Styled as a miniature version of Mitsubishi's successful full-sized Pajero SUV, the Mini was a Kei car produced from 1994 through 2012. This 1996 Mitsubishi Pajero Mini H56A VR2 is finished in blue over a grey cloth interior. It was purchased by the seller in Europe and subsequently imported into the U.S. in January of this year. It features a turbocharged 659cc inline-four paired with a 3-speed automatic transmission, a dual-speed transfer case, a suspension lift kit, off-road tires, a roof rack with a light bar, and more. It is now being offered for auction at no reserve by its seller out of California while showing approximately 164k kilometers (101k miles) on the odometer.
This Pajero comes finished in blue with gray lower body cladding, a black hood, and model-specific decals. Details include a chrome bull bar, a rear-mounted spare tire, a hood scoop, a roof rack, an LED light bar, window rain guards, dual side mirrors, and an additional fender-mounted mirror. It rides on a set of 15” multi-spoke wheels which come dressed in a set of Forward Safari 540 off-road tires. Fading is present on some of the decals, the hood will need to be refinished, and the seller notes the clear coat on the roof is failing. Additional images can be found in the gallery.
The right-hand-drive cabin features front bucket seats upholstered in grey vinyl with patterned cloth inserts and a matching split-folding rear bench. Amenities include power windows, and air conditioning, a dashboard-mounted multi-gauge including a compass, altimeter, exterior temperature display, and digital clock, and an upgraded radio head unit. The seller confirms that all gauges, electronics, and accessories remain functional.
Power comes from a turbocharged and intercooled 659cc inline-four cylinder engine, which was factory rated at as much as 63 HP and 72 lb-ft of torque. The rear or all four wheels are driven by way of a 3-speed automatic transmission and a dual-speed transfer case. The seller notes that the suspension features a small lift and that the truck was last serviced in Europe prior to importation with an oil change and new spark plugs. The seller also recommends that the gas tank be flushed, the fuel injectors cleaned, and a new fuel filter installed.
This sale will include a clean title.
