection cleaning, as well as installing new brake sensors, a bew battery, and rear motor mounts. A major service was also performed, including the installation of new spark plugs, oxygen sensors, a knock sensor, a fuel filter, and brake rotors, along with performing an oil change using synthetic Red Line oil.
This sale will include a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “This is an absolute blast to drive, especially in the wonderful backroads of Napa Wine Country where I live. I purchased this special 993 from a Porsche collector about 3 years ago. I choose between my older air-cooled Carrera (1975) and my 1996 993, and my 993 wins most of the time because of the 3.6-liter power, but also the awesome sounds that emanate from the Stage-III Fister Exhaust along with the Performance air filter, which has soft, but noticeable winding sound. The suspension and handling are superb. The bottom line is this car is so much fun to drive and leaves you feeling like a kid that just got off the roller coaster wanting to do it all over again.”

@declangessel Hello and thanks for asking. Yes, I have the original spoiler, Steering Wheel, Airbag and suspension Springs. (See in pics), but I no longer have the wheels. I've actually seen a couple of Ads on eBay for the factory wheels for 993 C2 from range of $1,200 to roughly $1,900. Anyway, good luck!
Do you by chance still have the original spoiler / wheels?
Hello Bidders...my eyes are out for any last hour questions. Good luck!
Bid in the amount of $70,500
Hey folks! I'm watching and see that we have less than 20 hours for this auction. Please let me know if you have any last minute questions. Otherwise, good luck. :-)

@Warpig Yes sir! This is a true statement. At almost 70 years of age I cannot break away from the air-cooled machines as I have owned roughly 20 of them since 1988 after a Corvette deal fell through. Yes, my uncle had a Corvette. My aunt drove a Stingray Corvette. My classmates dad had a Corvette. I was certainly inspired to be that "Corvette Guy", but after the deal fell through in S.F., I happened to pivot to an Ad selling a 1974 911S in May of 1988 and when I started that rear mounted 2.7 liter machine ( Purchased it for $8,500.00 - going price back then...) and started driving it...that's all she took. I'm hooked for life. Love. Love. Love them...
Anyway, thanks!
Not a bad place to park your money. You can buy this car at whatever price, drive it for five years, enjoy the heck out of it! Turn around in five years and sell it for the exact same money you got it for, or more! All the while, enjoying the pinnacle of the 911 experience! The 993 is always the safest bet!
Hello and thanks for asking about the wheels. These are aftermarket Fuchs, of course, that are made by companies such as, Fuchsfelge, Maxilite, and GMP Performance. I am feverishly trying to find the receipt for the wheels to verify the specs, which is driving me nuts. I'll keep looking, but I think the "Specs" is close to Front=(+52 or ET 56) and Rear=(+65 or ET 51 ). I purchased the wheels approx. 3 years ago and I'll keep looking.
Any more info on these wheels (brand, offsets, etc)? Thanks.
Bid in the amount of $62,500
@Alexiskaye08 Hello and thanks for asking. There is no mechanic or electrical issues with vehicle at all. The climate control works perfectly for both heating and A/C.
This Porsche is beautiful! Is there any electrical or mechanical issues with this car?
Have you had any trouble out of the Climate controller or has it been replaced?
I believe the Wheel sizes are: 8.5" Front x 10.5" Rear
@cccmanhattan Hello there young man. Hey, I purposely created the illusion with perfect ride-height coupled with 19-inch wheels that gives the illusion of the Carrera S look. So, yes it is a Narrow Body with custom features that gives the sexy, but muscular stance. I did the same exact set-up on my formerly owned (993 Carrera-4 Cabriolet) that is now owned by my younger brother. Anyway, thanks for asking...
Is this car a wide body or are the wheels playing tricks on my eyes and making it look wide, even though it's narrow?
Bid in the amount of $43,000
Yes, the brand new Fuel Pump Relay that's boxed in trunk area ( See pic ) comes with sale of 993. Note: strongly suggested for emergency as if pump stops working because of "Relay" failure you can plug in a new one.
Just added a couple of "action shots" of my friend and longtime Mechanic of 35 years ( PBR Porsche Restoration, Crockett, California) installing the Brake Sensors weeks ago.

@aidan786 No tape on RS Splitter. Screws to properly secure with no chance of adhesive failure.
@aidan786 Yes. I will have it Smogged if sold in California
@aidan786 Second this question! Thanks seller for answering all our questions
Also, on the front lower splitters- can they be removed easily/did you use double sided tape or any drill holes/screws in the bumper?
Hi Seller- have you smogged the car and/or will you provide a smog for a CA buyer at time of sale? Thanks !

@twickes40 Hello and thanks for asking...
The engine and transmission operates perfectly with no issues. The 3.6Liter engine has been well-maintained and driven an average of 4,124 miles per year,(which is key vs. a garage sitting 911 - I learned this from my mechanic who shared he's seen many extremely low mileage 911's come to him with issues after someone won an auction/private transaction because it sat so long..."leaks, seized lifters, etc." ) , which is not a lot, but surely it kept the internal components lubricated and moving. Also, the 6-spd Manual transmission shifts strong and smooth. No funny sounds, mechanical issues or leaks. So, no rebuild to date has been necessary. Also, my longtime relationship with Air-Cooled Master Mechanic, Pete Sorensen of Crockett, California since 1989/90 has maintained all of my Air-Cooled 911's. He has always been on top of evaluating anything that would need to be addressed to help keep my German machines running flawless. Pete once shared to me, "I'll take a higher mileage 911 that's been driven vs. one that has very low mileage, but sat for years and maybe started every now and then." I'm not trying to make a case for my car as I've seen 993's with well over 200k miles on them with no rebuild. Anyway...
@seller thanks for being so responsive to everyone. Any record of the engine or transmission being rebuilt?

