We are pleased to offer this 1995 Porsche 993 Carrera Coupe finished in Grand Prix White over a Cashmere Beige and black interior. This 1995 example is reported to have been under the care of the original owner for the first 18 years and has resided in New Mexico since 2003. The car has been well preserved with factory labels remaining in place throughout the body including the original option code sticker. Today with approximately 49k miles showing on the odometer, this Carrera is being offered for auction by its seller out of California accompanied by original books, tools, and service records.
The Grand Prix White finish is preserved by clear protection film over the front fenders, hood, and bumper. The paint is described by the seller as being original, detailed images are provided in the photo gallery along with a clean CARFAX report. A basket-handle rear spoiler has been added along with 18” Turbo wheels which feature colored Porsche center crests and Sumitomo tires from 2019. A rear window wiper was also equipped from the factory.
Inside, the Cashmere Beige and black partial leather interior features electrically adjustable seats, a sunroof, cruise control, air conditioning, cassette storage, and a factory sound system with the original Becker CR-1 radio retained. The factory optioned 6-disc CD changer has been uninstalled but will also accompany the sale. All gauges and accessories are said to be working properly and only minor wear has been noted on the driver’s seat bolster.
The last generation of the air-cooled 911, this 993 Carrera is equipped with a 3.6L flat-six engine rated at up to 272 HP and 243 lb.-ft of torque. The rear wheels are driven by way of a 6-speed manual transmission allowing for acceleration from 0-60 MPH in approximately 5 seconds. A considerable amount of service records will accompany the sale detailing routine maintenance throughout the years. A fresh oil change will also be carried out upon sale to the next owner.
This sale will include a set of two keys, owner’s manuals, a toolkit, jack, spare tire, air compressor, CD changer, service records, and a clean title. Do not miss your chance to get behind the wheel of this nicely presented 993 Carrera Coupe.

Congrats, @Cochrami!
@porsche_dreamer Exactly...LOL! I know which one you're referring to!
@HelpMeHelpU Interesting. A 96 C2 coupe in arena red sold within the last two weeks on a similar site. Mileage was >90k miles.
@porsche_dreamer I haven't seen higher-mileage C2s selling into the 80s and I have been watching the market (as well as I can) assiduously.
Want to do a shout out to @ChequeredFlag as a great seller.
Sold for $82,500
Bid in the amount of $82,500
@bdonahue54 Agree...but it is an exceptionally clean example. As time passes, it will prove to be special, IF the new caretaker and future ones, treat it as a 911 should!
@HelpMeHelpU there’s only one answer. The market is moving upward . There isn’t anything special about this one in particular ( IMO)
@HelpMeHelpU FWIW, this seems reasonable/low in relation to other coupes sold lately. We have seen C2 coupes in the 70-90k mileage range go for $75k-85k before fees.
Wow--what an outcome. Given this is now fresh in our minds, please share your top two or three reasons that led to a 993 C2 with these miles trade for over $85k with PCar fees.
@turbotax Agreed...100%. Goes so well with ALL exterior colors...especially in this GPW!! VERY unusual to see this color combo...most ordered them with black interior.

@ChequeredFlag 4.5 to 6.5* (corrects own mistake)
Paint meter readings have been added to the listing gallery.
@porsche_dreamer I've submitted some photos of meter readings to PCar. Should be up shortly. Doors, quarters, decklid, and roof all meter between 4.5 and 6. Fenders and hood have protective film so obv they meter much higher so I didn't include those.
Bid in the amount of $64,500
@ChequeredFlag Are paint meter readings available?
@Neddy Agree again!
Bid in the amount of $64,000
@BlueTTop Looks to be a dryer sheet. I'm only guessing, but probably to soak up the condensation? Pretty odd, but not the weirdest thing we've ever seen. Anyway, it's been taken off.
Bid in the amount of $63,000
Bid in the amount of $62,500
What is “zip-tied” around the A/C line at the compressor? And why is it there?
@porsche_dreamer Definitely a case of "Pay a lot now" or "Pay a lot more later"!
@Neddy Agree with everything you said.
Doubt we are anywhere close to the reserve though... not based on the list price on CF's website.
