Finished in Polar Silver Metallic over a Midnight Blue leather interior, this 1995 Porsche 993 came with a rare factory “slicktop” sunroof-delete and was purchased new by the president of Porsche Club Italia. It was sent to Germany in 1997 where it was upgraded by RUF with a 490 HP Turbo R power kit along with a custom blue leather steering wheel and shift knob. This outstanding 993 Turbo has been with its most recent private owner since 2006 and is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Italy showing approximately 98,500 kilometers or 61k miles on the odometer.
This 993 wears Turbo-specific bodywork consisting of wider fenders and rocker panels, a unique front bumper with three air inlets, and a body-colored rear spoiler. The exterior is finished in Polar Silver Metallic and includes European-spec side marker lights, red-painted brake calipers, and a black RUF badge on the rear decklid. The factory 18” Technology hollow-spoke wheels are paired with Turbo-logo center caps and Pirelli P Zero Rosso tires from 2014. The seller states the car was previously refinished to address scratches and notes some small scuffs and blemishes on the front bumper, chips around the wheel arches, a very minor mark above the rear “heckblende” strip, imperfections on the driver’s mirror cover, and a touched-in chip on the passenger’s door handle.
Inside, the Turbo sports Midnight Blue full leather upholstery including a custom matching steering wheel and shift knob installed by RUF in 1997. Other features include stainless steel Turbo-logo door entry guards, aluminum-look instrument dials, and a vintage Blaupunkt Bremen RCM 43 radio. The cabin is described to be very well preserved with a minor scuff towards the back of the transmission tunnel and some wear on the primary touchpoints. All gauges and accessories are said to be fully functional.
The air-cooled 3.6-liter flat-six engine was upgraded by RUF with the Turbo R power kit in 1997 including new camshafts, upgraded RUF turbochargers, revised Bosch Motronic programming, a larger oil cooler, and a new exhaust system. An advertised output of up to 490 HP is sent to all four wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. Service history is available dating back to 1995 including documented repair of a turbocharger by RUF in 2006 and the most recent service by Marrocco Motorsport in January 2019.
This sale will include a collection of records and documentation, a dealer-stamped service booklet, owner’s manuals, a toolkit, and a clean title.

@Carrerafan I can tell you from experience that air freight will cost a few pennies but the car gets here in a very quick turn around. On a ship it is about 4-5 weeks once it gets boarded. Have done this a few times. Its worth the effort since the cars found in Europe are often very special compared to the offerings on US soil.
@Youngtimer_cars any idea how long to ship the car to the US??
