We are pleased to offer this 1996 Acura NSX-T finished in Formula Red over a tan leather interior.  Regarded as one of the world’s most advanced and innovative sports cars of its day, the NSX was designed and hand constructed at the Honda Global Research and Development Center in Tochigi, Japan. This first-generation NSX-T is reported to be one of only 98 U.S. market examples to have been offered in this color combination with a manual transmission for the 1996 model year.  Purchased new in Georgia, this NSX-T is believed to have spent most of its life in Texas before it was acquired by the second owner in 2018 who subsequently commissioned a timing belt, clutch, and water pump replacement as well as a major service earlier in 2021. Now with just over 28k miles showing on the odometer, this NSX-T is being offered for auction by its seller out of Texas.

This NSX-T comes finished in Formula Red and features a removable Targa-top as well as a set of 16"/17" 7-spoke forged aluminum wheels. The exterior has been treated with ceramic coating and the seller notes the driver-side front fender and rear quarter panel have been previously refinished to address cosmetic imperfections. Detailed images can be found in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report. The factory wheels have been recently refurbished and come dressed in a set of Dunlop Direzza tires dated from 2018.

Inside, the tan leather interior is said to remain very nicely preserved, owing to years of careful custodianship and climate-controlled storage. Factory features include an Acura-Bose sound system, 4-way power seats, rear and side window defoggers, power door mirrors, cruise control, and a theft-deterrent system. The seller confirms that gauges, lights, and accessories remain fully functional.

This first-generation NSX is powered by a transverse-mounted Honda C30A 3.0L 24-valve V6 engine with VTEC variable valve timing. The rear wheels are driven through a 5-speed manual gearbox. The timing belt, clutch, and water pump were replaced in 2018 and a major service was also recently completed earlier in 2021 at a cost of approximately $4,200. The car is said to be up to date on all routine maintenance with some supporting records accompanying the sale.

This sale will include the original owner's manuals and a clean title. For enthusiasts in search of an unmolested low-mileage Acura NSX, look no further than this 1996 Targa version.

@Hiroshikato1 - I will get better photos submitted. Local Acura dealer that did work on it said it was the cleanest one he has ever seen. No disappointments here

  • Hiroshikato1 (registered bidder) 2 years, 10 monthsago

@fcort7 Pictures 51 and 55. The carpet either looks over saturated color wise or stained on the driver’s left footwell. The shift knob also looks like it has seen better days. I am not saying the car isn’t in great condition but the post production of the images may make things look “worse”. New pictures might be helpful. Thanks.

@Hiroshikato1 - Photo 57 is a sticker and I am not sure why my photographer didn't remove it. I will do that today.
Sorry confused by your comment. The interior is immaculate with very little signs of wear.
It's an extremely clean well serviced car that has been cared for it's entire life.

  • Hiroshikato1 (registered bidder) 2 years, 10 monthsago

What I that paint defect and dent in the door latch the result of in picture 57? Also, do you have better interior pictures that have not been so "HDR-ed"? For the mileage the interior seems really out of line in terms of wear and tear. Maybe other pictures of the driver's side sill, seat bolsters and carpet would be a better representation of the condition?

  • richinwhb (registered bidder) 2 years, 10 monthsago

What is the status of the steering rack at this time? Thank you.
