Up for auction is this 1995 Porsche 993 Carrera Cabriolet finished in Black over a Black leather interior. Purchased by its second and current owner in 1999 with only 5k miles on the odometer, this 993 has been garage kept and diligently maintained throughout the years. Exciting modifications and performance upgrades have also been installed including 911 Turbo “Big Red” brakes and a Fabspeed performance exhaust system. Now showing 44k miles on the odometer, this Cabriolet is being offered by its longtime owner in New York in excellent overall condition.
The Black finish on this 993 is shown to be in very good condition and the seller notes that ceramic Liquid Glass paint coating has been professionally applied over the full exterior by Detailing Dynamics in New York. Carfax shows some damage to the front bonnet which is reported to have been professionally repaired (detailed images and paint meter readings are provided in the photo gallery). The cabriolet top is noted to be in outstanding condition and the seller confirms it to be original to the car. Exterior modifications include RS rocker extensions, RS-style front splitters and brake ducts for the front fog light inserts. Large “Big Red” brake calipers are also situated behind the original 17” Cup 2 wheels which feature new Michelin Pilot Sport tires.
Inside, you will find a Black leather interior which has been kept in excellent condition. A bolt-in roll bar was added and the seller will also include a corresponding harness bar. New Lloyds floormats were installed along with a hardwired connection for a Valentine One radar detector, although the interior remains otherwise stock with 8-way electrical seats and the original Becker CR-1 radio with 6-disc CD changer. All gauges and accessories are reported to be fully functional.
Marking the final iteration of the air cooled 911, this Carrera is equipped with a 3.6 L flat-six engine which is rated at 272 HP stock. Power is sent to the rear wheels by way of a 6-speed manual transmission with factory optional limited slip differential. This 993 has been upgraded with a performance chip, Fabspeed exhaust system and Porsche “Big Red” Turbo brakes with floating front rotors and stainless steel brake lines.
The suspension was also redone with factory Sport Suspension dampers, Eibach lowering springs, Turbo 26mm sway bars and a front strut tower brace. Proper maintenance has been performed throughout the seller’s 20 years of ownership including a recent battery replacement and comprehensive service in Spring of 2020. A full history of service is available from Lynmor Motorsports and the seller indicates this 993 to be in exceptional driving condition.
The sale of this 993 will be accompanied by a set of 2 keys with aftermarket remote-entry, original books and tools, an indoor car cover and a clean title. If you’re in the market for a nicely equipped and well-preserved air cooled Cabriolet, this 2-owner 1995 example makes an excellent choice.

@fjinva The can top works perfectly. There is a video on the auction site listing that demonstrates the soft top operation.
No lights on dash while driving.
A/C works fine.
The CD and cassette is operated directly from the radio face In the vehicle. 6 disk CD changer was designed with the location the trunk.
Will get you the tire date codes in the morning.
Thank you for your interest.
Disregard my question about the radio. I found it.
Also, it appears that there are 2 different sets of tires on the car. Can you tell us the date codes on the tires?
@palessio - are there any issues with the operation of the soft top? Does the AC function normally and blow cold? Are there any dash lights on while driving? Can you tell me what is up with the cassette player in the dash and a CD disc changer in the frunk? TIA
@Allensanchez Understand. I can arrange to be available tomorrow afternoon if that works for you. Let me know Allen.
@palessio that will be a bit difficult since the bidding seems to close on Wednesday afternoon?
@Allensanchez Hi Allen:
Thank you for your interest and your bid. I am out all day today so this afternoon will not work. Can we arrange for you to see the car later in the week? Wednesday or Thursday work best for me.
@palessio thanks. Have just placed a bid as you suggested. I’m in East Hampton now, driving west to the city in a couple of hours. Any chance I could swing by on my way? Perhaps around 330/4pm?
Bid in the amount of $27,500
@Allensanchez -
Hi Allen: I am located in the Smithtown area. I do suggest you place a bid on the car if you are seriously considering a potential purchase. Allen, I do not have any issue with you seeing the car. I am sure we can arrange that soon.
Good morning- where in Suffolk county are you located? I am in East Hampton - would it be possible to view the car?