@hl1104 I forgot to add regarding most recent service that both Engine Mounts about 2/3 months ago.
@Pcarsfan Thanks for making me virtually excited ( :-) at $410k, but I'm sure if you reach out to PCARMARKET Guys they'll be willing to fix an honest mistake. Good luck Boss!
@hl1104 Thanks so much for the compliment. I've owned over 20 Porsche 911's since 1988. 1st Porsche was a 1974 911S. Anyway, the best of the 20 are the two 993's I own. 1 Carrera-4 Cabriolet 993 and this super Fun Carrera-2 Coupe.
Recently, I replaced the Battery. Installed (My Mechanic) 4 new brake sensors. Installed used, but perfect Turbo Steering Wheel. A full service (see records) was completed about 1-1/2 years ago. I don't have original wheels, but I do have original steering wheel, Airbag, suspension springs and functional decklid.
Oops! I meant to bid 41k not 410k. How do I correct my bid ?
@hl1104 Nevermind, I did not sell the pictures with invoices. Apologies!
Does the car come with the original wheels? What type of work have you done to it recently? Thank you, it looks like a beauty. Good luck with the sale!

Okay Bidders and Watchers. Today I got an abundance of "Beauty Shots" in Napa, California (Wine Country) as today we got a break from Rain. Gorgeous day for pictures as Sun is beaming today. Apllso, I forgot to add that the Original Springs will come with sale to winning bidder. Yes, along with original decklid, steering wheel and Airbag. Goodluck!

Okay Guys, at 6'2 210-lbs and almost 70 years of age I-did-it. LOL!!! I squeezed my long frame into back seat and got more photos of complete dash uploaded. As well, I've uploaded more details pics of tires, date codes, thread, etc.. As well, you'll now see pics of original decklid, steering wheel w/airbag and front trunk area. ** Please let me know if you need any more details...

@PCARMARKET Super big thanks guys!
@Davidmcd2018 The headliner is in great condition. There is a very "small sag" that's barely noticeable right over head of drivers side that I may be able to get better tucked by this weekend, but again, there is no wear, tears or cracks in the headliner at all.
@Megatron335 Oops! I forgot to mention...the threads are very thick on all tires, especially the rear as you can see in pics on site. I'll submit more shortly...
@Megatron335 Hello and thanks for asking. I'll look for pictures of complete dash as I believe I've submitted to them and not sure why there not there, but I'm sure I can have them upload it within this hour. Also, the rear tires on this 993 were purchased on 11/07/2023, so roughly 14 months ago. I have receipt and will submit pics of "date codes", shortly.
@Asoyfer Hello and thanks for asking. I will ask PCarMarket guys to upload the pics of trunk area ( Hmnm...I did submit those pics, too) , and pics of the original steering wheel w/airbag and original functional decklid. Hopefully, they'll be posted inside this hour. I'm on it now...
Hello and no worries. I have a 3 car garage with 2 Porsche 911's secured inside. If someone needs a week or two I'd keep it in my garage for that time although I would like to look at 1-week only. I did this last year with a 1973 911E I sold on this site to a gentleman that took roughly 4 days to pick up after winning bid last year. Again, it won't be a problem. I live in a gated community and my 993 is and has always been garaged, so it will be thoroughly secured until pick-up.
Great car, GLWA. I just had question regarding shipping arrangements. Obviously full payment for winning bidder due within 7days, not a problem. But how long would you be able to store car prior to pickup, I know sometimes can take a few weeks to arrange. My apologies if already addressed in posting. Thank you.
Okay thanks for adding that. Can we see what the car includes in the trunk area? Also do you have the original wheels, steering wheel? I'm also not seeing the plastic covers protecting the undercarriage components. Do those come with the car? Also for the ducktail... does the original lid come with the car?
How much tread left on the tires and when were they last replaced? Do you have the year codes for the tires? Seems like the rears are a bit stretched and undersized for the rim width as the rim sticks out over the tire edge.
Also is there a pic of the entire front dash, maybe take one from the rear seats looking forward?
Thanks

Okay, here we go! I didn't see the submitted picture of cracked dash so I just reached out asking them to please update that specific photo. See email correspondence below as I just reached out minutes ago.

Morning Guys,
Can you please make sure the picture of the cracked dashboard is included in the auction. I see that I submitted to you on February 18th @ 9:49pm. I guess you guys missed it. Again, please include in group of all other pictures. Thanks, Raymond".
Note: So, hopefully they'll upload it very quickly. Thanks for your patience and again, you can ask for anything that may come up, but please give me an opportunity to respond. Thanks in advance.
@Asoyfer Respectfully and please give me a chance to respond before creating apprehension about disclosure(s) on anything as I pride myself in being totally transparent and will show and submit everything there is about my Carrera. Again, I did submit the picture to PCarMarket, so I'll have to see why it's not listed. And, if somehow it got lost in the shuffle of submitting over 120 pictures I'll make sure to have them post it.
@Davidmcd2018 Hello and thanks for asking. I'll look again as I submitted picture of the small cracks on driver side of dash. I'll re-submit if that the case. I've owned this Carrera for 3 years almost to this date and I've never changed the headlights as they work perfect and shine bright at night. Maybe its an angle or glare, but the headlights doesn't have a yellow tint.
Yeah I do agree that the dash needed to be disclosed considering there's a giant crack running down the center... I wonder what other things haven't been disclosed yet?
I did not see a photo showing clearly the cracks on the dash? Are the headlights original as they appear a little yellowed? Is the headliner on the sunroof sagging a little?