Absolute steal at the current price level! As a side note: I attended Guntherwerks Cars & Waffles this past March...in conversing with one of their reps, I was surprised to find out that their donor cars are based on early '95 993's. So, better get this one now before they snatch 'em all up, just like what Singer is doing with the 964's. I can appreciate these restomods for what they are, but it's truly blasphemous to remove original examples from circulation! This one needs to go to an enthusiast that will enjoy and preserve its originality.
@ChequeredFlag are there any visible signs of rust around window seals or undercarriage?
Bid in the amount of $59,750
Bid in the amount of $58,000
@oldmanlin Are you talking about the brown areas under the black padding in the spare wheel well? If so, that is just adhesive. There is no sign of rust anywhere. It's very dry all throughout with no leaks.
On photos 88, 90, 91, the brown discoloration is from dirt, not rust correct? Also no leaks? Thank you.
Bid in the amount of $57,000
Car passed smog this morning, @cochrami. Results have been submitted to PCM and should be up soon. Hope that helps in your decision. Thanks!
Bid in the amount of $55,163
Bid in the amount of $54,912
Bid in the amount of $50,000
@Cochrami - I have two 1995 993's and no problems with passing smog in CA. BTW...IMO, the '95 is the best year for the 993: OBD1, no SAI issue, basket handle, and no immobilizer. The photos of this car are already very nice, but I went to CF the other day to view this car, and this color combo is absolutely stunning in person!! Alex and co. at CF are first class!
@ChequeredFlag - thanks for the tire tread data and correct manufacture year - my mistake, thanks.
@911or968 Tires are from the December 2019 so probably fitted early to mid 2020. I have submitted tire tread measurements to PCar. Thanks.
@Cochrami We hardly ever have problems with them passing. The majority of our cars sell out of state but not a problem. We will get it out of the showroom tomorrow and upload the smog before auction ends. Thanks.
@ChequeredFlag I’ll leave it up to you, but if you are doing it, it makes sense to me to do it before auction.
@ChequeredFlag - can you approximate the tire tread remaining? If I’m reading the records correctly, tires were replaced in 2013. Thanks!
@Cochrami we are obligated to smog the cars if they are sold in California. We haven't smogged it yet but we can, if you're worried it won't pass.
So is the car licensed in California, and thus passed a California smog test?
It's very beautiful!!!
Bid in the amount of $41,000
Service records have been submitted to PCar. Thanks.
Bid in the amount of $40,350
If you’ve never been to ChequeredFlag, I encourage everyone to make it a priority on your next trip to LA. Neil and his crew are first rate and always have lots of fun toys to see. It's a short ride from LAX.
@oldmanlin We are open M-F 8am to 4pm and you're welcome to come see it in person. Thanks!
@HelpMeHelpU It was standard with the car so I am not sure why it reads like that. I will ask them to reword it a bit better. And yes, we added the 18'' Turbo Twists.
@Cochrami We will be scanning and uploading the service records today. Will submit shortly.
@antoniodelgad68 I understand but the description reads "A basket-handle rear spoiler has been added along with 18” Turbo wheels which feature colored Porsche center crests and Sumitomo tires from 2019." It seemed odd to me to add something that others may want to remove. I happen to like it on '95s.
@HelpMeHelpU the 1995 993's had the basket handle 3rd brake light
Are we able to schedule to come see the car in person?
Difficult to read service records. Can you comment on any major work, such as clutch replacement?
@ChequeredFlag Thank you. Is it safe to assume the basket handle came as is from the factory and the description is a bit off?
@HelpMeHelpU we'll get it up on the air tomorrow for some underside shots. I would assume the suspension is factory. I'll also scan and upload what service records we have. Thanks!
Bid in the amount of $39,993
Hi Neil—Why does it say “basket-handle rear spoiler has been added”? Wasn’t the basket handle on all 1995 C2s until the very end of the MY ‘95 production?
Can we assume original suspension? If not, please elaborate.
Says has tons of service records. Outside of oil changes, what other more-significant services has this car enjoyed?
Thanks so much.
Life if full of regrets. Mine is parting with a 1996 version of this car with the varioram. My greatest automotive mistake. I may need to start prepping the Mrs. Beautiful 993. Good luck.
And...we're back! As always, happy to answer any questions along the way. Feel free to reach out. Cheers! -Alex
