Available for auction is this 1996 Ford F-250 HD XLT SuperCab 4×4 finished in white over an Opal Grey cloth interior. While the tenth-generation F-Series pickup went on sale for the 1997 model year, the ninth-generation F-250 remained in production through 1997 and could be ordered in a large number of body and powertrain configurations. This 1996 example comes nicely equipped with the 7.3L Power Stroke turbodiesel V8, an extended bed, a 4470 dual-range transfer case, the XLT trim package, and more. It has been upgraded with an exhaust brake, a larger turbocharger, an intercooler, remote side steps, and rear air springs. This F-250 is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Oklahoma while showing just over 162k miles on the odometer.
The ninth-generation F-Series was designed to be more aerodynamic than its predecessor by incorporating rounder lines around the front end. This ¾ ton F-250 features the extended cab configuration along with an 8′ long box and comes finished in white. It is equipped with the XLT trim package which adds a black rub strip, a chrome grille, and several interior amenities. SuperCab models also received larger rear-side windows. Other features include chrome bumpers, a receiver hitch, remote side steps, dual fuel tanks, towing mirrors, and polished 16” wheels dressed in a set of Goodyear tires. The seller notes that a few small dents are present on the tailgate.
The cabin features front and rear bench seating upholstered Opal Grey cloth with matching carpets, door panels, and a dashboard. Amenities include a folding center armrest and storage console, carpeted map pockets, an upgraded radio head unit, power windows, air conditioning, and cruise control. A boost gauge has been mounted beneath the dashboard and the seller confirms that all gauges, accessories, and electronics remain functional.
Power comes from a T444E Direct Injected 7.3L Power Stroke V8 Turbodiesel which has been equipped with an upgraded turbocharger and intercooler. The rear or all four wheels are driven by way of a four-speed automatic transmission and a 4470 dual-range transfer case. The F-250 HD was available from 1996 to 1997 and used the transfer case from the F-350. The F-250 4x4 came equipped with a Dana 50 Twin Traction Beam front axle, and a Sterling 10.25 at the rear. The seller notes an exhaust brake has been installed along with rear air springs. The CARFAX report shows five service entries dating back to 2003, and the seller states there are no outstanding maintenance items at this time.
This sale will include a clean title.

@bdonahue54 No they are original, there is no rust other than normal oxidation. I get about 60 trucks per year out of the NW and all are no rust! If you need a better photo I can take some>
@bdonahue54 No leaks other than all these older power strokes do weep.
Have the bed rails been replaced? Referencing photo #73, wondering if those welds are factory or not.
@seller Photos of engine underneath? Any leaks from HPOP or Oil pan?
The tires are Ironman 235.85 16's and brand new. That its the original factory size that came on all the F250's. Additional upgrades done by the previous owner are:
